  1. To win a SB, you need an above-average coach and an above-average QB. TT is probably an average-at-best QB. Therefore, you need a QB. EJ is nowhere near average. This isn't a playoff team next year. Cut EJ, keep TT around as a one-year bridge, and either draft a QB that you're going to give significant tryout minutes to or trade for a backup and find out if he's the next big thing. If nothing is going anywhere after six games, tank like a mother and get a high pick for next year's crop.

  2. The theory would be something like this: Brandon and Whaley, assuming they are acting in a coordinated manner, want Lynn because other head coach candidates would want more power over personnel matters, which would erode the current powers shared by Brandon and Whaley. Lynn would be accepting of the current structure and would not challenge the roles of Brandon and Whaley.

Yep. Spot on. On top of this, I'm sure that the league would highly "encourage" the hire for diversity publicity. Buffalo doesn't need a big name coach to draw fans unless they stop selling beer at games. The rubes will show up no matter what the results are and no matter who they hire, so you might as well hire the guy that's in-house, buys the moron president/GM a couple more years, and probably gets a couple mill under the table from the league into the pockets of the Pegulas.

  3. Maybe if Buffalo had a fan base with actual standards, you wouldn't get crapped on year after year. When your calling card is a bunch of out-of-control drunks who'll buy tickets no matter what, why in the world do you think owners/management will have any respect for you? You won't cancel your tickets. You won't stop buying gear. So why do you think they'll ever care if you're mad that they don't win? Hell, LA Rams fans stopped coming to games TWO GAMES AGO, and they've had the team approximately 20 seconds. You know what? They'll get a real coach and real players in the offseason. Guess who won't?

Cancel your tickets. Stop buying the junk. Then maybe you'll get a real team and a real front office. Until then, drink your beer and look in the mirror because you're the problem.

Hmmmm...Are you familiar with Bill Belichick? Ever hear of him? He trolls and mocks the media weekly in brilliant fashion...so brilliant Rex even said he's the best at it. And there are a lot of coaches that say a lot of things to the media, you just don't care because they are not the coach of Bills or a divisional rival where Rex has been both.

    1. His "stunts" consist of saying stuff in press conferences that he's required to do.

    2. He wins games. Lots of them.

  5. Whaley and the head of the medical staff should be fired. Today. The average player lasts three years in the NFL, and you give away one of them on your first-round pick to an injury everyone knew about but you flatly denied. It's clown-car personnel decisions like this that keep the Bills a running punchline.
