i honestly don't even know how to pronounce it.

    is it Ad-on-ay? Adon-aye? A-done-yay? A-done-knee-ya? A-aron?

Amy Grant released a very popular Christian song “El Shaddai” in 1982. It includes the name Adonai. She pronounced it “ah-doe-nigh”.   Adonai Mitchell’s parents may have heard “El Shaddai” on the radio or at church. I know I did.

  2. I was a big OJ fan growing up. We moved out of Buffalo around the time he started playing for the Bills & he was the main reason any Buffalo games were shown nationwide, which was my only chance to watch Bills.

Growing up a big sports fan, my childhood heroes (other than my dad) were athletes & many also turned out to be great people, like Lou Brock (St Louis Cardinals), the Selmon Brothers (Oklahoma football), etc.,  However, not all of my childhood heroes were worth idolizing and some are now not worth remembering….OJ tops that list for me. In the end, my only wish for OJ was for a deathbed confession, but that apparently didn’t happen, or his family will never share it.

  3. I have to admit that you did predict Diggs being traded, & his production & performance was below average for him for the rest of the season.

You did miss your IR prediction, but overall it does look like a much better take today than it did then.

The unanswered question is whether Diggs declining production was due to a bad attitude, a change in the OC or nagging injuries.  It could’ve been all three. The way he was traded in the offseason leads me to believe his attitude was at least a part of his subpar performance.

I wonder if was more simply that Diggs didn't like Allen getting all the attention and being the face of the franchise.   He felt he should be  getting more credit.  Add to that less targets.

That’s been the problem all along. Diggs is a me first guy. He’s been jealous of Allen getting the majority of the attention and credit. Meanwhile, Allen has been staying positive & professional & covering for Diggs crappy attitude for the last couple seasons.   Diggs has & will stab Allen in the back.

  5. I’m not sorry to see Diggs go. He’s totally self focused, not team focused. He will be rejuvenated in Houston for the first season or two, as he will be driven by perceived slights by Buffalo.  Be ready for Digg’s negative cryptic shots at Josh Allen & all things Buffalo over the next 6 months.

Unless Houston wins a Super Bowl AND. he is given credit for it, expect Diggs to return to negative, cryptic Diggs for Houston in a couple years.

We really need a great WR & S through drafting or trades, but I expect a breath of fresh air in Buffalo and a whole lot less egg shells in the locker room to step around.

  6. Minnesota fans warned us.  We should have noticed Diggs has an expiration date closer to a loaf of bread than twinkies.  He is too self focused to be a team player on a long term basis.  I just wish Beane could figure out a way to move Diggs without wrecking our roster.

5 years from now Josh Allen will be out of the league and/or a shell of himself like Cam Newton and it will be dark days for many years again as Bills fans continue to watch Mahomes and the Chiefs rack up the Lombardis and realize the true impact of the events of the 2017 draft.

This was just too easy. Almost every take of FilthyBeast is unpopular here.  Of course, almost every take of FilthyBeast is popular on KC or Miami message boards.

  8. Being in Oklahoma, I’ve watched Worthy play in several games for Texas. I thought he really avoided contact last year, but did improve on that somewhat this past season.  Still, I will be surprised if he can stay healthy. You can only avoid contact by running out of bounds so many times in the NFL.  I hope Buffalo doesn’t draft Worthy.

Looking at that board, if it is real, I would guess wide right.       I hope she wins big this week. I never watch the show, but may have to this time, for a Bills fan chance at victory .

  10. One more question for cap experts .  Can Buffalo negotiate a Diggs trade where the other team takes on at least some of Diggs dead cap $?   If that’s possible, wouldn’t it be worth taking a lower round draft pick for Diggs if it significantly reduced the dead cap hit.

  11. I’m trying to look at this as objectively as possible . We scored more points tonight than any previous KC opponent. That includes missing a simple 44 yard field goal. If we hadn’t been decimated by defensive injuries the previous 2 weeks, I think we would’ve won the game.

If Milano & Bernard can stay healthy next season, we should have a good defense.  We need to draft WR, S, WR, in the first 3 rounds. Get a new kicker & try again.

Diggs is a shadow of himself.

He has been playing like a middling WR since about week 10. Unless he is hurt and that is the reason why he has been so poor, we are stuck with a horrible contract.

He is supposed to have hurt his foot. His problem tonight was his hands.  He dropped 2 big passes. He also fumbled one one of his few catches.

  13. Shakir has really played well. I  am excited for us to use him more next season.

I would only sign Davis for a $5-7 million per year, 1-2 year contract.

I would trade Diggs if you can get any decent offer for him without too much of a cap hit.

I would draft a WR in the first round & sign a good free agent WR.

  14. I didn’t do the poll because it really does depend on when & where interceptions occur.  It also depends on how the other team does, are there other turnovers, etc.

Here’s interception information for BOTH QBs for this season:

If Josh has no interceptions we are 4-0

If Josh has 1 interception we are 7-4

If Josh has 2 interceptions we are 1-1

If Josh has 3 interceptions we are 0-1

If Mahomes has no interceptions, KC is 6-0

If Mahomes has 1 interception KC is 3-5

If Mahomes has 2 interceptions KC is 2-1

So, overall if Josh throws at least one interception, we are 8-6.

If Mahomes throws at least one interception, KC is 5-6.

    * Mahomes played one less game, sitting out week 18.

As always, treat it like a game. There are not specific rules. You treat this like a penny stock. You can buy while low, you can buy while it's soaring, you can sell while it's high or just dump a bad egg, you can choose a player/unit/group/coach/about anything.

Oh, and hold is just someone you don't want to buy or sell and wouldn't if offered

Buy: Davis. If he plays, he's due.

Sell: Josh's turnovers. First turnover free game in a while?

Hold: ty Johnson. He needs to do more but I'm not sure how much he can.

Didn’t Josh & Buffalo just have a turnover free game on Monday?

    Better surrounding cast?

Allen's always had very good defenses. This is the first year Mahomes has had an above average defense. A few of them were flat bad. Mahomes had better offensive weapons around him his first few years, but that hasn't been the case the last two years.

When thinking about playing KC in the playoffs, how can you say Allen’s always had very good defenses!  Allen led Buffalo to 2 TD drives that put Buffalo in the lead AFTER the 2 minute warning and we still lost the game in OT!

Any kind of defensive stop by Buffalo late in the game & Allen’s performance in that game would be called an all time great playoff performance. The entire perspective of Bills vs Chiefs would be different.

It’s hard to have more negative takes on Buffalo than this guy.  It’s an ignorant take.  No one knows what next season will bring or the season after, etc.  As long as we have Josh Allen at QB & Brandon Beane as GM, we will be a threat to win it all.

Remember this fool’s declaration on Buffalo’s demise 6 weeks ago. He’s not any smarter today.

I still think Tua is an elite franchise QB.

Obviously at some point though he's going to have to win a big game just like Dak Prescott who has also posted silly regular season numbers for years but came up small in the playoffs/big games.

As a Buffalo fan, I hope that Miami fans like this guy & especially the Miami front office keep thinking this way!

  19. The 2 MVPs tonight go to Josh Allen &….Bills Mafia!

Josh was great again in a playoff game. I couldn’t believe he turned on the jets & ran away from the Steelers DBs. Josh played under control and distributed the ball well.

After reading people talk over the last couple days that with the horrible weather and the stands full of snow, we’d have a small crowd & lose a lot of our home field advantage.  How wrong they were! Bills fans showed up in huge numbers, cleaned the snow off their own seats & roared as loud as ever!  Great job Bills mafia!,
