I was watching football on a Sunday on NBC in the late 80's in Rochester. The Bills were the late, 4 PM game. The first game ran late, and NBC there was not allowed to switch to the start of the Bills game, since Rochester is considered a secondary market. In Buffalo, NBC switched. I was furious.

CBS and Fox do cross-flex games sometimes and carry a game from the other conference. Also, NBC in my area is showing LA Rams at SF this Saturday, in addition to NFL Network.

If you leave at 8 or 8:30 AM you will be fine then. No need to get up at 4.

Put down the drugs now. There is no way we see New England-Buffalo on opening Sunday night. Small-markets teams with little national following do not get that time slot on opening week.

All west coast games are in that time slot. You cannot have west coast games in the 1 PM slot.
