San Francisco is just us but with a defense that forces turnovers

Man would it be nice to have an elite receiver

I just watched the last kick again....and I don't think he even kicked it long enough. Not too clear by the angle but it looks like it bounced in the back of the endzone. Not great
-
He is 0 for 5 on his last 5 attempts at 50 yards or greater, good for the worst streak in the NFL. That is a MAJOR problem. You need to be able to have a kicker that gets you some points from long distance.

8 rushing attempts against the 30th ranked D against the run, and 41 pass attempts against the 4th ranked D against the pass. Daboll needs to go

I refuse to grade him at all when we have Andre frickin Roberts in at WR for half the game as he drops a very catchable 30 yard pass. We just don't have any truly dynamic playmakers who make catches they aren't supposed to. Beane has alot of work to do

These are the threads that make me crazy. Why on earth are we nit-picking every single throw of the day? People are really dropping him a whole "grade" for missing a single throw? News flash...no NFL qb is perfect. Allen played well. Move on.

And there is what having a #1 wide receiver gets you. Whens the last time a Buffalo WR made a catch like that?

I quite honestly don't give a flying f about what the strength of schedule and analytics say...we're 5-1... enjoy it. It feels like people would rather be 3-3 but have the metrics say that we're a solid team. I dont get it

You can't do that unless said missed FG is the very last play of the game (they weren't). When one play in the game is different, it's a different game. Coaches coach differently from then on, players play with greater or lesser intensity, different plays get called.
As I said in the OP, as well proclaim that if it weren't for a single play miscue - a blocked punt returned for a 7 point TD, we beat the Pats. Why not? We lost by 6, that would be 7 points. Do you think that would be a reasonable "take"? I think most people wouldn't.
And why are we ccompletely ignoring the kicking game? Last time I checked, kickers are part of the team. Saying we're not good because other teams have a bad kicker is crazy. Tough crap for them, thankfully our TEAM has a good kicker.

Miami had the ball for almost 34 minutes. We had two real possessions in the 2nd half.... two.
One was a 98 yard drive. The other was a short field.
The third drive was 3 runs to make the Dolphins use all their timeouts.
Yep. If Allen got another shot at a real drive, these stats are probably padded even more.

Most teams stopped throwing after they got a 21 point lead.
Brady Prescott and Rivers all had more pass attempts than Allen

Just to give some context. It baffles me that some people are upset at how Josh played. Do these numbers really seem like QBs have been absolutely lighting up Miami's D? Besides Jackson, these seem pretty comparable. Not to mention some runs Allen had. I don't see anyone criticizing Dak for his worse rating against Miami. People here would explode if Allen threw a pick this game like Dak did

Its one play. Everyone needs to relax. Being this invested in every single play is why many people will never be satisfied with Allen. I can pull up a bad throw/miscommunication from every single quarterback this week. It happens to everyone.

We want the Steelers to win here right? Keeps both teams at mediocre records

Wow. Hill. Now THAT is why you need a true #1 recieving threat. No one on the Bills makes that play. Unreal

Not sure what else Allen could have done to generate more points today. He hit almost all of his throws. We have a non-existent run game for most of the game. The Titans just had great D and didn't leave anyone open down field. Some people will just never be pleased. 4-1!!

Allen's dad is in Nashville right now (per multiple twitter videos) so I'd take that as a great sign he's playing

I think he'll play. You don't sprint around practice for no reason if you have a bad concussion.
-
If you lose faith after 1 bad game, then you probably didn't have faith to begin with. Josh had improved in almost every way before this game. Its the NFL, bad games happen. Do you think Patriots fans have lost faith in Brady after his awful performance? Nope. And to say he was the sole reason we lost is dumb. We just forgetting about the blocked punt? We win the game if that doesn't happen

4 game winning drives in 12 starts (should be 5 with the Clay drop) has got to be up there near the top, right? I'd love to see stats on that. Allen is clutch!

Lets not forget Allen's running. He is such a weapon in the red zone, always a threat to run it in. I can't remember too many times where he's rolled out close to the end zone and didn't score
-
Baker Mayfield went 10 for 26 with an INT last night. I don't see anyone criticizing him and saying he's awful. Its PRESEASON. Relax everyone.

I happen to enjoy Murph, when I have to listen on the radio I like the announcers to be lively and in to it. Maybe im in the minority. But Wood seems very level headed and calm/cool so it could be a good balance
-
If nothing else, Josh was always good for at least 1 or 2 jaw dropping plays a game. So I'm pumped to see what he can show with more experience and a better team. It could be electric!
