I cant wait to see the day he is broke and homeless.

I dont ever "cheer/root" for that..but that said I will 100% NOT FEEL SORRY for him if that happens either.  When people do stupid things and reap the rewards of stupidity...I almost never feel bad for them if its sports, people wrestling with bears, handling snakes, jumping into lion pits, swimming with sharks..when something inevitably goes wrong...its really hard to feel bad for them..

    So is Singletary's.

They were both  ROOKIES and they didnt have a lot of work or experience...aka they can work to get better.....look at the effect BOTH players actually had though....Yes they both had drops but Singletary wasnt used a lot as a pass catcher....Knox was a "raw" talent same deal......he just didnt have a lot of catches/time at TE being a pass catcher...Im betting since they both showed they can catch it with work they both get better....id be more concerned if they had brought in a guy that had 4-7 years in the league and then they had that kind of % drops....but as a Rookie and neither saw a ton of work pass catching...I guess its not surprising...

And think on this  Knox for ROOKIE TE was

    5th in receptions at 28

2nd in the entire NFL for rookies in yards behind only Fant at  388

    4th in average per reception

    4th in yards per game

2nd in longest TD catch again only behind Fant at 49yds

    tied for 4th in TD's

and 4th in first down % among TE with over 20 receptions

Knox was a 3rd rounder..the guys he is going up against for those stats are all what I believe first or 2nd rounders...... and both Fant and Hockenson got a lot more looks in the receiving game college wise so they were more accomplished pass catchers coming out....I guess you could ask......would you rather spend a first rounder on Fant or a 3rd on Knox then wait for about 3-4 years and see what u have...im thinking positional drafting wise 1st vs 3rd Bills will win this one..

I agree.  Which is why Devin Hester should be a first ballot HOFer.

I dont know about first ballot..and id also have to see where he ranked among the all time greats(returners) and if he was the best ever....and i remember him being a great one..then at some point I could see it..that said...I havent really researched him or returners..and many actually were awesome at other positions to boot(like Deion)..im also not saying that Tasker should have been a first ballot guy...but he should be in....IMO ANY time you could argue that someone in a phase of the game was "the best in history/ever" at doing that..they should be considered(and eventually be in) IMO..

and its not like we are talking say from 1975 till now we would be adding 50 more guys....we are literally talking about over a span of 40-45 years adding maybe 3-5 more into the hall...or about 1 a DECADE.....I dont think 1 guy extra a DECADE would put a bad light or impugn the integrity of the HOF...especially when you can say yes but this guy may have been a punter or kicker or ST guys....BUT he was the best or among the best of ALL TIME.

I felt like after a punter got voted in that would’ve opened the door for Tasker getting in.

If he doesnt belong in QUIT calling ST a "phase of the game" I think the best player ever at the ST  phase should be in I have no issue with that...I dont think guys that were meerly ok at ST should be in it would have to be best of the best ever and in that I believe Tasker qualifies...In all my years of watching NFL only one other guy comes to mind since the 70's(thats how long ive been watching) and that was years ago Bill bates....and should Punters and kickers be in..sure..IF they were the best of the best EVER at the position....

Either put in the best of the best at ALL positions or QUIT saying the HOF honors the best at ALL positions...straight out  say the HOF is for the best players ever other than Punters,Kickers and ST they dont count or matter.....now again that said...since the 70's how many guys would to ME that add to the HOF...about 3-4 since 1976ish 3-4 extras thats about it....would it be so horrible to have 3-4 more guys in the HOF that were among the best ever at their positions? over a 40 year span....thats about 1 extra guy every 10 years

one extra guy a DECADE would tarnish or ruin the HOF???   I mean we are talking Punters the caliber of Ray Guy...I havent seen one since id put into the HOF.....ST guys like Tasker and or bates...same deal...there are a lot of decent to very good ones..but other than those 2 I cant think of any id put in....Kickers same deal they need to be "special" have won big games or had such good statistical careers or be doing things other kickers could do at that time won SB/playoffs/big games... we are talking guys like Morten Anderson and probably the old patriots kicker gets in im betting

And same deal with ST IMO...there should be 1-2 guys in Tasker being one if not the only one..

Why couldn't Daboll have been allowed to interview for the position?  Good way to get rid of his bearded bowling ball head without having to fire him.

because some actually value him OR he wouldnt be getting looked at for HC or other OC jobs.....and think on this.....who would you trust more to know a decent coach from a poor one...other guys IN NFL football OR some fan that just has a axe to grind because he didnt like this or that??

They didnt specifically draft him to play RT

They said he would "Start out at" RT

I know..I wish they would just call it a day and get him WORKING/INTO his more natural slot at G...but im SERIOUSLY questioning if they dont still play him at RT out of pure stubbornness.

  7. I dont think ANY amount of surgery will shore up his POOR SLOW footwork to ever make him a viable NFL caliber RT...that said i DO 100% think he could become a VERY decent G at the NFL level..so if the Bills drafted him specifically as a RT they missed their mark...if they drafted him as a swing type OR OL and can get him to his more god given gift skills wise position of G they got their man. But if it was upper body surgery(and from the pics it appears so) thats not gonna fix the fact he is TOO SLOW vs NFL speed rushers and doesn't have that foot speed.

now for instance if you told me he had some kind of LOWER body injury that hampered his speed or agility....then id be interested to see what you have post surgery and give him the benefit of the doubt..like ankle, knee, hip type cleanup that would make the case that that made him slow...but upper body..nope not a big difference in too slow feet...

And remember overall its not that he cant block at all...its that he cant keep up footwork/speed wise with speed rushers..

  8. Im so glad i didnt grow up in this SOFT generation we are currently raising. I dont know what if anything happened and how serious it was i wish i knew so that I could seriously either say man that was WRONG   OR say man GTFO with this current day weak sauce mental frailty *****...but since I dont know I cant make a true statement on what I think.

There is stuff that I would say is "mild" like shaving cream in a helmet, singing a song for the team, having to carry around a Senior players helmet, etc, etc

Then there is the more egregious physical stuff that really shouldn't be happening anymore

I remember the shaving creme in my helmet, i remember carrying around someone helmet and pads through training camp/2 a days, I remember atomic balm in the jock strap...thats about as far as ours got though..

  9. Depends, normally a team already has a plan of who to go after in FA and who/what position they want to go for in draft...sometimes a position is SO BAD(like OL last year) they use BOTH FA and draft...FA im betting OL/DL maybe even WR but we shall see Draft im betting WR/DE they may also add some safety depth..oh and a PUNTER...do we really need or need to keep the worst punter in the NFL???

  10. LAME, I mean it was barely even a hit let along fine worthy...how about the head shot Allen took but wasnt called...FAR FAR more egregious. So now...moderately bumping..as thats all it was a moderate bump..is fine worthy..almost ..and i hate to say this..but almost wish Ford had LAID HIM OUT COLD..at least them it would be worth a fine..but that moderate bump
