  1. Dave's Takes Week One

    "Keeping with the Jacksonville-Buffalo game, Wilford's heroics wouldn't have been possible without a large helping hand from Bills cornerback Nate Clements. With a pickoff earlier in the game, Clements went for interception number two with less than a minute left on a 4th-and-14 play from the Jacksonville 34-yard line. Unfortunately for Clements, Jags receiver Jimmy Smith outfought him for the ball, resulting in a 45-yard gain on the play. Of course, it didn't help when middle linebacker London Fletcher kicked the ball after the play, giving Jacksonville another five yards for delay of game. However, this type of play from Clements doesn't surprise Bills fans, who are well aware of Clements ego and selfish demeanour."

  2. you know, i hate this response, but why don't you tell him so??? Nate Clements is not in any way a pansy, and i'll be damned if he's not in the top five players I would run my ass off to get away from if confronted in a dark alley........if anything the man is too much of a competitor, which is why he went for the pick  (bad play)rather than the knock down) correct play,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    Unforunately a football players worth is measured by how he performs on a FOOTBALL field, NOT in a dark alley. Too much of a competitor??? If you make bad choices in crucial situations, bye bye. We don't need ignorant thugs on this team, we need heady, tough, clutch players. We have very few of those and Nate Clements is NOT one of them.

  3. If you look at the replay....you can see Clements holds the ball up on his shoulder pad(trying to come down wit INT) and J.Smith had the presence to take it off him...Bottom Line he gotta knock that ball down....

    Maybe next the other defensive players and the crowd gotta yell "KNOCK IT DOWN"...

    When you go for the ball, you get the ball.

    Clements = Pansy

  4. Someone in the front office should bitchslap TKO, Baker and Wire for their stupidity on the last play of the game.

    That lob had incompletion written all over it!

    Exactly. Two of the three had their back to the play at the back of the endzone. Were they worried about the receiver making a catch in the tunnel? And Baker watched the ball and didn't make a play on it. You would think they would have mugged the receiver in that situation. Take the penalty if you have to and play the down again. Geesh!

  5. Congradulations on the dumbest post of the year. If Clements had any better coverage on the 4 and 15 play it would have been interference. It was just a hell of a play by Jimmy Smith.

    Were you watching the same game? Clements has his head up his arse most of the time. Whenever he makes a tackle or breaks up a pass he acts like he just won the Super Bowl. You must be his father.

  6. The first time he was lucky that his knee touched before the receiver ripped it from his pansy grip. But later in the game, in a very crucial situation, he has the ball again ripped from his pansy grip. This guy is highly overrated, is not a sure tackler, and get beat in coverage all the time.

  7. I would have to agree. Based on his stats, I was worried. In previous games he has looked very tentative taking very short strides with his head down. In this game, he is still exhibiting the same running style but his instincts are outstanding. He slides in the hole and always seems to get positive yardage. Not alot of wasted motion or dancing. He will break a long run soon.
