  1. Even if he does stay a Pat, how's he going to react to the strongly enforced "defensive holding" penalty that he normally would have gotten away with in other years?  Me thinks that Ty Law will have some issues adjusting to Marvin Harrison...

Quotable I: “You heard it straight from the horse’s mouth. I’m not going to change the way I play. It’s been a little touchy out there, but it’s something we’re going to have to play with. They set the rules and we’re going to have to play within those rules.”

It's going to be a veritable snowstorm of yellow flags on Thursday!

    GO COLTS!

  2. I sure hope Peyton and company will look upon this Thurdsday's PM's opener as a chance for "pey-back" against the Pats for the mugging their receivers took in last year's AFC Championship game. If the officials call the game the way they have been doing this pre-season, I think it will be a long night for Ty Law and the rest of the Pats' secondary.

WIth the FIsh having to play the Titans, and the Jets facing a (hopefully much-improved) Bengals squad, I see a real possibility that the Bills will come out of this weekend all alone in 1st place in the AFC East!

(BTW, ESPN analyst Merril Hoge has actually picked the Bills to win the AFC East title this year! None of their other analysts even picked them to make the playoffs ...

Correction ... Scouts, INC from ESPN Insider picks the Bills to win one of the 2 wildcard playoff berths ...

    GO BILLS!

  3. They were handling them last week, and doing a poor job.  I assume they're doing better this week.  Good from a team standpoint in that they can save a roster spot, and also I'm sure Dorenbos will catch-on somewhere.  He's a good kid who's had a rough life.

Well, he's been doing the snapping the last couple of times (for Lindell's PAT, and also Moorman's last punt). So maybe he'll stick around.

  4. i think that stamer stays as well he is a great asset to our special teams.

I admit that I don't know much about Stamer. As far as special teams go, if MM really does continue to use more starters for ST duty (e.g. London Fletcher, Nate Clements, etc), I think there may be less of a reason to keep around too many players for ST only. But if Stamer is really a ST demon/stud, then I agree we should keep him ... in that case, do both Gildon and McKenzie get shown the door?

    63 C. Ritzmann DE 6-3 254 R - practice squad

    92 Jason Gildon LB 6-4 250 11 OR 91 Keith McKenzie DE 6-3 267 9

Add to practice squad (already cut):

    Jason Peters - TE 6-3 330 R - practice squad

  6. Long snapper is such a special art , and Dorenbos has the fastest delivery. I just don't see him being cut. After watching a blocked punt this week I think they will be equally as afraid of cutting him.

    13574[/snapback]

.... except that the block was due to having only 10 men on the field ... doubt a faster delivery would have made much of a difference .....
