  1. And let's see the QBs that the tough Steeler D faced against the same QBS:

    Ravens: 24 (average) pats: 23

    Bengals: 18 (average) Pats: 17

Dolphins: 21 (average) Pats: 19 (average)

    Bills: 20 pats: 20.5 (average)

The one top tier QB they faced in DAX they gave up 35 points. The worst game for NE D was 31.

I took out the Jets because they really stopped trying when the Pats played them last and IMO skew the numbers. I also took out Cleveland because the Steelers were resting players and also would skew the numbers.

So NE against common opponents their D has out performed Pitt D. So with the Os being roughly equal in potency I give the D edge to NE.

True, both unproven in my opinion. I think Bell will create matchup advantages vs their LBs. Specifically Von Noy/McClellin.

  2. It was inexcusable that they had to carry 2 kickers - and even more inexcusable that not carrying Gay in the Miami game probably cost them the game! Before that last kickoff, I was saying, my god, for once in your life kick it deep into or out of the EZ. Instead, he kicks a low one that the returner caught at around the 2-3 yard line.

    That big Logan Thomas signing!!!!

  3. Am I correct if I say that: All of the possible scenarios of the Bills getting into the playoffs hinge on beating Miami in the Strength of Victory tiebreaker?

If MIA and BUF both finish 9-7 overall, then they'd both be 3-3 in the division, 7-5 in common games, and 6-6 in the conference. The next tiebreaker is SOV.

By the way, I see that Miami currently has the edge in SOV, .313 to the Bills' .306.

    Thanks...

I believe that is right and since the Bills beat NE and Miami would have lost twice to them, I think is the difference.
