I take an athlete over a limited guy at a position of strength with existing depth. Whether that a WR or developmental piece elsewhere.
If we have Hyde, poyer, neal, Alexander.... this guy will struggle to make the 53 yet alone 45... before we call him a special teamer he has to dress- how many safeties are you giving jerseys to on Sunday?
I have to trust that Beane and Mcdermott are selecting players on their board to fill various roles. Whether they blossom to starters will be determined. We never know. How the heck to we really know at this stage? Things happen.

Mira not 1992 anymore. Grab two top notch kickers (I’m fine paying for them!) and don’t fumble returns or allow blocked kicks and you are a solid special teams. No ones winning games with returns or coverage.
Well. I take Johnson over an inflated "WR" at this point. Lets see what happens.

I know...lets see what happens after training camp. For all we know, Johnson may really develop.

I forgot, special teams win championships.
A vital part of the "process" Just ask Steve Tasker and Mark Pike!

Awesome athelete that at the very least can contribute on specials teams and in nickle coverage very quickly. This looks like a solid move for a 6th round pick.
Special teams are a vital part of a team! People tend to forget that.

The big question will be how coachable he is.
With his talent and potential...I hope he responds well! Looks like a fast and disruptive player! No reason he cannot be coached out of his "ugly" traits...part of the "process"

I like Joseph. This kid is a diamond in the rough...another steal and active type player that we need!

This kid will get some playing time early. Much better choice than WR that would be buried down the depth chart
Also, Beane did not inquire about Ziggy Ansah and Frank Clark by accident.

See what happens is, it was once the in thing to mock Buffalo regardless... now it's not the in thing to do anymore. Yet, guys like Benoit are still trying to rag on the Bills. Exposing that he either knows zero about football or is just trying to rag on the Bills like a clown.
Thank you. Anyone that has lived and worked in this community knows about the quality of life and the people. I have followed the Bills since OJ, and I lived through the four SB's! That was a great time to be a Bill's fan! We expected to win every Sunday. But guys like this, a shallow and misinformed pundit just throwing something together to complete a column! This time of year, everyone is an "expert" on the Bills. I love the Bills, we are getting close. It is fun to sit back and read all of these opinions! Kind of like people watching!

I hope they don't!

I am defensive minded...but I love this one...no pushing this guy around! Now go get Zach Allen!

Excellent...matches up well against Q.Williams!

Thank you...may I have another!

The man is obviously not well...
-
Perhaps no trade involved with these two. Dalton Risner and Zach Allen...finishing touches!

Quick question. I notice that in some media, the position which once was referred to as “Defensive End” is now called “Edge Rusher” or sometimes “Edge.”
When did this happen and why?
Just another cute term. Like "generational" or my favorite: "Transcendent"

The defense ISNT EVEN BROKEN lol.....it was a top 10 NFL defense last season.....Oliver might get it to 5
Would not have a problem if every single pick from here on out was offense......
Oliver will be fine. Now some more help on the edge. Let's see what the Bills do. So many good players left on both sides of the ball.

The Bills scheme will have Oliver attacking the gaps with plenty of added twists and stunts to take advantage of his bend, ability to shed blocks, and speed.
Our d-line has too many guys on it now who tend to get tangled up with blockers struggling on the wrong side of the LOS. The main reason RBs were hitting our 2nd level LBs and safeties with a full head of steam.
We need players that can be disruptive on the other side of the LOS. Oliver and a few other DTs that went early last night fit the bill.
We need to get another disruptive player on the D. I see Winovich, Z.Allen as possibilities.
