I like the Smoot signing. The other two I think are just camp fodder-- see if anything is there.

"In transition" implies that talent level has decreased, and they're retooling the roster to better compete in the future.
In other words, trying to compete while in a rebuild mode.

I felt certain at least two receivers would be taken with all the picks they had.

Really nice pick at this spot-- thought he would go earlier. Possible Day 1 starter.

Wanted Baker. Beane clinging to his 5th rounders-- or no one wants them?

Love this pick. Really impressive at Senior Bowl and the Combine.

He was 22nd best remaining by my board.... and my 4th best remaining receiver.
He was Kiper's top available receiver.

@HappyDays seemed to really have a premonition with all his Coleman talk today.
Going back to my first view of him, I really liked him. He was kind of an odd faller. Seems like he would have been a mid 1st round pick if not for his 40 time. All this talk of him being like Kelvin Benjamin is ridiculous. Watch him return punts for the Seminoles. Plus there's the gauntlet drill.
Buffalo clearly coveted this guy and knew he'd fall a bit. Perfect fit in the sense that we don't have anyone like him.
I really liked him during the college season, but was turned off by his speed at the draft-- until I saw him leading the pack in the gauntlet drill. I don't know how this will work at the next level, but I'm willing to give it a chance (No choice, anyway--lol).

I wasn't that high on the fast feather, but it's going to look bad if he thrives with you evil lot.
I still like Mitchell and McConkey. I would have taken either one at #28, but second round and adding draft capital is fine.
Maybe Beane will trade back again, who knows?
Having listened to him, he just might. He is going to have to start making some picks sometime, though-- or he could trade them for 2025's.

He sees good value tomorrow. Also likes having ammo to possibly move around some more.
-
He's getting calls for 33 already. He said, "we'll see."
-
Beane speaking now. Didn't try to move up. Happy he's got a 3 now.

Beane STILL hasn’t spoken to the media. Must be fielding offers for #33 and be looking into trading for a WR
He's probably trying to figure out how many 4th, 5th and 6th rounders he can get for each 2nd.

Right now, the Bills have a couple slot guys, and some 4th or 5th tier filler. Hope Beane has some big moves in store for tomorrow, since there is no 1 or 2 on the team. He also said he didn't think there were 28 guys in this draft worthy of a 1st round grade-- so he won't be getting anything like that with the picks that are left.
-
Bills won't stop helping Kansas City. Already got them a couple SB's with the Mahomes gift. Now, they have provided them a T. Hill replacement. One team I would never trade with-- the Chiefs. Just mind-numbing.
And they leave the 1st round with no receivers-- in a round where 7 were taken. There are a lot of receivers in the draft, but I don't think anyone left is a potential #1 (maybe Mitchell-- but he doesn't seem ready to take on that role immediately).
Really looking forward to the 5-7 round landfall the Bills have put together.

Given his history and age, feel his trade value is low. Much more value on the field with the Bills (his main issue).
-
All-time great on the field. Will just leave it there.

One good point that Nate Geary made is Keenan Allen went for a 4th. He had 110 catches last year. So a 2nd for Diggs is about right.
No argument. Just wish it was a 2024 pick.

Clear from the Beane press conference that Diggs wanted out. As to what is next, Beane just said the roster isn't set until September. Have the draft, obviously (no guarantee of first rounder there), and whatever other moves may be possible. Really not much learned-- certainly will look to add to the WR room.
I still believe WR will be taken in the first, with a trade up a distinct possibility.
-
So the next step is to move up for one of the top WR prospects?
-
Not against moving on from Diggs, given his drop in play and questions about his desire to be here. But nothing until 2025 ('24 looking like a bit of a reboot)? Beane must have more moves in mind (my assumption).

I don't believe he will be on the team. They will draft someone and/or sign a FA.

No surprise.

So the Bills don't have any starting safeties. Hyde and Poyer will be really tough to replace-- although age and injuries have taken their toll.
