I think it was McDermott. He was pissed that Dorsey refused to call running plays against that poor Broncos run defense. Someone said that it looked like McDermott was calling the offensive plays on the Bills TD drive at the end. If so, then Dorsey was basically fired mid-game.

That was the most running plays I ever seen the Bills run in a row in years!! Somebody else was definitely calling the plays

It amazes me how many fans just don't grasp this.

Fans just being emotional. You don’t fire a guy that has 4 straight double digit win seasons and 3 division titles and fire him after one bad season lol. Very bad way to run your organization.

So let me get this straight, everyone wants to fire the coach that has taken us to the playoffs 5 out of 6 years and won the division 3 years in a row all because we are 5 - 5 just over the halfway mark this year (who has a .639 winning %).

I believe McDermott is a victim of his own success as Bills fans now expect so much more. Late 90's, 00's and 10's fans be like D amn you be upset because of what now !!!

    Holly recency bias Batman!

It’s really ridiculous when you think about it lol.

  3. Well for one..McDermott will be back. That’s a certainty. His seat maybe a lil warmer but it’s not hot. 4 straight double digit win seasons. 3 division titles in 4 years. They not firing him.

These next 7 games will us tell what we need to know. They fired Ken Dorsey at the right time because now there is going to be a decent amount of a sample size to see if Joe Brady is the guy for the job. If he is..the Bills could possibly still make the playoffs. If the offense still struggles..there will be an extensive search for a new OC. I’m good with McDermott still running the defense. The defense despite all the injuries is still playing some good football and keeping us in these games.

If I'm Terry "I" interview and hire the next OC or have an advisor do it...not McDermott.

McDermott will hire someone non threatening, I want the best hire that can right Allen and the offensive side of the ball.  If he csn replace McDermott then so be it.

I also tell Sean, keep your damn hands off that side of the ball.  Also, hire a DC and let him run his own defense, not your big nickle.  You want to be the HC then thats your job

Terry don’t know ***** about ball. He put McDermott in charge of all football related things. Terry just the guy with the check book. When they hired McDermott he was one leading the GM search. Sean is the one calling all the shots for the organization

As some of you know, I have defended Ken Dorsey . . . and for good reason.

Dorsey Did Not Deserve to Get Fired

Yes, I know. I am a salmon swimming upstream with many of you guys and the whingers on WGR.

McCoach decided to throw Dorsey to the lions to deflect from his own issues (as has been his habit since arriving).

I have a feeling McCoach is going to be eaten by the same lions. What goes around, comes around.

They not going to fire him. He’s had 4 straight double digit win seasons. 3 division titles in 4 years. Too much success to just throw down the drain because of one bad season. He’s definitely going to get his opportunity to right the ship. Getting rid of Dorsey was the right move. Now Joe Brady will have 7 games to audition for the job. If they find success…he’ll keep the job. If not, they will hire an experienced OC.

  6. 7 games left. 5-5. If they finish 6-1 down the stretch they will make it. They could still get in at 10-7 but they would need help as far as tie breakers. If Miami can lose a couple games down the road that would help us too.

They can’t lose more than 2 games the rest of the way.

Dorsey should have been let go 3 games ago.  McDermott needs to go.  It's unexcusable that he let this 💩 show go on this long.  Add in :13 seconds, the way this team came out flat for a HOME playoff game and not to mention the way he likes to just use timeouts like he has 20 of them.  Sean McDermott doesn't deserve to be the Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills in 2024.

McDermott is out there competing with a duct tape defense and his defense is still keeping us in these games. 17 is playing like crap. The offense is the bigger issue. Not McDermott.

For the small minority that still believes McD should be the head coach here next year....I'd love to know your reason for this without citing the previous 17 years before he came here or the lucky 4th down TD by the Bengals that sent the Bills to the playoffs in 2017.

62% career winning percentage, 3 Division titles in 4 years. 4 straight double digit win seasons. Only one losing season and that was a rebuild year with a new QB, Defense has consistently been a top ten 10 unit.

  9. Doesn’t matter what we want. 0% chance he’s getting fired. McDermott is the guy calling the shots in Buffalo. Whatever McDermott wants, he’s going to get. You could tell after McDermott presser last night that changes were going to be made.

If you guys remember when they hired McDermott. They hired him before they hired the GM which was unheard of at the time. McDermott led the GM search. Everything starts with him. Terry has given him the keys. The success the Bills have had in his tenure. He’ll get his opportunity to right the ship.

  10. Cold hard truth I learned this season. Josh Allen is overrated. Yes, I said it!! Overrated!! He’s the reason the offense has been struggling and we all need to stop pretending that it’s not. When he’s on his A game. He looks like one of the best QB’s in the league. Problem is the constant mistakes he makes every game, prevents him from being that guy.

The trust level I have in Josh Allen is all but gone. You simply can’t count on him to be consistent game in and game out and that really hurts to say.

Guys hate to say this but Allen isn’t the QB we thought he was. Still making dumb mother fing decisions!!! Should have had another int in the first quarter!! Dude is not good!!

JA is good but he’s definitely not on the level of Mahomes or Burrow. I’d throw Jalen Hurts in there as well. He’s just not consistent enough and turns the ball over way too much.    It’s sucks because when he on his A game he looks like one of the top guys in the league. But he has too many games that look like tonight. You never want to go into a game asking yourself whether good Josh or bad Josh is going to show up.

Prior to the 3rd down conversion we had what was probably our most effective blitz of the season. With the field position if we get a sack (which we did) it would take them out of field goal range. On the next play you have to assume Wilson would be ready for instant pressure if we showed that look. Even 5-10 yards is FG range and by blitzing you either get home or you leave holes everywhere. I really felt like we would show it and back off. It seemed like the perfect trap for Wilson. Yet we doubled down and you saw the result.

This was even more frustrating to me than 12 men on the field. It was the wrong call. If they're in FG range I get it. But if you ever decide to play coverage, that is the spot. Give them 5 yards and make them ponder a 50 yarder or so or go for it on 4th. Demoralizing call by Sean.

I didn’t have a problem with the decision. It’s 3rd down and they were out of field goal range. Send the blitz and make the QB make a quick decision. You play soft coverage and Russ completes a 5-10 yard pass they right back in field goal range.

Taron Johnson has to win his 1 on 1.

  13. Daboll leaving was the worse thing to happen to Josh. Daboll was the only coach that would rip into Josh Allen when he would make stupid mistakes. Now the OC is in the booth. McDermott isn’t the firey get in your face type of coach so there’s nobody on the sideline holding Josh accountable.

I never see him gathering up the offense on the sideline trying to get the guys going. He just sits there with his cap on. I don’t like his energy at all this year.

  14. Dorsey called a good game today. I’m tired of letting Josh Allen off the hook. I like the kid but he’s overrated. If you go into a game wondering if Bad Josh or Good Josh is going to show up you have a problem.

He makes too many damn mistakes and I’m tired of it. No accountability on the sideline. Doesn’t try to get guys going when he’s on the bench. Just sits there with a dazed look on his face. I’m over it. But unfortunately we stuck with him. So Dorsey will take the fall.
