  1. Hope you had a big breakfast TGregg, because you’re going to need it. How you gonna go against an army with handgun? I know the judge has great wisdom, so I can only assume he made such a pairing not because he wanted to see an even debate, but because he wanted to see a proverbial curb stomping because TGregg (Who will hereinafter be referred to as PGregg {the P stands for kitty}) is not a worthy adversary. DCTom with the chip firmly panted upon his shoulder, and his pompous condescending nature, might well have been a worthy adversary, (worthier anyway – he’s still a bum) but PGregg? That's not a worthy !@#$ing adversary.

To keep it sporting (at least as sporting as possible given the competition) I was going to let P pick which side he’d rather defend. Knowing he’s a cowardly man (and I’m using the term “man” loosely) I should have known he’d be too timid to take the lead, so I’ll decide. Naturally, PGregg will toe the party line and defend the scourge that Hollywood’s brazen exploitation of sex has brought upon our once pure nation. But it’s clear to all reasonable people that violence in the media is clean wholesome entertainment, while sex is dirty, naughty, and shameful, and is tearing apart the moral fabric of society.

In times of higher national moral character, violence was widely accepted as entertainment. Everything from cowboys and Indians shooting each other to the Road Runner dropping a Coyote off high cliffs while strapped in explosives, was broadcast for children. We all were highly entertained by the just retribution and grew up to live moral and virtuous lives. Then Larry Flynt and his mouth whore lawyer perverted the first amendment on the false pretense that nudie pics are free speech. Next thing you know it’s breasts and ass all over TV, high schoolers are having sex, and children across the country are unwittingly presented with Janet Jackson’s old wrinkled breast! And PGregg and his Hollywood ilk just say “give me more, man. Give me more.” Has the whole world gone crazy? Am I the only one who gives a **** about the children?

I could go on, but I’ll feign mercy and wait for little Greggy to respond before I administer any further ass whooping. Not because I’m showing mercy, but because I want to draw it out and make this slow and painful. Bring the noise, Mother!@#$er!

Apologies for being so late... I would have been here sooner but I've spent the past seven plus months researching. And by researching I mean having as much sex, in as many positions, elevations, and locations as possible. I'm nothing if I'm not thorough. I researched all different kinds of sex, reproducing scenes from every classic sexual movie. I tried conservative sex (missionary, no eye contact or speaking), liberal sex (lots of intense insults and propaganda), to libertarian sex (lots of friction, usually a solo activity). I had sex on film, on tables, in front of an open fridge, at band camp, in Central Park, a coatroom, even the Queen Mary. I had sex with actresses, models, wannabes, producers... the list was as endless as my penicillin prescription.

And I did it all for you.

After all of this exhaustive (and sometimes expensive) research I found myself happier. I found myself more at ease. My blood pressure dropped, my cholesterol plummeted, my doctor said my heart has never been healthier. I even have a six pack now, a real one, just from all the thrusting and exercise I've endured for the sake of this showdown. My skin looks better, my smile is brighter, and my stress has evaporated to the point where I spent the past three weeks smiling (and icing my junk) without ever once looking at my phone or any type of screen. In other words, exposure to sex lead me to watch less of Hollywood's product. I didn't have time! All I could think of was how lucky I am to have a fully functioning penis and a city full of desperate (and attractive) women eager to help my research.

Which brings us to our point. Imitating the sex I've seen on screen has left me satisfied, content, and too tired to go on any sort of violent rampage. I'm more inclined to help a little old lady cross the street than I am to mow down a bus full of nuns with my AR-17. That's a win for the entire community, and a win for sex. Even better, my new found appreciation for sex requires concentration and effort and that limits the amount of time I have to watch Hollywood's products. Less time watching Hollywood junk means more time for me to put my junk to use. Can the same be said for those who watch violent movies or shows?

I think Rob's post above shows us violence in Hollywood leads to a more aggressive posture; a potentially more violent posture. Look at the hostility in nearly every word Rob chose to type. Does he sound like a man who's satisfied by the loving embrace (or even the slutty embrace) of a good woman? Or does he sound like hours and hours of endless violence has left him with a hair trigger and no outlet for his rage? In some ways, it sounds a lot like Islamic Fundamentalists -- barred from sexual congress with women, or alcohol to soothe their manly urges, is it any wonder these fundamentalists often choose a life of violence and suicide bombs? Without sex, violence is all that is left to fill the hole in their hearts. Is that the kind of message we want to impart on our vulnerable youth?

While my health and temperament has improved from watching and imitating the sex I've seen, Rob's has declined. Worse, his obsession with violence leads him to watching more and more violent images to get a release -- meaning he watches more and more of Hollywood's product (greasing the skids and encouraging Hollywood to continue to produce even more drek) -- whereas exposure to sex on film has led me to stop watching as much Hollywood drivel in order to find more P.

PGreg... I like that. Shall wear it with a badge of honor.

