With this offensive line and with his knee, just finishing the game will be an accomplishment.

Barkley doesn’t have any glaring deficiencies. He also was an excellent college qb at one point at a big time program. There really is no reason for him to be bad. Maybe he just needed some time to adjust to the nfl game and a shot. Who knows? Maybe he will play well. You never know.
No deficiencies?
His last regular season start came on Jan. 1st, 2017 when he started for the Bears against the Vikings. He went 10-14 for 125 yards with two interceptions. He also lost a fumble in a 38-10 loss.

Why would they want to win this game?
The season is over and they should be trying to get the best draft pick possible.
Well I hope they win and the young guys and Pryor play well.

No idea how the Bills can expect anyone but the most hardcore to watch this game.
It's week 10 and this team is completely unwatchable.
I'd love to hear the last time a team had to start two QBs in the same year after they'd been on the roster less than two weeks.
It is the Jets. They can't score either. You watch because we might win.

Such garbage. Nathan Peterman wasn't benched. The national media is a joke with this garbage. Peterman played last week because Allen got hurt and Anderson got hurt and Barkley just got here. They act like the Bills intended to start Peterman the rest of the year. All these quarterbacks are playing just until Allen is healthy.

I feel sorry for any QB who has to play behind that line and with those wide receivers.
Amen.

From BuffaloBills.com
He will fit right in. ?

That is the most salient point of this entire QB debacle. It is the understatement of the year, and the most obvious statement of the year, they have so mismanaged the QB position in Buffalo. They own the players and fans of the Bills an apology.
Agreed. This is why I get annoyed when Peterman becomes the national joke. The real joke is the GM and Coach.

Barkley has had a few good games in NFL regular seasons before. Not many, but it would be nice to have a backup that could come in and play okay, instead of awful.
Anderson will be fine. He has had time to learn play book. Who cares though, if they have to play a backup it means Allen is hurt again. Disaster.

Yes! No Peterman. Love it. Strange about Humber and completely disgusting about Foster. Beane is just absolutely terrible with personnel. I am excited for Barkley though. Go bad or indifferent, at least we don’t already know that he sucks. That’s enough for me
Barkley sucks. And he is injury prone. They just need a warm body for 60 minutes.

Watch Barkley come out and throw 300 yards and 3tds lol
He is worse than Peterman and Allen. Wait. Who cares though. Allen stays healthy he starts last six.

Unless Barkley is worse, which would take an awful lot
They likely both will be cut. Barkley isn't going to fare well tomorrow. Allen and Anderson in last 6. Peterman might have small chance of being resigned for practice squad for 6 weeks in case Allen gets hurt.

Clearly Pegula and McDermott read my thread. ?

that is probably the most depressing thing i have ever read
Who cares. It is one game. They have six games left with Allen as starter and Anderson to back him up. 4 at home. Plenty of games for experience.

I highly doubt Allen starts/plays tomorrow. No full practice yet, bye week to follow, and season is toast. Why rush him back?
Your reasoning is too logical for many on this board.

No.
You're wrong.
But if he EVER starts Peterman again, the likelihood he gets fired dramatically increases.
He doesn't have to start Peterman. He has Barkley.

Right here it is folks.... a first ballot HOF’r “wouldn’t do much better” than Anderson, peterman, and the rookie.
LOVE IT
He wouldn't. Neither would Brady. They would have no time to throw and nobody to throw it to.

Ladies, find you a man that looks at you the way that Kevin 1778 looks at Nate Peterman.
I have no problem cutting Peterman. I just don't want Allen playing tomorrow. Barkley is just fine.

Never in all my years of following the "next great Bills QB" have I seen fans want a guy shelved as much as they want Allen shelved. Nobody ever worried about EJ getting injured or ruined by Nate Hackett's offense. I'm not just talking about this situation. Going back to training camp, there's this sense that fans want to keep Allen on the bench as long as humanly possible.
I get it. If he looks like crap, next year doesn't look so bright.
Yes, sitting him for 1 extra game before a bye is asking for him to be shelved. Geniuses are out in force today.
Just now, Kirby Jackson said:He had started 4 games in the last 8 years!! That’s tells you how inept your boy was. They had to pull this old man off of the golf course because NP wasn’t an option to ever play. You said that “no QB could succeed in this environment.” Do you believe that Drew Brees would throw for 2,416 yards, 5 TDs and 28 INts?
Drew Brees wouldn't do much better with this line and these receivers.

Right. He was getting slammed to the turf when he gifted wrapped the game to the Texans. SMH
what was your excuse for him last year when he had a line and still sucked butt
Tyrod threw for 50 yards in a game. The line didn't pass block last year either. This line is worse.

Just now, Kirby Jackson said:
Talking to a rock?!! The QBs are on pace to throw 5 TDs and 28 INTs!! They are doing that in this era. You don’t believe that is an issue.
No quarterback could put up decent numbers with that offensive line. Anderson is a solid quarterback in league for a decade. He turned it over 6x and didn't throw a single TD. He had no time to throw the ball.
-
Just now, Stank_Nasty said:
Right. Let’s compare a rookie traveling to lambeau and getting blanked to a guy that has thrown a historical % of interceptions per pass attempt.
That makes sense. Good job buddy.
ZERO points. It is not the quarterbacks. It is the line. The Bills can't run the ball either. Peterman is a scapegoat. Period.

Fans are terrified that Allen may just not be very good. That's where this sentiment comes from.
It would be in McDermott's best interest to shelve him as long as possible, so he deserves praise if he doesn't take the easy way out.
The sooner we find out what we have, the better.
Not worried about him not being very good, worried about him getting injured behind a not very good line.

No, his 30.7 rating is elevating those around him. You’re right
Like talking to a rock. You could put the top rated QB in the NFL behind center and this is still the worst offense in the NFL.
Playing Allen tomorrow is insanity. And you don't have to play Peteman.
Barkley expected to start

Anderson had 6 turnovers, a pick six, and no Touchdowns in two starts against two of worst defenses in the NFL. Not sure Peterman or Anderson are the problem.
