I think so...many in the msm are already referring to this as one of the greatest US debacles ever, so there needs to be an investigation into the decision making that led to...

    -Loss of life

-Arming the Taliban more than they’ve ever been

-Making back door deals with a terrorist group without telling our allies

    -Stranding US citizens

-Giving names of Americans and their addresses, still in Afghanistan, to a terrorist group after there have already been been reports of beatings...and some in the media are referring to this as treason...

That last one…. I just can’t wrap my brain around why that isn’t a much bigger story, everywhere.  This was a great opportunity for many of the media that have lost viewers, to bring them back by reporting this, with integrity.  But I can’t say I’m surprised.

Need to get to 2/3 next November and remove more than just useless Biden:

The United States Constitution (Article I, Section 5, Clause 2) provides that "Each House [of Congress] may determine the Rules of its proceedings, punish its members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two-thirds, expel a member."

If nothing else, the stage is set.  Completely agree.

What would be the grounds for impeachment?

It would fall under the circumstances of the misdemeanor category, I would believe.  There’s quite a bit that can be tied to it.  Again, I’m not advocating it because it sets a bad precedent, but I am firmly in the “he’s now proven himself unfit for office “, party.

  4. Asking for your honest, non-partisan thoughts on the unfortunate events that have transpired.  Just a pre-cursory to the douchary that will be the “it’s all Trump’s fault” trolls, let’s ignore them and keep the focus on the current administration.

My thoughts…. Awful.  Lives lost, fingers pointed and nothing but catastrophes both foreign and domestic.  All in the name of rage politics.  The dangerous game that Washington played leading up to the election is like a wildfire that has now raged itself out of control.  I don’t think there’s anyone I wouldn’t want to see gone at this point.  What say you?

So, what you’re saying is that Trump had connections with “the unions” and purposely made a lowball offer with an agreement in place with Pegula to slightly come over the top of that offer, to secure a victory for Pegula, to keep Bon Jovi out of the bid war?

    Is that what you’re claiming?

So, Trump just did it as a favor to Jim and those he was partnered with, that asked for his help? He didn’t actually want the team.

    In so many words, yes.

  6. 7 minutes ago, Governor said:

    What union?

That allowed Trump to leak it to the unions and the unions to convince Pegula to buy.

Nobody knows which one specifically.  Could be several.  He has ties to several in that area.  It was reported that they reached out to him to get him to invest with them, before he upped the ante.

It sure looks that way, or a friend told him a story and he believed it. I didn’t realize they had fake stories explaining away that fiasco.

I don’t recall if you’re the poster who first gave the “Trump involved in keeping the Bills in Buffalo” but I love this story.  Thanks.

Wasn’t me, but glad to know more people know what happened.  It should be public knowledge, but because Trump supposedly referred to our current owner as a female anatomy he so eloquently says he grabs females by, Pegulas friends have tried to bury it.  But too many people know about that, the NFL breakup and what REALLY happened and how else Bills fans like governor are indebted to the guy they spend good, farming hours, trashing.

Pegula came in and only outbid him by a tiny bit. Trump came in at like 1 billion. Pegula came in at like 1.2 billion.

So you’re saying that my friends, who are plumbers, electricians, HVAC, hard working blue collar guys from NJ are all scammers? You’re saying that they didn’t perform that work?

The cult is strong around here.

That’s not at all what happened. That’s quite a conspiracy you have there.

Follow the timeline, media reports, and then watch Michael Cohen testify to Congress, and you’ll see that you’re totally delusional.

Where on earth did you get that nonsense?

You can’t joke and dismiss your way out of it, it’s 100% fact and the timeline is firmly against you.  So my next question…

    Do you like Jim Kelly?

BJ announces partnership investment with Canadian investment team

Rumors swirled with dollar amount (based off funds transferred publicly in Canada- international dealings are public there).

Small mom and pop local investors pool together to buy (green bay model), but they aren’t able to come close to the minimum RFQ amount or rumored threshold of BJ and co.

Pegula was a consultant only at this time.  Was unable to pull net funds that met the NFL buying criteria.

Trump (with huge ties to Buffalo Unions who would be impacted by a relo), decides to submit, which opens a sealed RFQ.

This pushed the RFQ open for longer allowing the unions time to convince Pegula to move (which he did).

Trump indirectly let’s the union know where Pegula needs to be, 200m more than where he planned to be (which would’ve won BJ the bid.

The polarization of Trumps involvement allows Pegula to work with his company to move around assets almost completely out of line of site.

BJ and co, now aware of Pegula and seeing the ruse, try to get an extension to round up to the number Trump has rumored his bid to be, but are unsuccessful.

Results: Trump lowest, BJ and co 170m behind Pegula, who won the bid.

Now…. Want to know the other way he impacted what’s near and dear to every Buffalo Bills fan, Governor?  Just say the word….

The funny part is that we were all laughing at the guy 30 years ago and he somehow reinvented himself and the rest of the country had no idea who the guy actually is, and has always been. Even today, most voters have no idea who the guy actually is. That’s a cult.

No. That’s not true at all. The city didn’t like Trump or Bob Jovi, Trump put in a worthless lowball bid, and Pegula then can in with a slightly higher bid and pushed your cult leader out.

