Introducing Maureen Scalia, the late Justice's widow, Trump also recognizes all 9 of their children then adds, "You were very busy. Wow. Wow. I always knew I liked him."

It wasn't funny when he said it, and it's not funny now.  I'm sure the family wasn't happy.  Very sure.

probably the most shocking on the list EJ Manuel. Not a good grade at all.

Shocking?  Why?  He should never have been picked until round 3. That was a terrible draft pick and the pre-draft analysis was right on.  He was a one read QB and then run in college.  He just wasn't the gifted athlete like Vick, Taylor and other to be able to scramble at run at the pro level.  He therefore needed to become a pocket QB with a 10 cent brain.  Nice guy, terrible QB.

Why do you come to that conclusion?  I don't think any team in the league is trusting Bradford as being their starter for any real period of time.

Because Bradford is a quality starting QB.  If he signs somewhere it's to start.  Even with a bad knee, he is a top 10 QB in the league when playing.  They get some insurance with a quality QB in 3rd round who can learn.  But, they need to keep the pick to put a Oline in front of bradford, and shore up the defense.

  4. If they get Bradford instead of Foles, I'm guessing they hold their draft picks and pick Rudolph, Falk or Lauletta in the third.  They sit and learn for a year or two behind Bradford, or if he goes down they get thrust in earlier.  They're going to need to draft a couple of guards or G/C hig and use two of picks in 1/2 to get those settled.  Move Glenn to right side and line is solid to protect these QB's.

Out of the teams that traded up for 1st round QBs in the past 10 years:

    2017:

    Chicago for Mitchell Trubisky

    Kansas City for Patrick Mahomes

    Houston for Deshaun Watson

    2016:

    Los Angeles for Jared Goff

    Philadelphia for Carson Wentz

    2015: no one.

    2014:

    Johnny Manziel

    Teddy Bridgewater

    2013: no one.

    2012:

Washington gave up the farm for RG3.

    2011: nobody.

    2010: nobody.

    2009:

Tampa Bay traded to #17 for Josh Freeman.

    2008: Nobody

So out of the 9 QBs taken:

    33% have been great.

    (Wentz, Goff, Watson)

    44% have been busts.

    (Freeman, RG3, Trubisky, Manziel)

22% the jury is still out on.

    (Bridgewater, Mahomes)

Based on your title, it says 1st round trade for QB, you for EJ Manuel.

Interesting.  throwing Taylor in there fore comparison.  Other than less yards per game, Taylor is as good or better in every category.  TD%, INT%, Comp%,  QB Rating, yards per pass, and his yards per game as a starter are pretty equal to Smith over his career (201 vs 204).  Plus Taylor is younger.  I say if you make a move for anyone you go Bradford or you stick with Taylor.
