Suzie kolber must be nervous knowing Namath is there
Her and Erin Andrews...or anyone else in a skirt!

There is zero comparison between those two - Peters was whining for a new contract with 2 years remaining, remember??
You missed my point...IF we had extended Levitre 2 years ago like in machine gun kelly's post, we very well could have ended up in the same situation as we did with Peters...disgruntled player with 2 years left on his deal holding out. I was not comparing Peters situation to Levitre's actual situation this year.
-
Now the mistake was in Nix not offering him not last year, but two years ago when he played well and durable for two years an extension cheap at 3 mil. and we could have locked him up for two years. He was very serviceable, and at 3-3.5 mil for four years, it would have been steal for us and he wold have been ecstatic. We have not been a forward thinking team which is why we keep losing.
We tried that approach with Jason Peters. He got fat, lazy, and held out wanting more money. It was a good move trading him.
Maybe Levitre would have been fine living out the extension you proposed, maybe he whines like Peters did. We'll never know now. I'd be pissed if we had re-signed him for 7 or 8 M a year. Too many memories of him him being forklifted/thrown straight back into the QB. He is durable and played well enough at C and LT when asked, but TEN is nuts for paying him that much.
After the draft there will be a few players released as well. With only 6 picks in the draft, it seems like they HAVE to do something at WR in free agency for some depth. And I assume they are drafting a WR in the first 3 or 4 rounds.

Too old, too slow. Pass.
Thank you. Dude's way past his prime.

FWIW, Same guy was killing Cam Newton
Beat me to it.

Which almost for sure means we are out for Geno Smith, correct?
It doesn't look like Geno will be there at 8 to me, unless OAK trades out of the #3 spot. If he is I'd still take him. If he's gone we don't need to reach for Barkley or anyone else. I'd rather take my chances with with Tyler Wilson or Nassib in the 2nd if that's the case.
-
He played under the franchise tag last year, he won't cost that much after the Achilles...
-
Like when Buddy said he was fielding 15 calls a day for the Bills HC job--before he settled on Chan Gailey?
In his defense, I called him at least twice a day...I don't know who the other 13 calls were.

Just say no.

Seahawks aren't playing around are they?
-
DHB might be interesting at the right price.
-
Im rejoicing due to how wrong McShay usually is.
How he keeps a job with ESPN is beyond me. O-line is not a concern in the first 2 rounds even if Levitre leaves.

That and didn't want to go through another coaching change.

Meh this anti Geno Smith talk makes me laugh, The guy is still very accurate, extremely productive, passes the eye test, Has plenty of arm, lives in the film room, loves the game kind of guy
If Tannenhill was worth #8 for Miami last year, then Geno Smith is more then worthy of #8.
IMO the only reason he is not going higher in this draft is the level of talent at OT DE, CB at the top of this draft is superior, but for a team in need of a young QB like Buffalo at #8 this is a great place to pick him up. No different then Miami last year and Tannenhill.
but in a draft deep at a multitude of positions liek DL, OL, WR LB and the fact that the Jets are going to have lots of holes to fill do they really want to give up those picks
I don't think they would do this IMO
I agree on all counts. I don't think OAK will go QB in the first, ARI possibly. I can't see anyone trading up for a shot at Geno...

+1... love them.
+2 I could listen to them all day long. They know their stuff. Pat makes a good point about increased depth and eludes to special team improvement with the rookies. I'm going to enjoy watching the D and special teams this year.

There's a place for all God's creatures, especially the deers...right next to the mashed potatoes.

He's been borderline great for quite some time, but at his age and reported contract demands (12mil per), I can see the Bills passing. One has to question how much he's going to play too.
Agreed. No way they sign Abraham. Mincey is much more likely...
-
Whether you think he's a moron or not, I like the way he tells it like it is.
He tells it the way he sees it maybe, that's not necessarily the way it is. I don't agree with his statement that the Chiefs have the worst O Line in the NFL.
-
So last year they led the NFL in rushing with the worst offensive line in the NFL? I don't follow the Chefs, did they have a big turnover on the O Line? I thought they let Waters go but everyone else is the same as last year. Gaither didn't play yesterday
-
I take it you like his work?
He was referring to the TV show from the '70's "Good Times" Jimmy Walker was in it and his catch phrase was Dynomite
-
You didn't miss much. They started off the coverage with the Bills up 17-0. Pizzed me off.
Just in case, you may want to start your dvr a half hour earlier. NFLN may be off a half hour from their scheduled programming..
It was originally scheduled to start at 4:00PM Eastern yesterday, but they moved it up to 3:00PM.
-
Will that game be shown live/locally?
4 PM on Monday (tomorrow) is on NFL Network

NFL Network is replaying it Monday at 4 PM Eastern

He was on SiriusXM NFL about a month ago and sounded like he was in good spirits and energetic. He said he had had 3 major surgies recently, so hopefully just recovering.
