part of the reason is the way the defense plays allen. they set the edge to contain his scrambling and thus running screens becomes a chance for pick sixes

then why is KC the one of the best screen play offenses in nfl history?

Mahomes is just as dangerous as Allen with his legs. We don't do well with screens bc Daboll is a mediocre OC

This Pandemic is no doubt very serious, but at the same time we have to get back to normal at some point. You pick the time, but I will gladly go to the opener in September. At some point we need to let go and say it is what it is. After all, in Nature, only the strong survive. That is after all the whole point of natures viruses.....We think we are above nature, but clearly we are not.

its not about getting "back to normal"

if we get back to normal too quickly the hospital system in every major metro area will collapse.

No one knows nuthin bout nuthin and these doom and gloom articles are nonsense at this point.  It's kinda like running presidential polls in February when the election is in November.

Sports will return and this will pass.  I cannot imagine the rabid NFL fans sitting idly by and not being able to tailgate.  That will not go over well.

I still remember tailgating in the fall of 2009 amid the H1N1 virus.  People were scared but out and about.

    imagine comparing COVID to H1N1

this virus is 10x more deadlier and about 4x more contagious. no one is going to give a flying ***** about "rabid NFL fans" if we get a 2nd wave around october like everyone is predeciting.

Fans need to realize the NFL season won't be starting in September this year, or won't be starting until 2021.

  4. He needs to work on his pre snap reads and blitz pickups just as much as his deep ball.

Allen is the worst QB in  the league when blitzed and that needs to change

The throw to Knox in NE proved to me that he can easily do this.

It's year 3 for him and hopefully the "do it all himself" moniker is out of his system.

the reason he has the "do it himself" stigma bc Allen very much does most things himself.

last year our talent and skill level on offense was mediocre at best. Allen was severely let down by his offense in the wild card game. Brown, Duke and Beasley all had poor games and his oline completely collapsed towards the end of the game. not to mentioned the missed block that would have won the game for us on the QB run.

We're not going to be excited about anyone we pick at 54. The top 3 RBs will be gone by then and it's hard to find a WR in that range that fills a need. We don't really have any major needs except for RB. With that in mind I'm not going to hate any pick at 54. Unless it's a RB anyone we pick there will likely not be a starter this year. So if it's Dugger, sure. I trust McDermott with DBs. The only reason I would hate that is if someone like Shenault or Taylor ended up dropping and we still didn't take them but that's pretty unlikely.

there is a very high chance a top graded WR will fall to us so this is totally false

  6. We have to take advantage. I think WR at pick 2 is almost a must if a top prospect is there. And there is a very very good chance a 1st round rated guy will drop to us.

John Brown is 30, Cole Beasley is turning 31. We need a young WR here that can be our future and can learn under the vets while they are still here. Not to mention this offense really still needs more skill players. adding Diggs is huge but won't be enough to get us where we need to be on offense next season.

people talking about drafting a DB or LB, what is gonna happen if our offense fails to score over 2 TD's per game again next season. Our defense was top 3 last season, as long as we are in the top 10 we will be fine. We arguably have the best secondary in the NFL, drafting a rookie CB won't improve us all that much on defense.

If he can improve against the blitz, he could feast. He was the most blitzed QB in the league last year in empty sets, because DC's know that's where he struggles the most. They know he loves the big play and will hang onto the ball. I'm sure this will be his biggest focus this offseason. He's got to get more automatic at processing the blitz and taking what's there. If he does that and gets rid of those WTF plays and he's a dangerous man, capable of some filthy things.

this is where we need to kill teams with the screen game and Singletary.

  8. my biggest takeaway

why the hell did Allen throw the ball 46 times, in his first playoff game. Daboll totally abandoned the run and it ended up costing us.

also our WR's let us down massively, John brown makes that catch at the 3 yard line and we score a td its game over.

  9. I think a lot of bills fans are forgetting how terrible Daboll was last season

he was a big reason why our offense was so bad. He constantly put Allen in terrible positions, forcing him to throw 49 times in his first playoff game on the road for example.

he has to also make a massive jump and become a much better play caller

  10. There were times last year where our oline completely collapsed towards the end of games. Ravens, Patriots, and wild card vs Texans games all had mediocre oline play, and were some of our biggest games of the season. Against the Eagles as well, their dline completely owned the LOS.

Not to mention the countless pre snap penalties and boneheaded mistakes the oline guys make. Beane hasn't addressed the position yet so I'm wondering what our plan is next year. It is so vital for Allen to have a top notch oline, can't stress it enough. He took some very nasty hits last season that I had no idea how he walked away clean from. I'm still not convinced with either of our tackles. I truly think we need a franchise LT here long term.

  11. Gordon has only played a full 16 games once and only went over 1k once. we still don't know how injury prone Singletary is.

no thanks. I'd rather draft someone with the 2nd pick.

If the money is the same between him and Gordon (and assuming it's a 1-2 year deal which is what I expect both of them to eventually sign), I would prefer we sign Gurley.

    its a no brainer lol

Gurley when healthy is a top 3. RB in the league, arguably #1. Gordon isn't even top 10

Two biggest "holes" to me are another quality RB and DB.

I think the pick is going to be a corner.

Norman is on a one year deal. So he is either a bust or he plays really well and prices himself out of here next year.

But if hes a bust we dont have a ton behind him. Levi has been ok to good but we know that McDermott values corners big time.

I'd love for our 2nd to be a talented RB to push or even be better than Singletary but I really think we go corner.

how many times did we score over 20 points per game last season? Our offense needs more playmakers. the defense is fine as it is.

We need another WR and a RB2, not to mention help all over the oline

Benjamin Albright said something similar, that we scouted WRs that would be available with our first pick and didn't feel entirely on board with any of them. Diggs was a sure thing. Plus with OTAs and possibly training camp being delayed the rookie learning curve will be steeper than ever. I imagine that played into it.

tbh a lot of these WR's could be available in the 2nd round, thats how deep the class is this year.

Shenault, Pittman, and even Higgens could fall into our lap