Later, we found out that his entire bid was propped up by foreign banks and fake numbers, and he was kicked to the curb. Basically, the league stepped in and said no. They let him place a bid but had no intention of letting him win.

You’re 100% wrong on everything you posted.  Trump for all his horrific traits, actually lowballed his bid because he was trying to not allow the Bills go to Canada.  He drove the price up for BJ and his Toronto-based investors, which delayed the RFQ.  That allowed Trump to leak it to the unions and the unions to convince Pegula to buy.  Ask me how I know this….  I’ll take you off ignore long enough to give you 100% truth.  The question is…. Will you learn how wrong you are and admit it?  We’ll see.  Just ask and I’ll share.

Those who get the vax that day, and wear a mask into the stadium, are in the same situation as if they were unvaxxed and wearing a mask.

Big brain logic by the Raiders.

I think it has way more to do with the fact that the U.S. intelligence community became much better at their jobs after 9/11: improvements in immigration vetting processes, stronger communication between different intelligence agencies, and better collaboration with other countries. The widespread adoption of social media since the mid-2000’s has also made terrorist activities more transparent. And no, none of this should be interpreted as any endorsement of Patriot Act mischief!

The specious war theory that “we fight them over there so we don’t have to fight them here” validates all sorts of horrible aggressive acts. The notion that we can just funnel terror like that also doesn’t hold up, for example, when you take our allies into consideration who are not separated from Muslim countries by oceans (see: Syria, mid-2010’s, effects of European migration crisis). Our military presence in Muslim countries like Afghanistan is doing nothing productive for us in the long-term war on terror. It is the primary source of recruitment for radical Islamic terrorism. But even if we immediately evacuated all of our Middle East military bases, our propping up of various dictatorships and monarchies like the House of Saud still fosters extreme discontent among oppressed Muslims.

Sort of my main thesis here: American empire, in whatever manifestation, creates unwanted blowback such as radical Islamic terrorism. My solution: stop all forms of regime change, stop all coups, stop all unilateral embargos and sanctions, no banana republics either, keep emerging Chinese imperialism (they’re doing it in a unique way…with indebtedness through infrastructure projects) in check with multilateral trade deals, stop carrying out ~95% of drone strikes, close down ~75% of all U.S. military bases worldwide for starters, and immediately trim ~33% of the defense budget (which would still be double China’s). Use that money to reinvest in America. Make America the best domestic version of itself and thus the envy of the rest of the world. Spread American ideals abroad by way of example, living as awesome peaceful people and not greedy bullies. Pro-democracy and pro-capitalism revolutions are almost always best carried out by a country’s own citizens. We can inspire and encourage from afar, but their internal will must be there.

Yeah, there’s something very convenient about such a poorly executed troop withdrawal like the one we’re seeing. It showcases the human rights horror potential of the opposing regime in rapid succession. This can generate a humanitarian-themed rallying effect among the American public for returning troops. The military-industrial complex knows that war has become increasingly unpopular with the American people since the mid-2000’s, so maybe this is their new way of perpetuating the racket. Or maybe my tinfoil hat is on too tight. I dunno. I feel like I’m taking CRAZY PILLS. Sociopathic oligarchs don’t think like the rest of us, so I don’t want to put it past them. We do have conclusive evidence that the government has misled us throughout the Afghanistan conflict (see: SIGAR Afghanistan Papers, 2019, Washington Post).

Great points.  There’s definitely some shadiness to the amount of weaponry left behind.  And the human rights turmoil that is coming is just heartbreaking.

Trump released now President of the Taliban Afghanistan in 2018…

Trump ordered the release of 5000 Taliban prisoners in 2020…

  15. Can any of you imagine being such a depressed and troubled person that you would knowingly and continuously spread fake info from a group of know pedophiles, if you felt it furthered your political viewpoint?  What an awful thing for someone to do.  It would take a truly damaged individual to do something so terrible….

  16. Hate something long enough, it consumes you completely, until you become that very hatred.  I feel sincerely bad for the people that are so fixated on Trump that they no longer possess objectivity or reasoning.  He will be their eternal scapegoat, while all that he’s accused of (brash comments, financial concerns, policies, people-shaming, inciting) can easily be seen in the current administration’s actions, with an impartial eye.

Every once in a while, a situation comes along that there truly aren’t two sides to stand on.  There’s just one.  I see it argued here with incredible fascist-like vigor, on the need to mandate vaccines (by so-called opposers of fascism).  In this case however, Afghanistan is absolutely a single-side perspective.  Biden didn’t follow Trumps plan.  He’s on record saying before this, that he wouldn’t.  So only ones prejudices towards Trump would allow them to blame him for Biden’s most current error.

It’s easy to see that some of you, a handful or so, are no longer able to objectively see anything due to the consuming nature of your hatred fixation towards a no-longer sitting President.  And to blame a past President, for the continued and egregious mistakes of a current sitting President, is not just stupid, it’s proof that if you willingly sip from the same crap-filled trough for long enough, you’ll believe it when they tell you it’s yoo-hoo.

President Biden has failed across the board.  It’s undebatable and undeniable to anyone that’s voted for him and beyond.  No need to project yourselves any further.  He’s failed, as has his administration.
