This time of year there's always some kid who comes out of nowhere to be the camp/preseason star. This year feels like most positions are deep so it might be tough to make a name but I'll go Hancock from OSU as the guy who ends up contributing early. Thought this would make a good slow day thread

whether this is CTE related or not its very sad to see his mental health decline to the point where he is a danger to himself and others,

Guys get hurt in the summer. I don't like it but this stuff happens every year to every team. For all we know he wouldn't v=even have come out of a real game because of this.
-
Remember when we had to start AJ Klein in the playoffs? This guys older but this is good depth if he's even 80 percent of what he was

Yeh he showed too much not to make the team. Might not be active on game day barring injuries but he showed he belongs

Aaron Schoebel would have been a huge star on another team, underrated pass rusher and he had a really funny dry sense of humor.

It does seem like we've been a little hard on Kincaid. He had a very promising rookie season and was hurt most of last year. It's really not hard to imagine him catching 80 for 1000 this year is it?

I’m sorry, this just makes me very sad.
Then we got orton and it seemed like elway by comparison

Realistically if we get 10 games out of this guy it'll be a win

Coleman did enough pre injury that there's reason for optimism. He needs to make a big jump but it's not a pipe dream

Chris Spielman had one good season here.
Forgot about him. This is the only legit answer. He was a beast for one year before the neck and half the fans bought jerseys

orton actually played relatively well, anybody want to guess what our record would have been with EJ starting?

You could see Bills were on the cusp in 1987. You saw glimpses of what the Offense, Defense, and Special Teams could do, and it was an exciting time to be a Bills fan. It tasted sweeter after 0 for the 70s against the Fins and a rough 80s. 1988 Bills rocked, and you saw their greatness
Yeh that was a fun time. I went to my first game in 87. We lost to the Jets but it was like 34 to 32.

It sucked but it got us Bruce

its so great to see players who are genuinely happy to be bills

Hamlin did a lot of good things last season, but he's probably the slowest safety I've seen play, ever.
He's a quality backup, but way too slow to be a top starter.
Agree. Ill be really worried if Bishop doesn't clearly overtake him in preseason.

I wonder if he gets traded for some pick down the road, like some of the guys on the OL when we upgraded there.
seems like he was playing pretty well before the injury to the wrist, I would think Jones is the likely man out
