Maxwell Hairston named in civil lawsuit for sexual assault
Jalan81 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can talk about 1000 cases but not a single other case has anything to do with this one. Lots of innocent people settle for a number of reasons. It may be cheaper than a protracted legal battle, it ends the uncertainty of a trial etc. There is also no doubt a number of people file suits as a gamble for a big payout knowing full well they are hoping they can convince a jury they have been injured in some way. I’ve worked in the construction industry for years. I know several people who were injured outside of work and then reported it as a work injury and ended up with a work comp payout. People are dishonest, the system can be played, by men, by woman, in all situations. -

Not necessarily, the burden of proof is much lower, it is not a given it is justice, just a gamble the system can be played for a payout. -

Part of me thinks that in a criminal case if they are not charged or found not guilty, you shouldn’t be able to be sued civilly. But that would be a perfect world where every case was concluded with true justice. But unless new evidence is brought forward, I don’t think one should be allowed to delay filing for years. LOL it absolutely does. She knew as a freshman he had no money, but there was always the chance he would become a professional athlete. There is no doubt they were waiting to see the outcome and filed as he was drafted. There was no need to wait all these years except now he has money, that is perfect logic. -

If you want justice you file right away, if you want money you wait until you think you can score more. -

There aren’t any other facts, the case is 4 years old. She waited till he had money to file suite. That in itself speaks volumes. There was never a criminal case, he said she said with no evidence to back her claim. -
I like the watching the replays on NFL network. With all the commercials taken out you are done in an hour. Sometimes the games are too stressful to enjoy live. I just re-watched the San Fran game from last year the other night it was thoroughly enjoyable to see. You also feel better knowing it’s a victory when you sit down to watch it. Certainly more entertaining than half the crap my wife watches on TV these days. Plus I’m not a fan of Baseball so it gives me a sports fix during off times.

I Did that for the Giants Super Bowl loss. Except I smashed it on the street.

No argument here. We’ll see if wide receiver has changed at all. I’m still confused at how little Cooper added, it was like Brady used him as a decoy more than a strength. Is he washed or just another player we couldn’t take advantage of their skill set? The fact we didn’t attempt to resign him makes it look like we think he was washed or didn’t want to be here. Sad part is McDermott has been here too long to still not have it all put together in my mind.

That is absolutely true, and I doubt our defense would have held up any better against Philly, but the point still stands, when needed, the offense didn’t and couldn’t make a first down at a short distance. Mostly because Brady didn’t have the answers when it mattered.
-
I would say it just didn’t perform when it ultimately absolutely needed too.

I was going to say I’m a happier fan during the Josh Allen era. Being OAF I at least got to enjoy the Jim Kelly era. My daughters are getting a good dose of playoff disappointment, I can only shake my head and tell them if they only knew real disappointment like losing 4 in a row, wide right, no goal, home run throw back…🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😢😢😢

Exactly!!!! Complete stupidity, too predictable. Easily fixable you would hope.

It does kind of make one look bad complaining about an offense that for the most part performed above expectations. But this offense in the end failed to convert a short distance which wasn’t the only reason but still ended the season. Too often during the season receivers ended up in the same area, separation was terrible, Josh always seems to have to thread the needle. Can scheme help alleviate this? Too many times receivers who completed their routs would stop running or did not return towards Allen to help him when he left the pocket. Too many times we ran plays that weren’t working IE the wide receiver screen. Most of this is easy to fix, I hope they do. It seems we rely on Allen to be Superhuman way too much.

Nope, it just couldn’t perform when it needed to. And forcing the Allen sneak after it had been stopped a few times was foolish.
