  1. with all this talk about character and Peters' lack of it, it was refreshing to hear Rhodes talk about how he just goes in and makes the coaches not want to take him out. He understands the situation here and he's just trying to turn some heads and make some people believe in him. Its a far cry from Peters' approach. Rhodes just wants to play. Good for him and good for the Bills for picking him up.

  2. Good question.

Mike Mayock of NFL Network is usually right on for the first 10 to 15 picks, but the problem is that he puts his mock draft up like 24 hours before the draft, so you can't really get a feel for things until then.

Of the sites that come out with mock drafts in the days leading up to the actual draft, www.gbnreport.com is pretty good. That doesn't necessarily mean they'll be dead on, but you'll at least get a solid idea of what players will come off the board at what time.

    That's all I've got.

yeah...that site has us taking a RB in the 3rd.... :)

  3. I don't want to burst everyone's bubble for ragging on the front office if/when they trade Roscoe, but I looked at what the Steelers fans thought was fair compensation on their boards and the consensus was nothing more than a 5th rounder for the guy.

They say he is just a punt returner and will only play a few snaps a game, so to give up a 4th or anything more is too much. Most here think Parrish will bring back a 3rd.

Just wanted to let you know, in case you have an ulcer when we trade him for a 5th. Bills fans aren't the most realistic when it comes to our players. Neither are other teams fans I'm sure, just wanted to let you know what was out there.

i guess the guys in the FO are just trying to dump his contract for a little compensation. i can't say i blame them, but i will be sad to see little Roscoe go. dude is a game changer.

  4. Man, there is a ton of hate for Kelsay on this board. This perception that he's a THIRD stringer is insane. He's a very, very solid backup. He is overpaid, though (although some of you have no idea how the cap works, still). I would bet that he would consider a paycut if he underperforms this season rather than be cut.

    deal. tell him after practice.

  5. I'd be shocked if anyone gave us anything for Kelsay and his contract.

Are you nuts? The guy is a beast. I don't think we should trade him. Kelsay is awesome! Russ, stop making stupid trades!

with all the evidence that GMs and media people read this board, maybe we should play stupid about Kelsey and his play over the past few years so that more teams are more willing to take a chance on him?

  6. :worthy::unsure::wallbash: :wallbash:

i'm not saying that a player's pay always IS reflective of his performance. I'm saying that it should be.

the difference is that you see things how they are and adjust yourself accordingly. I see things how they should be and try to make the world adjust to me. keep grinding away, dean. I'm a thinker.

  7. Why? The have his rights. He has no choice but to play. He gets $460k, not to bad for being a second (now maybe 3rd) RB on the depth chart. Everyone needs to stp with the hysteria about Fred Jackson. He is nothing special. He's solid. I like that he is on the team, but for the love of God, he is not Walter Payton.

    do you believe in justice?

    2008 salaries

    James Hardy $2,586,000

    Chris Kelsay $3,000,000

    John McCargo $1,337,500

    Fred Jackson $374,320

    Pay should reflect performance.

  8. Usually TO is a no-brainer early round pick, but now that he's on the Bills, he may not do as well as he usually does. Where do you take him? How high is he on your WR draft board? Do you pick him 2nd-3rd round, or do you steer clear because he's on a questionable offense? Or do you pick him earlier because he's a Bill? I usually shy away from Bills because they rarely produce, and when they put up a goose egg, i lose fantasy and the Bills lose, double wammy. But I always end up taking sleeper Bills like Rosco and Leodis.
