Please don't let our game tomorrow be the only "good" game for the general public lol.  One of these games this weekend has to be competitive all game...don't be ours!

That’s what i was thinking - the NFL is going to lose viewership on this game(Jags-Bolts), does that mean they overcorrect and it adversely impacts ours?

a missed call here and extra call there to keep it close?

It depends in what context we are talking, are we talking about whether they are likeable in or whether they are good players?

yeah they are both guys with massive egos brady and rogers but they've won consistently. I don't like them much but doing what they do has worked for them. Having a chip on their shoulder has made all of them better I would argue.

I saw it somewhere where Allen said something like 6 teams rejected me and it drives me on.

No argument that Allen is a more likeable guy than the other two, he doesn't lose his temper with teammates on the sideline and doesnt think he is the best player on the team. He still has a moxy and swagg though

Performance and behavior are two different things in my mind but if you’re coming from a “they are good so they can say whatever they want” then you’re right in your assessment.

I’m in the “act like you've been there before or let your product on the field speak for itself” camp; and certianly believe neither Brady nor Rogers need any further motivation beyond just trying to be the best so saying “y’all passed me up and I’m going to make you eat it” just tarnishes the medals for me.  You dont have to go out of your way to be likeable but just being a good and decent person is appreciated more, and genuine humility isn’t a weakness, especially if you have talent oozing from your pores and you REALLY are that good.

and if Josh did say about his draft position that then i put him in that same category, I’d back him on the doubters, Nick, Skip, etc. but teams draft individuals for reasons other than “you could be good”.

sportsmanship is in danger of becoming extinct, hopefully it regains form at some point; but then maybe we need villains like BB and Brady to balance the “nice guys”; it certianly entertains my time and maybe that’s the point.

Tom Brady, Josh Allen and Rogers have said the same about teams passing on them and being pissed

2 out of 3 monumental douchebags so maybe you’re proving the point vs an arguement?

BTW - not sure I’ve ever seen Josh specifically mention his draft position, who was taken before him vs just “i am doubted and I’m going to use it as motivation and prove them wrong”

  4. I can’t say I’ll show an ounce of concern if there’s any injuries on the Titan side from a lack of “contact shape’ the last couple of weeks but there’s been some decisions/actions taken that have exasperated the issue and the players still react with ignorance.

what I don’t like is Byard’s “I’m taking names” comment, exudes arrogance and makes me think this could get dirty, hope the refs are frosty.

  5. He looked lost vs the Pats also and I’m not so sure it wasn’t the brilliance of BB more than the system wasn’t humming along.

people comment on his improvisionational   Skills when what I see is rhythm and he’s finding his 2nd, 3rd option.

I’m not calling him a system QB but his receivers aren’t coming back to the hot read fast enough and when the system breaks down he appears human and his mechanics falter in the anxiety.

will be interesting what McFraiser does and if we see deja vu.

  6. I don't want a forfeit for various reasons - the biggest one being i know we win - with the current state of the team and about 70% confident if the Titans were at full strength (excluding current non-covid injuries).

make them frankenstein a team; all current COVID listees and those that have been in contact since the facility closure are out.  if they have to have the punter on the OL so be it.  let Buffalo go in there and take their frustrations out on them, drop a 50 burger, just run up the score just thoroughly embarrass them.

they know who's been clean for the last 10 days by their consistent negative tests, they have proximity data, the non-sanctioned player gatherings? those players are out.

make them put whatever they can muster on the field ensuring a high confidence safe zone and let the Bills play a 1st game preseason team and just have their way.

after that punish them to the level of stupidity, belligerence and arrogance they've exuded the last 3 weeks in the form of draft picks (multiple years, make this sting), fines, coaching suspensions, anything... just anything.

    Brady pick 6 lol

i know he's ultra competitive but how long before he just sits back and says "i get paid $30mm to suck, what about you?"

then how long before the Pats*** "mystique" comes out on what they were doing all those years?  or do they write it off as "he's old"?

Fromm is the quarantine QB so he’s never at practice

so thinking through this...  the Bills do this in anticipation if one of our QB's were to test positive we would be forced into playing a game bringin Fromm in as the backup?

in the case of the Titans; did they get the "pass" because they had more than 1 on the active roster test positive?

what determines "you must play" vs "too many impacted we'll move your next game out"?

and if there is a threshold, what keeps the team 'honest'?  let's just say the Titans lost 2 but reported 8 to avoid being forced into a game shorthanded?

lastly  - i've heard the mentioning of "forfeit" is that an actual documented reality or just an assumption that might happen?

mods - i know this isn't raiders related so if i'm going out of bounds here i'll delete this, but they are honest questions.

Manual Fantasy football sounds like a pain in the ass. I know a lot of people who do in person live drafts and they seem like a lot of fun. However doing manual score tabulations sounds like a lot of work. You are probably going to be hurting for a RB all season if you didn't take one until round 7 unless you hit on someone late. When I first started playing fantasy I drafted a RB round 1 and then went to try and get a bunch of sleepers in rounds 6-9 thinking that my RB drafted in round 1 would be my anchor and then I could build up the rest of the roster in rounds 2-6 and then all I needed to do was find 1 RB in those late rounds and I would be set.

Well my first round stud RB (Jamal Charles) got hurt in week 1 and none of my "sleepers" came through and even though my WR's, TE and QB taken in rounds 2-6 were solid it wasn't enough to make up for the lack of RB production. Since then my strategy is to always go 2 out of my first three picks at RB. Secure the RB position early and use on pick to get a stud WR to anchor the WR position.

I figure even if one of your two top RB's gets hurt or busts you will likely at least get the other one to be a top 10-12 RB. I then draft WR's in rounds 4-5 and go RB again in round 6-7 to try and get some depth. I pretty much avoid drafting anything other than a WR or RB in rounds 1-6 unless the value at the picks really isn't there (last year I drafted Mahomes in round 3 because none of the receivers I wanted were there.)

I'm old fashioned like that, i enjoyed the engagement aspect of old style FFL, although i've never been a commish (dont want to) but i believe back then we still had software for managing scoring, although scoring was much more simpler back then, i believe it was called NFL commissioner, i'm too lazy to look it up.

and 100% agree, huge gamble to take an RB so late but since i was half in, i thought i'd make myself a challenge.  I grabbed Michael Thomas, Lamar and Amari first 3 and Kittle in r5.  Bell in r7 with Singletary in r10 (focused on pass catching rb's); Lindsey and Gibson are stashed on my bench and i grabbed Fournette 2nd to last round.

i suspect the league is a bunch of casual players as i was awarded a top grade but as you said, based on injuries can change everything and I may need to stay more active than i should.

Taking a defense in round 6 is insane haha loving the homer pick but that is a huge reach.

ironic - i took the Bills D in r6.  but then again i broke a number of rules; didn't select a RB till r7, WR r1, TE r4, etc.

i wasn't going to do FFL this year but my 2 buddies (a fins and jets fan) talked me into a knee-jerk NFL.com PPR PUG draft and I decided to go against the grain and see what happens.

i was doing FFL ~30 years ago, we'd all meet in a bar my buddy owned on a saturday morning do our draft all in person with a board, we'd write our picks on paper and submit them and they were announced with all the banter and crap-talk.  we then left our lineup on voicemail before 11:30am CST each sunday.

    those were the days...
