  1. Oh God, you CAN'T be serious!!!

    Mel Kiper on Mike Williams:

He is a great pass blocker and is exceptional at sustaining blocks as a run blocker. He is nimble at 375 pounds, often getting downfield to help spring running backs for large gains. He has enough polish to step in and be an immediate starter and anchor on the Bills' offensive line. Mike Williams at the forefront of players we

will remember 10 years from now.

Actually, Kiper's prediction was accurate - except for the first two sentences.

  2. Then you're probably pretty young.  I've watched this team for a long time and this is hardly the most frustrating year I've ever watched.  Ask the people who watched in the late 60s, mid 70s, & mid 80s and you'll hear horror stories a lot worse than this season.  I don't even know where to begin, but at least no top draft choices have signed with the CFL nor has any player signed with a new football league.

I remember the three Bills teams that earned #1 overall picks - OJ in the 60s, Walt in the 70's and Bruce in the eighties. All of them , and a few others, were much worse than this team. The difference though is Parity - it is much harder to be a great or bad team under this century's rules. But just as with communism, human nature gets in the way and some teams are less equal than others.

  3. Be careful!!! A lot of people don';t know this because many people don't get to sit there, but...

For the AFC Championship Game in January of 1992 I sat in Darryl Talley's seats. Second row, 50-yard line, right behind the Bills bench. Be careful! From those seats, you can't see about a third of the field. Anything outside the near hashmarks and more then ten yards upfield or downfield is obscured by the people, objects & activitioes on the sideline. It was a great experience for ONE game, but I'd NEVER take them as season tickets. If you're in the lower bowl, sideline seats, and you care about being able to see the entire game, make sure you're at least 15-20 rows up.

Not to mention the huge TV camera truck that tracks the line of scrimmage between the sideline and your seats.

  4. Yeah but they're great for laughers on the road. I have to admit BiB I've never been this disappointed with this franchise. I didnt expect to be 12-4 but I didnt see 4-12 coming either. Lack of talent, overpriced busts, assisnine play calling and when things get going poorly the team folds like a lawn chair with Nell Carter in it.

That's unfair. Nell could stuff the run and played well on the road.

I will root for the Bills and place a small wager on Miami -4. Not as a gamble, but rather like a sickness insurance premium. 'Twill ease the pain, just in case.

  5. That's the truth.  When I over do it on a Sunday, I get through Monday OK but I'm hurtin on Tuesday.  Welcome to the club.

That's OK - as long as you can suffer in the privacy of your own home.

What sucks is when your skills diminish beyond a certain point.

  6. We will be staying at Vistana Resorts off !4 near lake Buena Vista. I have my wife and 3 kids, (although I doubt they want to leave the pool) and my mother-in-law. I may just sneak out and watch it alone, but I don't know the area well enough. I was thinking of someplace at universal, but they are all basketball.  Would like to be with Bills fans.

Vistana. Nice place. I watched the Bills at Patriots Sunday Night game at the Cascades bar last November. A humbling but warm experience.

  7. . Art Modell seems pretty classless too. Anyone remember his dance at the superbowl party he threw when the Ravens won ? That guy shouldn’t be allowed to dance again.

During the merger/realignment negotiations, Cleveland owner Art Modell said,

" I'm not looking forward to having Denver in my stadium." How right he was!

Also I would add John Riggins to the all freak backfield. When he was with the Jets he ran the hundred yard dash in 9.5 seconds. When he was with the 'skins he got drunk at a D.C. cocktail party and told Justice O'Connor, " Loosen up, Sandy baby!".

  8. Don't be suprised when this team gets hammered tonight. Our guys can't stop Aaron Brooks, Kerry Collins and Lamont Jordan and you think we'll stop Brady and Dillon? Watson and Graham are going to feast on this D. Short passes and power runs will kill this team. Brady will be 24 of 27 for 340 yards tonight. On D they will stack the box for Willis and blitz the piss out of KH on third down.....it's going to be uuuuugly.

No party tonight. I'll watch this one in the privacy of my own home.

    <_<

  9. Well stated. If the hole isn't there, then put your head down and pick up the available 2-3 yards. You might even break a tackle and get a big run out of it. Quit dancing around east-west, waiting for the red sea to part, ala Antowain Smith. The OL can only be blamed so much.

WM's problem is that those bad habits got him 1000 yards against undisciplined defenses during last year's win streak. Against TB the hole, the cutback and the bounce out were all covered because each defender stayed home and carried out his assignment more often than not.
