  1. This thread makes me laugh. The dude has millions of dollars on the line and he knows that he is consuming a substance that is against the law and is banned by his employer. Set aside all the debates on the medical benefits it may or may not have for his condition, HE IS VIOLATING THE RULES HIS EMPLOYER HAS SET FORTH. I very well could do my job just fine if I started the day with a fresh bloody mary right in my office, but my employer does not allow me to do that, and thus I DON'T DO IT. I have no sympathy for Seantrel Henderson or anyone that defends him.

  2. I haven't posted in about 4 years. I'm coming out of retirement to say I completely agree with the topic of this thread. On the last TD drive of the game, Tyrod was more focused on trash talking opponents after being pushed out of bounds instead of focusing on the fact that he still had a chance to win the game. His body language for the entire drive was that of a guy who already gave up on the game. His behavior reminded me of Cam Newton clamming up in front of that fumbled ball late in Super Bowl 50.

He comes up small in the big moments and big in the small moments, just like his mouth-breathing foot-loving coach.

  3. Thanks guys for flaming me or making me feel welcome to be back. I missed it all. Many of you here have pointed out that it's childish to take the losses so seriously and you're absolutely right about that. I'm actually a pretty nice guy if you give me another chance.

I vouch for this guy. He goes by many names, realtruelove, Real T, T Love, Papa T Love. Sometimes he lets his passion get the best of him, but he always comes around in the end. Don't bail on him, because T LOVE EVERYBODY.

  4. Someone stole my 1977 f150 in like 1991 or so....I remember the feeling of walking out my door and it being gone (****ty feeling, that), sorry for your loss. Hope you get it back or get something else you like.

My truck, it looked great.... I worked at a collision shop. the paint and interior were beautiful. The truck only cost me 500$ when I bought it. It had about 200,000 on the clicker but the frame was seriously rusted out. I drove it about 5 years. Shortly before they stole it the upper control arm broke off from the frame and it made a real serious loud bang if you hit a bump going faster than 30. They drove it a few blocks away and parked it. My friend just happened to see it while he was driving up Rhode Island (I lived in the west side at the time) and I went and picked it back up no worse for wear (although I did have to replace the thing the key went in as they used a screw driver to start it). When I left Buffalo in 93 (yes, I drove it that way for almost 2 years lol), I sold it for 500 just for the body parts. Worked out pretty good. I loved that truck, was a great vehicle. BTW, I "borrowed" a car when I was a kid and drove it all over the place (a bunch of times), of course my parents didn't know about it and I was only 14, I guess I deserve the death penalty.

    You're lucky to be alive....

  5. My friend had an old Buick stolen from him outside of his apartment in Chicago. They found it a week later, the police suspected some kids just were taking it on a joy ride. It was a beater to begin with, so I think they ruined the ignition and my friend collected less than $1k from the insurance company.

As a side bar, when I read stuff like this I wish they had the death penalty for all crimes, especially robbery. When I was in 8th grade I read a pre-1994 biography of OJ Simpson. OJ stole lots of cars during his teen years in San Francisco. The biographer depicted this type of behavior as harmless tomfoolery of a young OJ. If they had administered my suggested punishment and just killed OJ for doing this, he never would have killed Nicole and Goldman.

  6. Since I like to tinker, I basically built a workshop/refuge with everything I need. When I have friends over, we basically hang out in there. It's a finished concrete floor (think garage floor) and seating is adirondack chairs, office chairs, camping chairs, etc...The office chairs were on their way to Goodwill, but faux leather and casters is too good to pass up. Easy to clean sawdust off of and rolls like a dream. Here's a couple picks I had on my phone (was in the middle of a project, so it's a mess and the phone camera leaves a lot to be desired)

While a bar is nice, if you can combine the space with something else you enjoy, it may be worth your time. My buddy who homebrews basically has a mini-brewery and the way he set it up is about as comfortable a sany pub I've been in.

I think your setup is ideal. It's really a homey looking shop. You go to do a project and you still have a TV. Good use of space IMHO. Building a space that's just a bar would never get used.

  7.

