  1. ST coach was a weak link in Detroit for years. Can't believe we hired him. granted, Powell sucked...but, these were poorly covered kicks. Detroit ST's gave these up all the time under Crossmans direction. a Punter change will help only minimally. I hope this isn't another situation where Marrone sticks by him far longer than he should, ala Wade Phillips. Byrd was itching to play. National television crowd was perfect showcase for his next team. Inactivating him was the equivalent of a Buffalo Bills B word-slap, just to let him know who's really boss. Just sayin'
  2. Clarett... Thought we had a "player" in Losman...
  3. from profootballtalk: Chicago Bears newly-minted linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa is due to be paid $1 million this season under his one-year contract, according to Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune. Tinoisamoa, who was scheduled to make $3.25 million with the St. Louis Rams in 2009 before he was cut from the roster during the offseason, is slated to compete with Nick Roach and Hunter Hillenmeyer for the starting job. For now, Roach is atop the depth chart. Tinoisamoa is glad for a change of scenery after winning just five games in the past two seasons. And he doesn’t seem to mind that he has to earn a starting position. ”Just the chance to be on a winning team is worth it to me,” Tinoisamoa said this week, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times. ”I’ve been fortunate to get paid in this league, and that was good, but I still had to go home a loser. I’d give all the money back if I could win again. … ”There was opportunity to go to other teams, but it was like, ‘We’re going to give you the job.’ And for me, that was awkward because I know there were guys who had been working since the end of last season, coming into this year and all the time they put in, and they felt like they were the starter. The fact that I have to come and earn a job, it definitely makes me more hungry because now I know I have to earn my job.”
  4. Unreasonable optimism. We all fall for it. TO signed for 1 year amounts to a pathetic headline grabber that does little to improve the long-term health of this team. No effort to improve the DL,OL,TE. yeah, i know..some college punk is going to come in and save our franchise....can't wait. Owner states that offensive coordination is pathetic and yet, he does nothing about it.; Oh, and we traded away our most talented offensive player. yeah, i know...what choice did they have? how about giving him the contract that philly gave him. if he sucks, you cut him like Dockery. Stop drinking the Kool-aid!
  5. Apparently, just a lame excuse on the FO part to justify a crappy performance.

  7. I would be appalled if the Bills offer anything more for this guy. It will work out similarly to the Rob Johnson deal. He is always playing against second stringers and is the product of a successful running system....he will be the next Lamont Jordan.
  8. works out for Mcgahee being worth a low third round...seems about right.
  9. it's a business for god's sake...the NFL is hardly a honorable business...it is cut-throat and the Bills should be cut-throat. We cannot compete if we develop talent and let them walk away without compensation. Particularly, if we do things "on the cheap" as Ralph is prone to do. Clubs lie to players and players lie to clubs. Join the friggin' real world and play the game. Franchise clements. If another club wants to pay him big bucks, god bless. We get draft choices at least. The NFL has the franchise tag to give the clubs more power in negotiations with players, and to keep the playing field equal between teams...USE it for god's sake.
  10. At least twice a year we could a monumental effort by this chap to beat NE! The "deer in the headlights" bug eyes would have to go, though...
