  1. I do think that is more of a coincidence than we realize. I think the Bills have their idea of best players and are hoping for one to fall to #8. Who those players are... your guess is as good as mine. I am personally hoping for a pass rusher to put opposite from Mario. This needs to be an attacking defense.

  2. Your score is: 3883 (Drafting Ability: A, Player Quality A-, Future Draft Picks: N/A)

    Your Picks:

Round 1 Pick 16 (STL): Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee (A)

Round 1 Pick 22 (STL): Alec Ogletree, OLB, Georgia (A)

    Round 2 Pick 9: Barrett Jones, C, Alabama (B-)

Round 3 Pick 9: Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse (A)

Round 4 Pick 8: Akeem Spence, DT, Illinois (A)

Round 5 Pick 10: EJ Manuel, QB, Florida State (A)

Round 6 Pick 9: Braden Brown, OT, Brigham Young (A)

Fills holes and has two good quarterbacks fighting to be the next "guy". Oh, if this were only a real possibilty.

  3. Honestly, this is as bad as I've seen it. I was born in '79 so I don't really remember watching the Bills until the 1986 season (4-12), even if I attended a game or two before that. 2001 was dreadful, but I remember at least feeling that there was some hope heading into that season. The start of the Chan era was pretty dismal from a fan excitement standpoint as well, but that team ended up being one of my favorite non-playoff teams in Bills history.

This year we've got a first time unproven head coach, with limited college experience and even less college success. We've lost our best offensive lineman and our only proven quarterback, our GM has been publicly outed as a boob, and it's unlikely that we are going to make any meaningful moves in free agency. I don't have much faith in Nix/Whaley to get things right in the draft based on their past misses, so I'm not even really excited about the prospect of bringing in some immediate contributors via the draft. Also, our biggest position of need is just about the weakest position in this year's draft.

I think we'll be hard pressed to win more than three games this season and I see 1-5 or 0-6 in the division as a likelihood.

I disagree with just about everything you said. Marrone did have success in college. Syracuse was a clown show and he improved the team to be back to back bowl winners. Wood is our best offensive lineman, not Levitre. Fitzpatrick was not proven to say the least. Nix is not a boob, he is a hick. Big difference there. We will be making meaningful moves in FA... Manny Lawson was quite meaningful (as you will see). What misses in the draft are you referring to? Spiller? Byrd? Wood? Levitre? Gillmore? The only one I can see as a complete miss is Maybin, but the rest of that year's draft makes up for it. QB was weaker in last year's draft (minus Luck and RG3, which would have never made it to pick #8 anyways). I think there are a few QBs I would be happy with the Bills selecting this year. Geno Smith is becoming more and more likely. And the Bills finishing 3-13 or worse next year... I'm willing to bet 1000 dollars that that will not happen.

The one constant with the exception of 2008 is Brady. The guy is arguably the best quarterback of his generation, and possibly greatest ever. I hate the bastard, but the dude wins games. Now cheating aside they still have physically manhandled us for the better part of the past 12 years. Our record since 2001: 2-22 shows how terrible our franchise is and speaks more about the train-wreck that is the Buffalo Bills. Buddy Nix aside our franchise is the laughingstock of the NFL and is a bottom 3 team.

    9/25/11 was a good day :)

  5. I am not an SEC fan whatsoever... but you have to give them the props. The SEC is now getting the highest rated high school prospects, coaching them with arguably the best set of coaches, and competing against the highest level of competition. I would select a blue chip high school recruit who has been coached by Nick Saban for four years over a kid who is not, almost every single time.
