  1. Was driving for a few hours over the weekend on Sunday and heard a show with a former NFL player talking about how when he was a rookie with New England and was so excited to be there with Tom Brady and Gronk and all those players and he was literally sitting on the edge of his seat when Belichick walked in on the first day to address the team and couldn't wait to hear what he said because he just knew it would some huge profound thing...and then he basically did an impersonation of him and him saying "To figure out how we can win games, we first have to figure out how not to lose them."

He said he was bummed out at how mundane it was then but now realizes just how right he was...most teams lose games rather than their opponent winning the game.

And McD needs to be hyperfocused on EXACTLY this and drill it into their heads.

Because this team doesn't get beat, they beat themselves. They need to focus on first not losing games if they want to win in these situations when they find themselves in low scoring type games.

If I’m reading the board correctly, our offensive line sucks, our quarterback sucks, our offensive coordinator sucks, all but one wide receiver sucks, our head coach sucks, our interior defensive line sucks, middle linebacker sucks, cornerbacks suck, safeties suck, running backs suck, punter sucks, and punt team sucks. All should be fired, too. Did I get it all?

Pretty much. Pretty amazing for the team with the best reg season record since 2020 in the NFL.

Wonder how bad other teams must be.

The quarterback who appears to be most comparable to Josh is early Cam Newton. Cam's performance began to decline in his sixth year, and now we find ourselves in a similar situation with Josh. As he enters his sixth year, it appears that his performance has deteriorated in every game since the Green Bay game last year. Will Allen be able to revive his career, or will he continue to experience a decline? This is a critical question that needs to be addressed.

LMAO...get off the ledge dude. Like really. Get off the ledge.

  4. Allen turned the ball over 4 times, Bills were -3 in turnovers, led most of the game and once again it took an almost Act of God for a team to actually beat them.

They don't lose, they only beat themselves.

They'll be fine. Stop the panicking like whiny little pansies. It's truly amazing for a team to be so good that it takes them playing terrible and the other team needing near miracles to win.

I agree.  It was a huge problem last year as well, but he mostly got away with it (except for the Jets and Minnesota games).  He's always looking for the knockout blow too early when other elite QBs (Mahomes, Burrow, etc.) seem content to let the game unfold more naturally.

Yup, almost cost us in the playoffs against the Fins...could have cruised to a 30-10 win and instead he wanted it to be 55-0 and let them back into the game.

I mean he was basically one read and throw or bail the pocket and try to create something….often staring at the rush. He looked like a rattled rookie….wtf from a top 3 QB? Just strange.

I thought he looked fine other than the dumb decisions. This was an elite D FYI. Very few teams have the personnel to do that to us.

He’s right. He looked completely unprepared.

I wouldn't say that. At one point with 35+ passes thrown he had something like 5 incompletions. The problem? 3 INTs.

Just gotta stop trying to make every game into a blowout, that's the real issue. It's OK to win games 16-6 sometimes.

He needs to get a better understanding of how he needs to play within games when it's not necessary for him to take so many risks.

  8. There are no excuses for what he did and moreso for this constant mindset that he doesn't care what the game situation is, he is determined to blow the other team out.

Same mindset that almost cost us the Dolphin playoff game. When the other team has literally no offense going on, there is no reason to give them extra chances by turning it over.

Take the easy win and let the defense play. Stop taking needless risks.

It's one thing if it's like 4th and 20 with 15 seconds left and you need a TD...then OK,he is trying to make something happen. This is him trying to say "F the game situation, I am going to take over this game".

Dude...we get it, it's addicting to crush teams the way you have for years and years now. But sometimes it's more important to make sure you win first and foremost.

    Yes thought about it.

dorsey had a heck of a game plan for that defense. All Josh needed to do was take the open player. He didn’t.

that is an often thing with him and will get put in the OC.

just like it did with Daboll and now it is with Dorsey. I think people need to start putting a lot of the blame on the shoulders of 17 where it belongs

Allen has to start becoming OK with winning games ugly sometimes and not needing to blow teams out.

There is no reason this game should have been lost. Sometimes you just have to do what needs to be done to win the game and then go back to crushing teams next week.

Same issue as to when we almost lost to the Dolphins in the playoffs...Allen trying to crush them is what led to all the turnovers. It's one thing to go for the jugular. It's another to constantly try and force big plays instead of taking what's available.

  10. I think it's the opposite. I think he is overconfident and feels he can do anything he wants out there at any time.

He doesn't just want to win the game 16-6 like we could have easily done if he would have played safe and just kept checking it down. The Jets were no real threat on offense.

He wants to win by 20 or 30. Every game. That's a problem. They have blown teams out too many times and it's fun...it's an adrenaline rush. He wants that adrenaline rush back and wants to have it every game now.

He needs to be happy to win some games 16-6 like yesterday would have been if he just played smarter and less "I am HIM".

  11. Bills continue their regular season "Nobody can beat them, they just beat themselves".

It literally almost takes an Act of God for this team to lose during the last 2 years in the reg season.

Jets are a pain in this teams ass on D. Not many can matchup that well against us.

It's the first game...irritating as hell since we would have already had a 1 game lead on Cincy and KC but all 3 are 0-1 now. Bet the parlay on that bet would have paid huge.

People will freak out and overreact but what you see for the first 4 weeks doesn't mean a whole lot by the end of the year tho. They should look a lot better against the Raiders I think.

  12. Note that it was "heard". Which means there is no record of it actually happening.

There is a name for this and it's called "hearsay".

Pegula vehemently has rejected that this happened, and honestly this looks like a targeted and calculated move by Trotter.

Also note that Trotter has no liability in any of this because since there is no record, he can simply say "That's what I heard".

I find it hard to believe this would be discussed in public with NFL reporters in the vicinity to hear it.