So, if your primary goal is to lessen Hollywood's influence on our culture, you should support more sex on screen. More sex on screen leads to more people having sex off screen which leads to less people consuming Hollywood's product.

  2. I'm glad I eliminated you because you are too nice.

How the heck can cows not have sperm? Are they standing too close to the microwave?

    Next round 1 matchup:

    Rob's House vs. TGreg99

Topic: Which aspect of the scourge that is Hollywood has done more damage to our country in the last 30 years.....sex or violence? All aspects of entertainment are included in this debate: Movies, video games, pop music, rap music, pop culture, etc..

Days late to the party (but don't worry, I brought treats) -- but did Rob's first post get deleted? I can't find it in order to respond...

  3. The idea that there are 15,000 fans out there disinclined to attend a Bills' game save for a Tebow signing is absolutely batshit crazy on it's face.

If I were a Bills player and management brought in Tebow, I'd feel as though they were simultaneously throwing the entire team to the wolves and under the bus.

If you don't think there are 15,000 crazy !@#$s out there who worship Tebow enough to buy tickets, then you haven't been paying attention to the Tebow circus. We don't need their kind at the Ralph.

  4. You would assume Tuel would tank, while other may consider it is an investment in the organizations future - the development of yet another asset. This is a staff that has since day 1 preached next man up, and if they are to be consistent, Tuel is the next man up. You are a Bills fan, therefore, a pessimist by nature - retarding Hackett or Marrone is the negative - if the team continues to play well and show movement in the right direction, it will only serve to build their legend. It is without a doubt a QB is necessary, but to play behind Tuel as the next man up. As to recruiting - playing Tuel will have no bearing on the teams ability to recruit for the 2014 season and beyond. EJ, Mario, Eric Wood, ETAL on the other hand, will.

Finishing the year 3-13 behind Tuel will undoubtedly have an impact on the FA decisions in the off season.

If the front office starts Tuel they are admitting failure and (loudly) proclaiming to the rest of the league the front office, with 20 million+ in cap room, cares more about the bottom line than wins and losses. As Bills fans, we already know this is the truth, but we don't need to demonstrate that to the rest of the league.

  5. They sign Tebow and they sell out the next two games. They won't win any of the next 4 games no matter who they bring in. Bengals, @ Dolphins, @ Saints, Chiefs. They are all better than the Bills. Even with EJ they might have won one of those games. Bottom line is they can sell 15,000 tickets with Tebow. How many are they going to sell with Tuel?

Selling 15,000 tickets to people who aren't fans of the Bills, but rather fans of a single player, does nothing to excite me. We don't need those kinds of fans at Bills games, or their belief systems.

  6. My take is that either 1)This team believes EJ will miss more than "a few" games or 2) This really isn't a "rebuilding" year and they think they are good enough to mke the playoffs. Otherwise I do not think they would sign another QB who Marrone thinks has a chance to start this week. JMO. I hope it is the second option.

No rookie coach believes in a rebuilding year. There are no such things as rebuilding years in the NFL anymore -- not for coaching staffs at least. With free agency, a reverse order draft, franchises are able to turn the page faster than ever.

    Just not in Buffalo.

  7. Signing Tebow would be the worst decision this franchise could make. I would rather bring Losman out of retirement. Tuel has a better arm, and that is saying a lot. Also, the last thing you do with a rookie QB who is showing promise, is bring the Tebow circus to town. You don't want to have his disciples calling for him to start after every single EJ incompletion (see: everywhere he has ever been). Get someone who is obviously a caretaker, and give EJ his few weeks, and we still win 7 - 9 games. It's not the end of the world.

    TL;DR: God No!

But, but, but, he won a playoff game!

  8. When the capital letters come out, you know the vitriol is oozing. Did Tebow not sign your Sunday School Noah's Ark coloring book or something?

You're mistaken, the vitriol is not directed at Tebow himself. He can't help the fact he's a terrible teammate and terrible QB for the NFL. The vitriol is directed towards people like yourself who continue to prop up a myth and legend rather than look at the actual facts and on the field play.

Tebow is not the answer for the Bills, nor is he the answer for any NFL team at QB. If he wants to play TE, maybe we can talk. But, he doesn't so we won't.

  9. So you address Kelly the dog like you're speaking to God? Because he agrees with you on Tebow?

Considering his post was about Freeman and didn't mention Tebow, no.

You would address him in the same fashion if you stood next to him at the urinal though... just saying.

You're getting a little carried away. Fact: Tebow has more playoff appearances than anyone on the Bills' offense.

    Awesome.

And Rob Johnson has a super bowl ring.

  10. It's unfortunate that his name is so toxic. It's mindless, IMO, but I guess reason enough to stay away from him.

His name isn't toxic, HE IS. That's the difference.

Lowers the football IQ of the entire board, you say? In that case, I'd like to hear your opinion of this! :w00t:

  He's such a Tuel.

  11. Tebow brings out the crazy. Good grief. Which, I guess, is reason to stay away from him, and that is unfortunate.

He's a terrible thrower. We get it. But he's a tremendous athlete who has a knack for winning.

