  1. My daughter is six, and would love to go to a football game.  It's not going to happen.  Between what goes on in the parking lots (puking, pissing, cursing, taunting) and the BS she would see and hear inside the stadium, she is going to have to wait quite a while before she gets to see a game live.

My son is five and keeps asking me when we are going to a Bills game. I told him not for a longggggg time. 10 or so years and then we can do it, until then I don't want grown men showing him that it's OK to act like complete morons in public just because they paid $50.00 for a ticket and love the Bills.

We go to our local high school football games where it gets rowdy but not out of control, people act like fans not retards, he loves the atmosphere there. Why can't people be this way at professional games?

  2. A normal weekend for me is surrounded by sports. Football, Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, etc. Usually it's watching 5-10 year olds play and cheer. Both my younglings are very involved with our rec programs. And honestly, I have more fun rooting them on to a win no one outside of the two gives two rolls of the dice about but to me it's very much about pride. So, yeah, I'm addicted. It's about love and in my rankings my kids & wife are number one and sports are number two, not much better of a combo. I'd be watching pro and college ball if it wasn't for my loves.

But, the key is that it's very rarely that I get the time to watch professional sports live. Thank god for DVR!!!

  3. When does loyalty become stupidity?

I cannot believe this coaching staff couldn't figure out in all the reps they've seen JP take over the last eight months that he wasn't ready for the job.

Now here we sit with Kelly Holcomb behind center.

No way was I a Bledsoe backer but good lord it doesn't take a genius to figure out Bledsoe is a heck of a lot better than Holcomb. And really what difference does it make? Now we have a worse O line than last year with a QB less mobile and with a worse arm than Bledsoe behind center.

But, this year was suppose to be one where we "take a step forward" right TD? Right Mularkey?

We're going to end up 2-14 this year. Mark it down.

I couldn't be more disgusted to be a Bills fan.

  4. Wow! stuff is really coming to me now.

Do you realize that if there were no such things as boats, that Steve Olin might be the Cleveland Indians all time saves leader?  The BUFFALO Bisons are Cleveland's farm team and lake Erie is pretty close to Buffalo.

What do you see a lot on Lake Erie?  You guessed it.......boats.  see the connection?

Peavy was paid by Dave Roberts to not say anything about the broken rib to management so the Cards can get back at the Boston Red Sox for winning the WS last year and for not giving him an offer.

  5. Just curious.

If I refuse to go to games until they make the playoffs again and refuse to buy anything Bills related but still plan on watching the games and enjoying the occassional party at the relatives during Bills games does that make me a bandwagoner?

I'll root for them to get better but at this point I'm sick of wasting my hard earned dough on a franchise that I feel is spewing endless garbage about change when the only changes being made are knee jerk reactions.

  6. San Diego, what resolve. Being 0-2 and coming back with bells on.

Philly, this could be the year...part 5.

Indy, this could be the year..part 3, but in all reality they've got one heck of a D now. Of all teams outside of the Bills I'd love to see them win one.

Bengals, who cares who they beat? They are undefeated.

Same goes for Washington, they have the D to make a statement in the NFC.

Giants, holy crap is Manning looking like the elder Manning. and his offensive weapons remind me of a St. Louis Rams team of a few years back. Burress, Toomer, Shockey, Barber, Jacobs. Watch out for these guys.

The Falcons, only loss was by 3 on the road in Seattle. And I expect them to lay a hurt on that NE D with the running game this week too.

  7. With Miami coming off the bye and the Bills coming off a tough, tough loss I think the ball is Miami's court emotionally.

I think the big key to this game is going to be who is covering McMichael. I think we all know we are going to see a healthy dose of the running game from Miami and if they get it established you are going to see a ton of play action. If Posey covers McMichael we are in trouble. If Milloy or Vincent covers him it's going to open up Chambers to have a big game.

So, the key, as always for the Bills will be to shut down the running game.

I'm not even going to bother commenting on the Bills O, other than they need to get the ball to McGahee 30-35 times.

  8. Our defense has the great ability to fail to show when needed most...the jags and jets games last season especially...when the going gets tough, our defense folds...ie yesterday...watching mcallister run 70 yards up the field in the 4th quarter when they we knew they were running...

you forgot the Pittsburgh game where they gave up the 10 minute drive to seal our fate.

But, as many would tell you, that was Bledsoe's fault...

  9. This game is huge (Miami) momentum wise. If the Bills can come out and win, I don't care how ugly it is, then were are only a game away from .500 with the Jets coming in. If we lose this game it's gonna be a long road ahead even if we beat the Jets. We'll be 2-4 at that point with games in Oakland and New England before the bye. We'll be lucky to win one of those two.

If we can be 4-4 going in to the bye week and then split two games one with KC at home and one at SD on the road (not a promising prospect) 5-5 at that point we'd need to go 4-2 against the likes of Carolina, in Miami, NE, Denver, in Cincy and in NY.

Things can turn around but problems at Oline and QB are a killer no matter who you are.

  10. My favorite line to this is

    "Give me a better option"

I refuse to go to another Bills game until they make the playoffs. Period.

I've wasted too much money as it is on a franchise that has things like the "Celebration of Champions" so we can remember what it was like when this team wasn't a disgrace.

Call me fair weather but I've endured 10 years of being below mediocrity and have a hard time believing in a franchise that only values my money for a below average return.

So, Mr. TD and Mr. Ralph Wilson you ain't getting another buck out of me.

  11. People always blame JP, blame your super awesome o line for once since there the ones not giving JP any time to throw the ball.  Our O line downright SUCKS.

    462735[/snapback]

Amen. Didn't we all see this coming before the season even started?

Dline sucks, oline sucks, rookie QB, but some how the Bills are a "good" team. At least Boomer Esiason said so....and so did Tom Donahoe who couldn't build a team if Paoli was holding his hand.
