  1. you might have to look it up but during the draft they interviewed coaches from the teams and when they interviewed Browns coach they talked about why Rucker and whats up with JR...Browns guy said they weren't really happy with Winslow but didn't really elaborate on it...looks like Winslow may be June cut or trade or whatever maybe..I know one of you guys recorded the whole draft so if you could find the Browns interview on sunday that would be great

  2. when are ppl going to stop bringing up the superbowls to try to get our goat?...its like they cant think of anything else to say so they bring up that one line....I actually liked that 64 guy..he seemed level headed and made sense...actually a couple of them seemed to know what they were saying...a few were like some of the guys on this board, supid and blurt out nonesense..lol..

the one thing that didnt make sense to me was that they kept saying all the sports writers, comentators were allways saying good things about Bills....Not sure what channel they watch but I never hear anything good about Bills on espn or any sports channel unless its local...theyve really got to stop smokeing schit in NE

  3. I'm really struggling to see how this was a good draft for the Bills.

We start off by picking an undersized returner that played against weaker competition in college who we HOPE will be able to come in and replace a first year starter by injury in Greer.

Next we draft a tall receiver with decent speed who runs poor routes and has trouble getting off the line. Two important areas for a receiver IMO.

Then we draft a walking suspension at DE instead of addressing a serious area of concern at TE.

Then we draft another DB who is a project, instead of addressing a serious issue of concern at TE.

The we draft a slew of ST'ers and future practice squad players, and probably some who will never make it that far.

We went into the draft with glaring holes at WR, TE, , CB, C, backup O-line, backup D-line, and backup LB. We tried to address 2 out of the first 3, but I'm not sure we really came away with sure things at either position.

I'm skeptical our #11 CB will be that much of an improvement over the CB's we already have. It seems like we drafted a McGee clone.

I'm very skeptical that more than 1 or two of these guys will be productive starters for the Bills in 3 years.

My gut feeling is the the Bills FO dropped the ball in this draft.

They went into the draft with four major needs and filled three of them with very good prospects in the first three rounds. McKelvin and Hardy obviously should start soon, but I feel Ellis also has the talent to develop into a quality starter as well. Unfortunately, I think that the fourth major need, a quality receiving TE who could provide Edwards with a target deep over the middle, was the biggest need on the team and I'm skeptical of the player drafted. They also failed to acquire a secondary need, that of a replacement for Fowler. I like the remaining day 2 picks quite a bit. Failing to fill the biggest need this offseason cuts them down quite a bit. I give them a C for addressing need, A for acquiring talent.

Overall, its a B/B+ kind of draft, at least on paper.

see Im not the only one that thought this way..I might have over-reacted..no I say I did over-react...I would have graded this much higher if they had just taken Rucker or Finley in the 3rd...I think its just because Ive been waiting for years for Buffalo to take a quality TE and they keep letting me down..I figured this would be my year...lol

    I change my grade to a B+/A-

  4. I'm not saying we could have gotten 6 starters but there were a few guys on the board that Bills could have had and they didn't take them..then you watch better teams with fewer needs take them....as FB goes I'm only upset about them not taking one because they said they were going to use one this year..I personally dont like FB's..if they're not multi-dimensional they're taking space a WR or TE could use...I think I was just mad they didnt address a need that everyone said was a need... maybe thats my fault for takeing it to seriously...I dont know maybe my view of what the team needed was way off...

Now I've heard everything--Ralph is "cheap" in the draft? How do you go cheap in the draft? Each player is basically slotted in terms of salary--don't matter who you pick, that guy's going to get a little less than the guy infront of him and a little more than the guy behind him. This is not an area that one can cheap out on--you pick the best player available at a position of need with your picks and they get paid according to the scale. Some folks like to use the "Ralph is cheap" thing even in cases where it's not appropriate. If that's not what you meant, I apologize in advance, but that's what your post looks like to me.....

no my remark wasnt about money..I meant it looks like i went to a tire store and went with the cheapest set I could find thinking a tire was a tire

  6. except the still huge ones at C and backup LT.

Most of teh starters from last year would have replenished the ST - maybe they should focus on players that may actually be able to start on offense or defense - if the need required (like last year)

agree...2 starters and 1 rotational guy is all we came away with..not sure about Corner but thats all I see

  7. mine averaged out as a C....Bills said they wanted to go with a true FB and none taken at all, even with Hillis lasting till last round...to many CB's taken in a year when we only needed 1 CB to address Moss...RB was not a priority and TE was but not addressed very well...I really hope these guys work out but it looks like Bills went with the cheapest tires to drive this team on

  8. Take TE all the way..in fact I'm hopeing some Te's are still there in round 3....Carlson,Davis and Keller are already gone...to long has Buffalo overlooked the TE spot...havent had a good TE since Kieth McKeller...meanwhile we watch teams like Dallas(Whitten), NE (Watson), NYG (Shokey), Washington (Cooley) all have success with TE's...Bills desperately need TE

  9. Predict the first 5 receivers taken in the draft today and who they go to.

19 Philly- Thomas - traded pick to Carolina

20 Tbay- Jackson - Aquib Talib CB

21 Wash- Sweed - traded to Atlanta

24 Tenn- Hardy - Chris Johnson RB

28 Dall- Kelly - traded up to pick 25 and took Mike Jenkins CB

I feel if the Bills think they will get one of the top 5 in the 2nd round they will be disappointed becuase there will be a run in the late 1st.

oooooo your 0/5 ...dont go to Vegas Buddy

  10. Expect the attacks to intensify on Jauron as the Bill increase the talent level on the team and he fails to generate results that meet expectations for that talent. If I'm proved wrong, I'll make amends.

the point was that in a thread about getting 2 WR's in the draft, a stupid outburst about how bad Jaroun is or isn't was not warranted or wanted