To beat a dead horse, the kid took the freaking Broncos to the freaking playoffs and beat the freaking Steelers. He's freaking good enough for a couple of freaking games already.

Stop. You're embarrassing yourself even more now. The first sentence is all you need... Tebow is a locker room cancer. END OF STORY.

  12. i know what you mean. But they are 2-3 overall with the Pats* at 4-0 and the Phins at 3-1. And maybe more important, the Bills are 0-2 in the division and 1-3 in the conference. And starting what you think is a capable backup for a game or two is what you do when your #1 goes down, not panic shopping.

Also, if Marrone thought Tuel was a capable backup before, last night should not have changed his mind so quickly.

If Marrone did not think Tuel was an adequate backup that begs the even more disturbing question, why in the world would Marrone and Whaley allow the situation to exist where if their #1 went down they immediately need to go into a panic mode to hire someone off the street.

I agree with your first paragraph in theory. But it's your second paragraph that has the most interesting spin. And it's a valid question -- to me it's not Whaley or Marrone who positioned the roster this way, it's Russ/Ralph/Overdork who are still running this team on the cheap. They pay for 12 spots on the roster and the other 40 they fill with cheap players who are exposed over and over again when forced to step up. It's the same pattern that's been going on for the past decade.

  13. There are a lot of kinds of baggage. I don't happen to know what kind Freeman has. I would find it VERY hard to believe he would be anything but a saint if he came to the bills right now! had a chance to start and play for a few games right away and reestablish his credentials as a starting QB in this league to other teams. There probably aren't any other places he could go in and play right away.

    Amen.

  14. OK, we get it. You don't like Tebow!

Guess what? Neither do I! The guy is capable of managing a certain style of game (that involves little passing) and he has had some success doing that in this league. We are not talking "great idea" here or even "acceptable idea"....we are talking about coming up with best possible bad idea to get us out of **** storm.

I think this is the part you are missing.

And yet, for someone who doesn't like him you continue to defend him. You're wrong. He's garbage, the entire league knows it. He divides every locker room he enters (which is more damning than his terrible mechanics). Calling for Tebow to be signed lowers the Football IQ of the entire board.

    Stop it.

  15. Same here. Much better than Freeman. Carr knows his place in the league. Seems like a good guy. Have never heard anything to the contrary. Freeman appears to have some baggage. What's the point when he'll only serve as a replacement for a few weeks.

Carr doesn't have the arm anymore in my opinion. He's shell shocked from the horrible offensive lines he had to play behind for years. Carr gives you less of a chance of a QB controversy than Freeman, but Freeman gives you a better chance to win. Just my opinion of course.

  16. I'd say the same to you sir. The amount of overly negative, and positive, attention the kid gets is embarrassing. Tebow is a serviceable backup. He's won games. He can run an offense better than Tuel can. He's not our savior, but a decent emergency quarterback. End of story.

No, he's not. If he was a decent emergency QB he'd be on an NFL roster.

    You're embarrassing yourself.

  17. I would consider tebow in this limited context, pending who else is seriously in the discussion. Any to tgreg99---of course tebow is not an nfl qb! Who said he is?

The problem is we don't have one on the team now and won't for 3 or 4 games.

Tebow brings some things to the plate and gives us a better chance than teul for example.

It's kind of a no win situation ,isn't it?

There is a reason these guys in the conversation are NFL castoffs!!!!!

    No. You're wrong. 100%.

Tebow can't play the position AND brings incredible baggage and is a locker room cancer. If you want to destroy the burgeoning chemistry on this team, Tebow is your man. If you care about the Bills being a competent team in the future, you keep Tebow far far far away from OBD.

  18. I feel the same way. EJ was to learn to get out of bound and save not only himself but keep the team in the mix. If he steps out of bounds we win the game , im sure of it.

Now he is out a few weeks. any hope for the playofs is out the window.

That what I'm mad about, with EJ we have a chance to win every game, without him we are toast.

... Which is a direct reflection on how piss poor the front office continues to manage this franchise. Cheap is cheap.

  19. I'll probably get tarred and feathered for this but ... If they don't see someone they *really* like (i.e not a stop gap) maybe they let Tuel start until Manuel gets back. I have to assume they liked Tuel as a backup before last night. Kicking him to the curb after a bad road game coming in cold and with probably damn few first team reps in weeks seems like an overreaction. Realistically the Bills were probably not making the playoffs this season with or without Manuel. Why not let Tuel start at this point with proper preparation and see what he has. If he sucks, then they know they need a backup QB this off season. If he becomes adequate they can rest easier in the future. What is the point of bring in a stop-gap QB now?

Because at 2-3 you can't throw the towel in on the season.... especially with the AFC East as wide open as it's been in over a decade.

The squad needs to sign Tebow ASAP. Freeman won't come here, because he knows he'd be a backup.

    Stop. You're embarrassing yourself.
