We had lousy receiving corps back then. You’d have had to get receivers to work with and we’d have saved a lot of draft busts, probably a lot of money. Instead we are left with this mess. Fitz is proven as moderately serviceable with a good receiving corps even behind a marginal line. However he’s had several 400 yard games this year and we’ve had what a bunch of ints from peterman?
How were are receivers the year before? When he played better before we threw him a ton of cash only for him to lay down.
Fitz quit on the team, it wasn’t about talent of the WRs.
-
Didn’t we sign Fitz to a huge contract only for him to play like *****? Why would we want him?
He was terrible.
The problem for the Bills is motivation. The players don’t respect the team therefore mails it in.

You're not right about this. Ball wasn't tipped and the receiver was just beyond the LOS.
We obviously need to get that gif up. Does anyone have it? Video perhaps?

I was not able to watch the game, so I can't comment intelligently on what took place. Moreover, I don't trust the objectivity of anyone who posts here, so you haven't helped me. All I can be sure of at this point is that McDermott is not going to carry 4 healthy QBs. As the highly drafted rookie, Josh Allen stays, and I think Barclay, who hasn't had an opportunity to suck in a regular season game, is probably safe. I wouldn't think Anderson or Peterman could be considered safe, but I'm not sure whether the Bills would consider cutting one or both of them. If, as some of the above posters has suggested, two of Peterman's three interceptions today were bad bounces, that might give him the advantage, but obviously neither Anderson nor Peterman is doing anywhere near enough to win a game. It probably would not be wise for a fan to get too attached to either one.
You need to watch the game. This was one of Nate’s worse performances yet.
Anderson is safe, he was brought on to mentor our young Qb.
Peterman is odd man out. Practice squad is for players with potential, since Nate has no potential, I expect him to be flat out cut.

Bye Dave keep pushing for McD to get fired but think RR deserved more time lol. A guy who took a top 5 defense and drove it into the ground lol. God people are clueless.
Yeah man, have a good night. I agree though, people are clueless.

Ok dude whatever you say. Keep pretending you know someone when you've never met them.
No. I’ve never met the guys from the Jersey shore nor have implied that I know them.

Thank you.
It doesn't even matter if it was tipped, per my new understanding, as long as it was within one yard of the LOS. That's what I'm talking about.
We were pissed about this play. We rewound it several times to make sure the call was accurate. The call was accurate. Reciever was behind the LOS when contacted and ball was tipped by a D Lineman.

I am not rewatching that game for anything.
I'm 99% sure you are wrong on it being tipped. I'm 100% sure you are wrong that he was behind the LOS. Darryl Johnston thought he was well past one yard away, and then did say on the replay, he was wrong, he was about one yard off the LOS.
I’m sure you’ll see the play sooner or later, when you do, think of me. ?

That depends on your definition of success. The guys from the jersey shore are millionaires. And being married doesnt make you mature.
So being happy, finding love and having a family all while being a multi-millionaire isn’t your definition of success?
are you implying Mike, Ron, Pauly and Vinny aren’t mature or successful?

The ball was not tipped. Not according to the announcers or the Fox ref. I know that rule.
Ball was clearly tipped...and reciever was clearly behind the LOS...
No penalty. ReWatch the game and see for yourself.

Lol ok buddy. And what's taking care of business? Being out of coaching?
Rex is married with a family. He has a great career.
Emotionally stunted males are never successful.
Rex is very successful in all aspects of life.

Pathetic isn’t it. Peterman playing has got to be one of the dumbest decisions in the history of the league.

So grown men aren't immature?
Men who take care of business are never immature.
Rex takes care of business.

Ouch. That list is detrimental.
Doesnt look like we have right coach installed for our team.

We're not talented enough to beat anyone left on our schedule including the Gag-uars.
Relax. We got this.
Ah. We beat the Vikings this year. This isn’t about talent.

Is there a coach youd like them to bring in?
You trust the owners who hired Marrone...Rex Ryan...and a coach you want fired after a year and a half...you think that's rational?
Rational? Of course it’s rational. It’s irrational to think this fo has potential.
Marrone is a good coach. Rex was decent, definitely was fired a year too early.
This regime, it doesn’t get any more obvious. We need to make a change. If they fired Rex after year 2, these guys need to be let go ASAP. They are MUCH worse in all aspects.
Yeah there are several coaches I’d bring in. Show me this years list of candidates and I’ll give you the top 3. Typically, an agency suggests coaching candidates.
-
Definitely Dabbalicious.
Ideally I’d like to see McCrusty ? and Dabs let’s go and Leslie to take over for the remainder of the year.
If they want a chance at success, this is really the only way to go.
-
Year 2 is when the significant improvement happens. Give it another year, the cream will rise.
After year 2 it is very easy to see who is a bust and who will be successful.

No, it's the way to find good in all the misery of this season.
Lets go back to 1984. One of the worst seasons in Bills history, Kelly still playing in the USFL, Knox walking away due to issues with Ralph. The AFC East title in 1980 and playoff birth in 1981 were distant memories. Bruce Matheson at QB. That horrific season ended with the Bills with a lot of picks of which they turned into Hall of Fame DE Bruce Smith, Hall of Fame WR Andre Reed and quality back-up QB Frank Reich.
The demise of the USFL led to many more quality additions and a not so disimilar situation in having 91 Million in cap space is nearing.
Meaningless wins in this lost season so nothing to help the future, the critical loss of one spot in the draft cost the Bills the opportunity to get LB Patrick Willis and later Luke Keachly.
I want to lose out to get the best player available regardless of position, then supplement free agency with picks for defined need.
History should teach us that it's easier to rise to the top after you have sunk to the bottom.
Comments are welcome of course.
We are trying to change our culture. Not tear what little we have built down.
We can still turn this season around, don’t give up hope. Keep working and good things will come.

The problem is we keep firing and we dont get any better. Do you trust ownership to get someone better? Honest question not trying to argue.
That is not a valid reason to not fire out FO. Fear shouldn’t control rational decisions.
I trust the ownership.
-
Ball was tipped, he was behind the LOS.
common knowledge, no penalty.
-
I like Anderson to play next week and Allen two weeks after that.
Barkley should be ready to be backup QB next week, I’m expecting Nate to be cut ASAP.
-
Is giving up way too early a Buffalo thing or is this a personal issue???

Why did Rex only get 2 years?

I’d think it would be because they made the playoffs last year.
