  1. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Jim Haslett yet. IF Donahoe DOESN'T get fired, Haslett is a natural for DC - there is both a Buffalo connection (for Mr. Wilson) and a Pittsburgh connection (for our GM).

Never mind...saw it in another thread.

  2. I happened to be at the Mandalay last week for a conference. The sumo wrestlers walked around wearing their robes and flipflops. It was kind of surreal seeing a bunch of 400lb men playing the slots.

Some of them could make great OL or DL, but with the training it would take, and the cultural transition, you're looking at 3-5 years apiece.

  3. I have Carson Palmer as my starting QB.  I am happy with him, but I have Byron Leftwhich as my back-up.  While I like Leftwhich as an NFL QB, he is less than stellar in fantasy terms.  I am scouring the waiver wires/free agency list for another QB, who would you pick up?:

    Kurt Warner (Cards)

    or

    Cade McNown (sp?) (Cards)

Barring injury, Palmer is my starter, until his bye-week, in week 9.  I like the Arizona WRs.  Anyone have a strong hunch, either way, what happens once Warner is healthy?

UH...it's not Cade McNown (who is no longer in the NFL), it's Josh McCown.

  4. So who wins the Super Bowl?

You have the Bills giving up 20+ points only twice.  That's pretty ballsy.  Looks like you'll be betting the under a lot this season.

A winnable game the Bills will lose:

At Kansas City.  No Bills team has ever played well in that stadium. (can't we get one home game vs. those bastards?)

The KC game is in Buffalo this year.

  5. [Larry jogs out to the mound to break up a players' conference]

Larry: Excuse me, but what the hell's going on out here?

Crash Davis: Well, Nuke's scared because his eyelids are jammed and his old man's here. We need a live... is it a live rooster?

    [Jose nods]

Crash Davis: . We need a live rooster to take the curse off Jose's glove and nobody seems to know what to get Millie or Jimmy for their wedding present.

    [to the players]

Crash Davis: Is that about right?

    [the players nod]

Crash Davis: We're dealing with a lot of sh!!.

Larry: Okay, well, uh... candlesticks always make a nice gift, and uh, maybe you could find out where she's registered and maybe a place-setting or maybe a silverware pattern. Okay, let's get two! Go get 'em.

  6. Last year I found a site, where I could put in the number of teams, the point structure of the league, and an excel program spit out the top 100-200 players overall.  Was wondering if anyone has a link or could email me a similar program.

    Thanks,

    Paul