I am conflicted about this. When I think of Duff's, I think of the original location on Sheridan. All the other places are just knock-offs. Wings are not hard to make good. Going to the Duff's on Sheridan was about the experience. I always liked sitting in that cramped little room and feeling bloated and dehydrated after 20 wings, fries and a pitcher of beer. The one in Orchard Park is too "upscale". Also, it is confusing now because when I tell an out of towner to go to Duff's, they may go to the "wrong" one and never know the difference.

  8. Disagree with this. I'm fine with the smaller memory because I'm at Wi-Fi most places nowadays and can stream what I need (gym, work, home, restaurants all have wifi).

I got the 32 GB black iphone 5. So far so good. Now I can clutter up this thing with movies that I will never watch...

  9. for my parents. Nook vs Tablet vs Kindle vs iPad.

Basically they want something smaller than a laptop to read books, newspapers and to check in online when on the road. I would imagine the iPad and Tablet maybe more than they really need.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Never thought I'd be drinking the Apple Kool-Aid like this, but I say go iPad. We bought a Kindle Fire for my father-in-law and he hasn't really made the transition. He's happy to borrow my iPad, however.

  10. One play in Leodis' career stands out to me as to his desire and gutsiness.

It was last year vs the Titans. He was back for a punt or KO, don't remember. But the kick was short and some other Bill picked it up and started running with it. Leodis ran past the ball carrier and completely pummeled a Titan Line Backer that had to out wiegh him by at least 50lbs. Leodis went back to the bench, but the Titan LB didn't get up. The training staff had to come over and help him up.

That in addition to all the other great plays he's made.

I also think he's a much better DB than given credit for here on TBD. Light years better than Williams. And to my way of thinking should be playing at CB a lot more. Part of the reason for our success on D last week I believe was more Leodis at CB and less of Aaron Williams.

I hope he gets re signed in the off season. We have to keep the talent we do have.

I will always remember him for brining the kickoff out of the endzone and fumbling in the 4th quarter with a 11 point lead against the Pats on Monday night a few years ago.

  11. I think most other sports have really cleaned up their act in this area over the past 20 years. Football is finally starting to get it too; I think some of the more successful franchises have put an end it to. I've been told that fighting in Gillette Stadium will cost you your season tickets, no questions. I would bet the same thing happens in places like Washington or Dallas.

Franchises like Buffalo, Cleveland and Oakland are sadly a bit behind the curve.

I wish they would ban you for life at the Ralph for fighting. I hate anyone who defends fighting at a Bills game.

  12. Exactly. I know everyone wants to blame college kids but a lot of people act like idiots. For some reason, some people think that going to a football game means you can act like an idiot. It's the same mentality that people have when they talk crap over the internet.

I enjoy tailgating to the fullest and have never once been close to getting into a fight. As for opposing fans, I love to give them a little good natured grief but I also try and make things enjoyable for the, as well to make Buffalo look good. Instead of being idiots and jerks, we could use the Bills as a great way to promote our city. There's nothing wrong with having a good time, jsut don't act like an idiot.

Less about age and more about socio-economic background. Most of the time these people have nothing else to live for. Getting drunk and knocking out a guy at a Bills game will be one of the few highlights of their life. If you respond to this thread and defend fist fighting at sporting events then you are probably a loser too.

  13. I was in the upper deck Sunday, and across the aisle from me there was a group of people(men, women & children) all with Greenwood Chiefs jerseys on. Never heard of the guy, but it didn't take a rocket scientist to know that they were family members. Instead of some good natured booing or razzing, there were a group of 20 something punks a few rows behind me who decided it would be cool to chant "F*** the Chiefs" at these people ALL game long. The entire upper deck appeared to be made up of a typical Saturday night chip strip crowd.

Maybe I'm getting old. Maybe the crowd is getting worse. Maybe a combination of both, but I have grown tired of going to games at RWS.

Like I pointed out in another thread, good decision to replace patdowns with metal detector wanding. You will now catch everyone walking into the game with keys and change in their pockets, but not catch someone with a plastic flask of liquor.

I think they should have zero tolerance policies. Any behavior remotely resembling this gets you a lifetime ban.
