Ok. He slings the ball better and is more accurate than I thought. Maybe our OC can pick is brain for some KC plays?

Have to pack this away fro next draft season when Beane uses mid-late picks to get up and get guys he targeted. I'm fine with his strategy. That's two more draft picks who didn't make the team.
I have said that for 2 years now. The roster doesn't need 5th-7th round picks. use them to trade up in to the 3rd or 4th and add more quality, not quantity.

So for the business side of it....why does he have to go to PS first?
Let the Hamstring further heal and more importantly, give him a couple weeks or so to learn the playbook.

Please talk me off the ledge.
I could see this season with the Bills going 2-2 in their first four games.
The Jets will go into their home opener sky high.
We should be able to handle the Raiders and Commanders.
The Dolphins game could go either way. At least the game is in OP.
I just think that our team is weaker than last year.
I could realistically see the Bills missing the playoffs this year.
With all the pundants saying the Bills window is closing, I am starting to think that Josh may never get us to the Lombardi trophy.
First, yeah we could lose game one against the Jets for the reason you list, BUT we are rolling out new changes on the offense and Defense they haven't seen either. You can bet the Farm McDermott is going to come with some funky stuff with this being his first game as DC and its on MNF.
I get the concerns, but I think we are better than last year to be honest. OL, TE and WR's 3-6 are upgraded. Dorsey is in his 2nd year and most likely will learn from his mistakes from last year. He also gets to roll out "His" offense. The Defense will be better just by subtraction of Frasier and his ultra conservative BS including playing DB's 9 yards off the ball on 3rd and short.
Lastly, the pressure if off. We are not favored to win the whole thing so just play freaking football. We lose 4-5 games its expected. We want homefield advantage but if we cant get it, at least get the first game at home and I feel we will do that. I still see 12-5 or 13-4 as our record and we win the division after splitting games with NYJ and Miami.

I think he said when he got cut that he'd just gotten healthy, but he was looking for work at that point.
Reading between the lines you have a new HC and he wants "his guys" and the hamstring didn't help his case any. But hey who cares, he is a Bill now!

Why? He’s our second best one technique.
Yeah. We know. Thanks for your daily reminder of that game.
He seemed to have a hard time at camp and with the Steelers. But he did enough for the staff to keep him on the 53. I personally hope he pans out.

Wow, that was not expected. I would offer him a PS spot, call him up if needed.

There’s a reason we’re a top 5 team consistently. We have great overall team depth and an elite QB/WR combo.
Beane hasn’t drafted an impact player other than Allen. Allen being a QB cancels out a lot of problems. A lot of average. But a lot of average with elite QB creates a good team.
I remember Bill Polian saying QB. RDE, LT are the main cornerstones to a team. I think a top CB and WR are now included. Beane needs to hit in the draft on DE (unless Groot works out) WR, CB and LT in the next few years.

We will see how much difference having new play caller will make as it is the same defense. Hoping we will see McDermott be more aggressive in certain situations especially come playoff time. You can live with a middle of the pack defense as other teams have shown if you can force the opposition into making mistakes in critical situations. Against the elite QBs you can't sit back and let them just beat you.
Scheme can hide some talent deficiencies and enhance what talent we have. We will know by the end of the regular season where we are truly at.

Historically there are usually 30+ waiver claims the first day.
Here's to hoping no Bills are claimed and McDermott and Beane get their pick of the litter.
And maybe sign a couple upgrades.

I think it’s more of the stance you are taking and the guy you’re taking it with. Hunt hasn’t been an every down back in several years, why would he be that now? Also I think the overall thinking is that Cook can be that guy and he has earned that opportunity to show that
Agreed, we need to give Cook this entire year as RB 1 and see how he does.

Disagree completely. The Bills’ trio of Cook, Harris, and Murray is probably in the top half of NFL RB rooms.
^^
This guy gets it 🙂

I liked the signing but agree have not seen much in preseason yet. Will be interesting to see if he or Phillips gets to dress.
I would sit Phillips just like Von for the first 4 games. We need both 100% from November through the Superbowl.

No real surprise cuts this year.
Most on this board probably predicted 50 of the 53.
Most thought either Basham or AJE would get traded.
I think many had Q making it as a backup OT especially after Doyle went down again.
Ponna Ford not getting cut is a surprise to me.

There is no way Kyle Allen is the backup in Buffalo
Stay tuned
One can hope Beane is doing something about this.

I think its time to stop with the "Josh needs a mentor" stuff.
He doesn't need a washed up, marginal QB to hold his hand.
I want a backup that can keep the Bills afloat if Josh goes down.

One is a bad throw become an interception and another is a good defense play where the cornerback has his hand on the ball. Can’t recall the 3rd one, but don’t get an impression Davis is inconsistent pulling the ball in when watching the game.He had 2, including the first play of the game, that hit him in the hands and he dropped.

Josh and the offense played lights out.
The defense was aggressive and made stops.
McDermott can obviously handle the dual roles.
This team is definitely going to the Super Bowl.
Wow, what a time to be alive!
LOL. I saw what I needed to out of the starters especially on Offense.

It really pains me to say it, but Beane missed on this pick badly. I say listen to trade offers and move on at this point, heck call the Giants and see if you can get something
The Bills will have the highest scoring NFL offense in '23

I call 570 points for the offense this year.
