I'm just stunned at how terrible he's been and we get "he plays close to the line" or he moves to FS and we hear "We don't get pressure" or my fave "he's better than Michael Huff"... How garbage!

Seriously, He's the new JP Losman in that people still make excuse after excuse for his terrible play. He just got Burned 4 straight times on the 2nd jets drive. All he EVER does is make a few tackles after he gets beat for a catch. Never makes big plays. He has 1 sack. ZERO FF ZERO INT and all of 1 PASSES D'd! HOLY CRAP THAT AWFUL!!! He needs to be benched or cut or something....

My worry is he won't be fired at all...................

I wish they ahd used Steve Johnson... at least in preseason he proved he would FIGHT for the ball. Hardy seems to just hope no one will try. also.. i don't know WHAT the solution is on the OL, but better coaching has to help.

yes... I accidentally wrote the former OL coach and not the new one. Maybe we can let Levy go, Cuck Knox, and trade Bruce Smith. You get the point of the original post. jeez.

The fumble was a total missed blitz pickup on mcINtyre (why did we let Barnes go??) The INT was not a great decision for sure, but Jenkins was again in trents face very quickly.

My bad I meant Kugler... maybe we can get McNALLY back. LOL! But our blocking Schemes have been terrible none the less. we have this huge expensive OLine and it's been god awful. I gotta think that's not all due to lack of talent. Whatever is wrong with Peters isn't being fixed it seems. and I've seen teams with less talent get a heck of a lot more from their players. I gotta think that's coaching and scheme.

I've been reading the usual forum overreactions. Trent is the same a JP. Fire Jauron. Ralph Wilson is killing us. blah blah blah. It's the typical 1hr after a loss stuff. I don't blame Trent at all really. he still converted 63% of his 3rd downs. But NO QB is gonna have success when your run game average 1.8 yards. Oline is shoddy in pass blocking at your D is not making tackles to stop teams and take the pressure off the O. I'm not saying he didn't make a bad decision on the 1st INT. But about halfway through the 2nd Q the Jets realized they didn't need to fear our run game at all and just started teeing off in the pass rush. No QB is gonna have success in these circumstances. Our run game needs to be fixed ASAP. I think that means firing KUGLER. (edit.. OOPS) Our big expensive OL is getting dominated weekly now. I don't know what happened to Peters, and that needs fixing. And the C-RG spots might need fixing as well. But our blocking schemes are terrible and the line opens NOTHING up for Lynch and Jackson. WHich leads to Trent having to pass against all out pass D's.

Interesting thread. But you're wrong about the cover-2. The cover 2 looks for "bend but don't break" CB's... But it actually DEPENDS on the Safeties to be the PLAYMAKERS of the entire D. Right now we are def lacking playmaking from ours. I'll add that I've been saying the same thing about Whitner for 2 years. He's a good tackler for the most part, but as a top 10 pick at S, I need to see a heck of a lot more than tackles.

Hey. I know a lot of our members moonlight over here. I just wanted to give a quick update that we are offline temporarily after our 3rd day of being hacked and hijacked in a row. vB, Our web host, and the Admins are doing our best to find out how they are getting in and doing this. If we keep winning, He might not just go to Hawaii, but he might be making a case for MVP. The usual suspects (Manning, Brady) aren't really in the running. No one is puttng up Gawdy stats at any O position really. No crazy yardage #'s for RB's. Drew Brees has the best QB numbers but not on a great team. D players are always hard pressed to win MVP. No one on Tenn, the #1 team so far really merits MVP as it's a team effort there. So that leads me to think that even with Average numbers Trent could be a serious contender. If he wins 12-13 games, the Bills are a top team headed into the playoffs, and he gets 3000 yards, 16-18 TD's and keeps his INT's under 6. I would bet he's right thyere in the voting like a Steve McNair "Just wins games ands teps up in big moments" type MVP.
