You have cornered the market on ridiculous posts. This is by far the worst idea I have heard on here for a while. DON'T pick because you want to find a trading partner...only they will still be on the hook for a #1 salary and you will get less in return? Yeah, that makes sense.
go F yourself if you dont like the thread(just so you know I would say this to your face)...who asked you to read it anyways...I agree with Tipster about you guys getting to liberal with your mouths..thers to much of this crap going on within this forum and its sad.

OK, a few years ago is when it happened with Minnesota. They did not get their pick in. Jacksonville skipped them and took Leftwich. Carolina skipped them and picked Gross. Then Minnesota made their pick of Kevin Williams.
This won't work the same way with the first overall pick. Could they? Yeah, they COULD. But they won't. The backlash would be huge. The NFL would frown upon it big time. It just won't happen.
if they hardly do anything to you for cheating what could they do for this??

great draft story from 2003
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/dr...ings-oops_x.htm
wow..good thing Balt didnt talk to the guy or they woulda traded the #10 pick and 2 other picks for pick #9..that woulda sucked

Yes, they can let the time run out on their pick, and then the next team is able to choose. Essentially, they are saying "pass" on the first choice and they slide in to the #2 slot and so on, until they can get a trade partner.
ok so when they actually do pick its still considered pick #1 so they still have to pay #1 money right or no?
could any pick do this?...what if Bills did this and waited till like pick 14 to pick? dose it help any at all?
-
could you explain further?..are you saying he can say "I dont wanna pick yet" and let another team pick b4 him?

Always interesting when Roscoe is 3 of the 10 top plays... yet he's buried in the depth chart...
this is why im wondering why Bills want to go with a FB instead of more 3 wr sets...only other option is to take TE out for FB but id much rather see a line of Evans, Hardy, Parrish, Carlson and Lynch than to see a FB and one of the 3 wrs out
-
dose every college players youtube have that annoying song or what??...yep looks like a WR
-
it tells me nomatter who they bring in as a #2 WR to help Evans..the Bills have to get Parrish the ball more..and to do this they need to go with more 3 WR sets..of course to do this this means you either bench your TE or you bench your FB..so I dont see Buffalo going to much the FB way this year...imagine these weapons on the field: Evans, Kelly/Thomas, Parrish, Davis, lynch..sounds good to me

not in mine either

to go along with ya there pyrite ..Im hopeing with the new additions to D and maybe a good DT from draft we can let whitner be a safety and reduce his haveing to stop the run duty...if we can let him actually cover WR's instead of haveing to keep comeing up to act as another DLman the secondary might get better
-
They could go DE because they need a replacement for Hargrove.
They could also go CB, WR or TE because according to the "Experts" here, those are our biggest needs.
What we do know from previous drafts is that they will take someone they want when they pick (even if the "experts" think its a reach) because they don't want to risk losing them, and have no problem moving up in later rounds to get who they want.
As for WR's, remember, they are not looking for someone to come in and replace Evans as the #1 (and its not going to matter if they have him locked up by the draft, for all we know they haven't even started negotiating with him yet on an extension), they are looking for a #2 guy, so they need someone who can play, but doesn't have to be great. They don't need a Johnson, or Fitzgerald, or Moss type player right now, they just need someone that can be a threat to take coverage off of Evans, just a change in play calling may even help that out too, if teams aren't able to predict our Run, Run, Pass offence from last year and defend it with ease.
I agree....I think the Bills are going to have a list inhand of ppl they want @ #11 and they have them graded according to what they like best...if any of these players are there at #11 they'll take him...so #11 is really a crap-shoot..we know they "need" WR,TE,CB,DE, but they might have other positions on that list of players...so like I said most likely its going to fall to whos on list and what grade they have....I could be wrong but thats the way Levy said the last few drafts have gone.
as far as DE goes..I wouldnt be suprised to see Spencer Johnson to move over and take Hargroves place...and maybe see Bills grab another DT in draft...from what i remember I think they talked about Johnson being good at both spots or atleast usable at both.

I like getting DRC, but if one of those receivers don't fall to us in the 2nd (which they don't in that mock), we are seriously screwed. We'd have to scramble for some old guy that gets released off another team and hope that a 3rd or 4th round wr will be good enough to start.
I'd like another top notch corner on the team - but we have an empty spot at starting receiver - we have corners, we need more for competition to start and depth. We have no second receiver at all, and no size to back up anybody. Receiver at 11 is the safest route in next year's draft and we'll have the pick of the litter. Corner we can address in round 2.
exactly ....I totally understand that last year we let a lot of teams throw on us, but I dont see Buffalo wanting to go threw another year of not being able to get the ball to Evans because hes duoble teamed and not getting the ball to anyone else because well..there is noone else...I dont like how that mock went from CB to TE when all those WR's were being taken...If it falls the way that mock is set up we have no WR core at all..dont get me wrong I like Reed and Parrish but they are 3rd and 4th wr's not #2's...I think a quality CB can be had in rounds 3-5 as well...and I dont buy into the whole "value" crap ppl keep trying to use on this site...WR is the Biggest need this year just as RB was last year so I feel they take WR with #11 unless they feel theycan get one of the better guys in the 2nd.

1. Devin Thomas WR MSU
2. Fred Davis/Kellen Davis TE
3. Mike Pollack C
4. Owen Schmidt FB
5. Jordy Nelson WR
6. CB
7a. Matt Spanos C
7b. D-Line
Also, Buffalo could trade down and add either another two or three. They would take another CB with either pick.
Im not criticising ur mock Im just asking why with ur 4th pick you think a FB should be taken instead of maybe a CB or OL/DL?...when Bills had the extra 3rd round I also had a FB in there in the 4th but since we traded it away for Stroud and because we picked up 1 or 2 FB's in FA I decided for my mock that FB wasnt a priority anymore...just wondering
-
thats why Im thinking
1- WR - Malcolm Kelly / Devin Thomas
2- DT - Trevor Laws
3- TE - John Carlson
4- CB - Antwaun Molden
or just look at my sig to see all rounds
-
WR Malcolm Kelly
DT Trevor Laws

QB 2
RB 9
FB 6
WR 8
TE 5
C 2
G 2
T 2
DE 3 - this year but if we can fill the LB roles id like to see a jevon kearse type de drafted next year
DT 4
OLB 7
ILB 10
CB 7
SS 4
FS 4
K 1
P 1
so alltogether its ILB - RB - WR - CB/OLB - FB - TE - DT/SS/FS - DE - QB/C/G/T - K/P
-
Id take beekman out and draft either damien hughes CB or Rufus alexander OLB ...I feel our needs go as is LB-RB-CB-LB-WR-FB-?-?..

bradely looks like yahoo seriouse

that was more a clinic in blocking that NIU laid down on Ohio State than the RB making plays.
he looked very good running in a wide open field with no one around him...
thats what I saw as well...every play I watched I paused and looked arround and every guy in red was being pancaked or pushed arround by a guy in white...I doubt NFL linebackers and D-Lines will be pushed arround that much for him

DAMN!! Champ, what he do..steal your shoes or something?

my thoughts:
1- you have no real running back on your list...I would take antonio pittman with my second pick
2- I think our 4th pick will be used on a WR and IF we grab a QB itll be a 7th round workarround QB
3- no way we trade a early 3rd round pick for 2 5th round second day picks IMHO
GO BILLS!!!
