1. I thought Kornheiser sucked; it was painful for me to listen to, he is an idiot. I hope they can his ass and get McGuire and Patrick back in there with Theisman...yeah, I actually like those 3 together, I'll admit it. Tirico isn't bad, I like him better calling college ball though...

  2. This guy is going to have as many weapons this year as anyone else in the league. C'mon now, Moss, Porter, Curry, Anderson is a decent TE, and Lamont Jordan is good out of the backfield. He better perform or his career is more than likely over I believe. What do the rest of you think? He's had 2 very lack-luster performances in the preseason so far and Walter has played relatively well. He could very well end up being benched after the first couple of weeks if his performance isn't up to Art's standards.

The Raiders didn't look good at all on offense with Brooks running things. He was crap last night and last week. Another week of that and I bet they go with Walter as the starter despite his 2 picks last night. That TD pass he threw was nice, him and Morant have their timing down. I'd like to see Walter get a chance with Moss and Gabriel both in the line up.

  3. This guy might be interesting. Football's Future had him as their #4 WR and a 1st day selection. :

    Martin Nance WR 6’4 213 Miami(OH)

    By: Robert Davis

    NFL Combine Stats: 40-yard dash - 4.58

When people started to take notice of Ben Roethlisberger his junior year, people had no choice but to notice Big Ben’s top target, sophomore Martin Nance. He absolutely exploded onto the college football map that year with 90 catches for 1,498 yards and 11 touchdowns. As a junior, he was off to another fast start. In the first four games of the 2004 season, Nance had 25 catches for 337 yards, and a touchdown. On the first play of the 5th game that season however, Nance injured his knee and missed the rest of the season. He came back this season looking to re-establish himself. Nance did just that, finishing with 81 receptions, 1,107 yards, for 14 touchdowns.

Martin Nance is a flat out playmaker. At 6’5, with great athleticism, and jumping ability, he is nearly unstoppable in one on one situations. He’s not just big though, he has good straight-line speed. He can get deep, and make plays vertically. Some people questioned if his success in 2003 was due to Roethlisberger, but he showed early on in 2004, and has shown again this year that he is a talent.

Even though he is showing he is back from the knee injury in 2004, it is something teams will look into. Even though the MAC has gained some respect nationally, it still is not the most talented conference out there. With just over two years of experience on the field, he has not faced the most talented corners in college.

Nance fits the mold of the big, tall, athletic receiver teams have become enamored with lately. He has all the talent to develop in the NFL. Nance struggled at the combine, running a 4.58 40 and struggling to catch the ball in drills, and that hurt his stock. He should still hear his name called on the first day of the draft.

Bills | Team signs UDFA M. Nance

    Sun, 30 Apr 2006 23:24:13 -0700

The Journal-News reports the Buffalo Bills have signed undrafted rookie free agent WR Martin Nance (Miami (Ohio)). "It's a done deal," Nance said Sunday night, April 30, from his home in St. Louis. "I'm headed to Buffalo on Thursday. That's when they'll have their minicamp."

  4. I'm kinda surprised GB hasn't signed a backup QB with some experience. I think all they have is Favre and Rodgers ? Seems like they'd want someone on the roster with at least 1 start under his belt. I bet things will get real interesting in GB if Favre retires now.

  5. Looks like the Keg signed with Cincy, his best days are behind him but he should help them as a rotational player...

Bengals | Team reaches agreement in principle with S. Adams

    Thu, 30 Mar 2006 18:09:04 -0800

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Cincinnati Bengals have reached an agreement in principle with free agent DT Sam Adams (Bills) on an undisclosed contract. Financial details of the contract were not yet available, but sources said Adams can make about $4 million in 2006 if he reaches certain playing time and performance levels. The deal will likely not be signed until the weekend. There are still some details to be completed and it is believed the Bengals want Adams to take a physical exam before the deal is officially executed.

  6. According to Pollock in the papar this morning, the Bills have already paid Eric a bonus this spring for $5M, and all thats left his $5M salary. Am I understanding this correctly? So if thats the case, if we cut after june 1(even though in CBA we can cut earlier and still prorate) is all the hit we are going to take $2.5 this year.

If thats the case, canages my whole opinion on whats transpired so far.

#1) Makes his trade value go up. I was thinking the bonus wasn't due for a while, and the new team would be on the hook for it. Now, oiif the Bills paid it already, his value in my mind jumps from a 5th or 6 rd, to maybe low 3rd high 4th.

#2) Also makes it way easier to keep him. I was thinking if you release him, you save 10, not 5 million. Now, your only saving 5 and you really need to consider your options.

I have been a levy supporter, but something not making sense here.

If you were going to release him, why pay the bonus?

If your going to keep him, why get in a pissing match over in the press over his salary?

    Somebody help me out here

I think they were expecting him to renogiate and take a paycut and they must be confident they can trade him given the lack of decent FA WR's. If the article you read is correct, it should be easier to move him like you said. Another 3rd rounder would be nice.

  7. I'll hold steady and say i'd give up EM and 1 of our thirds for Walker. the guy is a game breaker. With him at even 80% of what he was pre-injury, and Lee, we'd have a hell of a wideout tandem for the next 10 years.

    640847

    Hell yeah I agree.

    Unfortunatley, :

I think that Walker, if traded, would expect to redo his contract immediately with his new team. I think that he would hold out this year considering what happened to him last year.

    640847

And that's what will keep Moulds from getting traded, his sticking to his current contract/salary.

  8. Patriots are getting raided in FA. Clevelands gonna be interesting to watch this year!
