I'm in a bad mental spot. I'm sure many of you are.

What are you doing to get out of it? No sarcastic responses, please.

We can make any excuses we want - the refs, the defense, McDermott, etc. - but the fact is they were so close... again... and same result. It feels pointless to continue as a fan.

Just think back to where you REALISTICALLY thought this team was going to end up before the season started.

It has by far exceed my expectations, so yes while I would have loved for them to win last night, I'm over the moon they got this far.

No. You fire McDermott and see what the next guy brings. Stick with the program (the process? haha) even when it gets frustrating.

I say trade Josh and get draft capital to rebuild the team. He has shown time and again that the "big game" is just too big of a stage for him.

If we are going to propose change for the sake of change, firing you head coach gets you nothing, but trading your starting QB at least gets you a return on your investment.

    Just sayin' 😏

    Allen >>>>> Jackson

    End of thread.

I'm not sure that is 100% true. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I think with all things being equal Jackson is just as good as Allen. Where the difference (for me at least) becomes apparent is when a play breaks down, Jackson panics and has a tendency to make mistakes, whereas Allen has a tendency to more often than not make a play that breaks the opponent's back.

IMHO that is a function of the coaching staff preparing the team to always "expect the unexpected". The Bills always seem to instantly recognize when a play breaks down, and everyone immediately goes into "backyard mode".

The Ravens on the other hand go into panic mode and either try to force the play, or make some ill advised move.

The callers are a self-selecting group. Think about the average Bills fan. Now, think about the type of Bills fan who wakes up in the morning and thinks "I'll call into WGR and complain about a Bills playoff win not being good enough."

Kind of like 70% of the Two Bill's Drive posters????

Why stop there? How about no punts either since the Defense can't hold anyone.

I'll go you one better ... throw a bomb all 4 downs. Gives you a chance of either a completion, or pass interference, effectively DOUBLING your chances of a first down. 🤪

You act like you haven’t heard about Ben Johnson or hell, even Joe Brady.

Actually, I have heard of both of them. How many Super Bowls or conference championships have THEY won????

And what makes you feel they would be more successful than our current coach. Especially Brady. Don't get me wrong, I love what Brady is doing, but many thought he wasn't "ready" to be an OC when he got the job. I'm not convinced he would be ready for HC ... I could be wrong, it's just my opinion.

  9. If I were the king of Two Bills Drive, I would require all posts advocating getting rid of the head coach to start with the paragraph of " I want to replace the head coach with (fill in the coach of your choice) because (said coach) has demonstrated a better handle of (whatever your pet peeve of the moment is).

I've seen too many teams changing coaching staffs like they change their underwear thinking the "next guy" is the answer only to repeat the process every year or two.

Don't identify problems ... provide solutions.

That turns out to be just one of several possibilities, with historians having competing theories backed with evidence. The Beau Fleau naming origin has been contested. And two of the alternative theories do in fact point to Bison as the origin.

One is the native name of a chief that made his home on the Buffalo river was called a Buffalo in their native language.

The other dates back to a supposed miracle during the early French years. During one particularly harsh winter storm, with the company starving, a handful of Frenchmen said their were heading out to hunt Buffalo. They returned quickly with meat for everyone to eat, and all was well and merry! (Though they purportedly lied about the Buffalo meat, and had killed a horse and returned with horse meat).

I didn't think bison were indigenous to the area of the north east in general, and specifically western N. Y.

A dome we can afford.  Temperature controlled???  Are you out of your mind?  Would need Musk to own the team.

They could just raise the price of the PSLs a few grand, and the price of the tickets 20 or 30 bucks ... easy peasy 😉

Are you sure Joe Mixon was good against us with Houston?

Please go back and review his numbers and let me know.

Maybe I am forgetting some memorable runs in our game this year, but since he was injured and out - I am pretty sure he ran for like 0 yards against us.

That is more than Reggie Bush had his entire career with the Bills. It all depends on your point of reference. 😁

Welcome to all lurking Yinzers this week.

I'm curious, Bills fans, what is a Yinzer? (Wrong answers only). Please keep it clean. Let's have some fun at our visitors expense!

    The opposite of a youtzer.

Speaking of in game injuries, the same return could not be said for Gabe Davis. I know it's popular to dunk on him, and I like to think I've been even handed in my criticisms. I don't want anything bad to happen to him (I hope he's not seriously hurt), but ho boy, another Gabe Davis red zone (I think option route) miscue continues to solidify in my mind that the Bills should not be bidders for his services in 2024. Maybe if he casts his net and gets nothing we can take a look, but we desperately need to upgrade WR2 in the offseason.

Interesting you blame the two red zone miscues on Gabe.

By chance could the blame be placed on Josh ... you say yourself that they were "option routes" which pretty much suggests the receiver has the "option" if the coverage has inside leverage at the top of the stem to break the route to the outside and vice-a-versa. Josh has already said that on the first one he did not see the play develop and "flipped a coin in his head as to where Gabe would be" and chose poorly. If you watch last nights play, coverage was clearly outside dictating Gabe break off inside ... could this have been another Josh miscue???

Don't get me wrong I love me some Josh ... but blaming other players for his mistakes is just silly and counter productive.

Now if you want to blame the O-line for the constant pressure up the middle in Josh's face (maybe forcing these types of miscues) I'm 100% in agreement.

The defense let a guy with no experience in the league almost win the game for the Bolts.  The only guy that played really well was Oliver.

Just admit they sucked yesterday and got lucky.  They won’t be that bad every game; I suspect they’ll squish the Fish like Josh always does.  But they sucked yesterday and have too many times this year against inferior competition and that’s why they’re in the position they’re in.

If memory serves me correctly, early in the game the defense forced the Bolts to punt from their 11-yard line twice, and their 20-yard line once, it was the offence that couldn't do anything with those "gifts", as a matter of fact one of those punts resulted in a turnover and gimme Bolts points.

But I DO agree the Bills were lucky to come away with a win.
