  1. Well, I live about 3 minutes from the stadium, so it wasn't quite a transcontinental journey. Some large segments of society would probably deem someone who has posted almost 900 times on an NFL message board a loser.

I guess it's all perspective, aye?

Lol, yeah! You tell him! What an assbag!

  2. NO, ****. 34 is the new fad just like the tampa 2 was.

Well, if this is the case, we were 3-4 when 3-4 wasn't cool.

Borrowing from Barbara Mandell.......Please sing along!

I don't think we are doing this just to be fashionable. We are doing this cause the Tampa 2 was not getting it done. There were some moments of success, but over all I would call it a FAILBOAT.

    GO BILLS!

  3. Well, wasn't it Philips who made him the scapegoat and brought in his crony? I don't think there was any particular bad blood between DeHaven and Ralph Wilson or the FO.

Ya know if we did not fire DeHaven back then, it's a posibility Wade could still be our coach today....

    Great Hire!

    GO BILLS!

  4. I am throwing my full support behind Nix and Gailey. I am going to give these guys time before I make any rash judgments. Personally I like BOTH hires. I feel if we had these two years ago we would have been a serious contender by now.

I liked Gailey's no nonsense approach in Dallas. I felt he got a raw deal as does many Cowboys fans, even JJ himself said he was wrong to fire him. I love the way Nix flat B word slaps the worthless media. I like the way he says he is going to evaluate players. I really think this guy can get us the talent we need.

So I ask you my Fellow Bills fans to not go the way of normalcy and keep bashing the guys before they have had a chance to do anything. I ask that you join me in supporting them to the fullest and hope that they will field and coach up a team we can be proud of.

I too hate the negativity. Right or wrong, I am and always will be a BILLS FAN! I like both hires. Tottaly willing to jump on board and give em a chance.

    GO BILLS!

  5. Hey all who know my husband John, better known here as Beerball. He is very ill right now with bacterial meningitis. He's in the hospital in intensive care. Say a prayer please. It's serious.

Hoping BeerBall gets better asap and that everything will be all right.

  6. You could not have found cheaper hires than Brandon (St. John Fisher grad, groomed and promoted in house)

Nix (70 year old with no previous experience at this level, ever; been a scout before and a long time high school coach)

Gailey (out of work mediocre college coach; working for less than even Frazier would have I am sure)

There is no significant hire RW ever makes that is not 100% financia related.

    10 years of no playoffs.

You get what you pay for.

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

    ZZZZZ

  7. Who did you want them to spend big money on? Runyan? Levi Jones? Bring Langston Walker back... none of them will fit the no huddle. Not to mention what's the problem with our line right now? Our offense through 2 games is performing better than it has in 10 years. I'm fine with the youth movement.

Agreed, all of the negativity, 'figures', 'still trying to save money' makes me want to vomit. Heck, if I listened to all of the nay sayers on this board, I should have given up on the season before it started and just quit being a Bills fan.

    Good Grief!

    Go Bills!

  8. I keep hearing this term being used in reference to football. It started last season, and has become a term I hear in just about every other football article, and it has popped up on this board a lot lately. It sounds truly fruity, and makes the people that use it seem like tools.

It's been around a lot longer than last season. As a Bills fan I am sure you must have heard it in reference to Jim Kelly. I don't think it is fruity. I think it is something that is required in a QB. We have been looking for a QB with some swagger since the departure of Kelly (though I think Flutie had some swagger, just not a hold on the starting job). I think we are starting to see some swagger in Trent. Monday night he looked loose before the game. Gave me some confidence. I recall the Cleveland Monday night game last year, during pregame he looked like a scared little girl.

I am all for swagger. And I am sure there are much fruitier terms.

  9. I think of Marty in the way I think of Chuck Knox. If you have a MISERABLE team (think Detroit), those guys can make you competitive. Maybe get you to the playoffs, after a few years. But that's pretty much their top-end.

I've always said that marty was the worst kind of coach, always gets his teams to the playoffs, NEVER goes anywhere. PAINFUL.

But, missing the playoffs for 9 straight is pretty damn painful too.

    GO BILLS!
