McBeane needs Allen to save their collective ass, I'm not expecting him to do so however. This franchise once again really looks foolish.

It's too bad he's always been so inconsistent.

I don't see this team winning a game this year. I see way too many positions to fill in 2019 and not enough players to fill those positions and not enough money to pay those players. I just don't see Beane and McDermott lasting past next season.
I think they get 2 more seasons. I expect them to be gone after that. It just doesn't look like they know what they're doing.

Before the game, it was reported that no charges would be filed. Just sayin'.
It ain't looming.
It could still affect trade value, investigation is still ongoing.

There are available players that can help us. There are coaches that can be fired and there are players that can be benched. Its 1 game. You don’t just fold up. Keep trying to get better until you get it right. Both the oline coach and DC have shown enough in the last 18 games to be let go.
Yeah, I mean when you start talking about firing coaches after the first game, kind of in tire fire territory.

I know we have loads of dead money but the signings we had look like busts. Star and Murphy do not look good at all
Agreed, Whaley did a better job acquiring impact free agents than Beane has shown so far.

There really isn't much to be done at this stage tbh, this team lacks talent. There is a reason vegas and the national media were saying worst team in the NFL this season.

Imagine that -- guys who are paid millions of dollars to build a football team thinking they know how to do that better than fans on an message board!
Yet they seem to be way off the mark. As per usual for this organization...

Punter fumbled a snap, but didn’t suck.
Murphy had some good runs
Allen had some good throws. Footwork generally looked OK.
Not a lot of silver lining there, but some
I am baffled by the punter situation I must admit.

No, I did not expect to get mopped like this either my friend. I also expected Peterman to at least be serviceable. I was wrong.
My biggest concern is that this coach and GM thought he made progress from what he was last season, and deserved to start. This scares the crap out of me. I didn't like the Allen pick, now I am even less confident in this FO when it comes to talent e v a l.

I said in the season expectations thread I didn't expect much this year. I just want to see growth from the young players because we do have what could make a foundational core group.
Alright, makes sense to me. I feel kind of the same. I expected a loss today, but not this bad.

Becoming clear the GM and coach are clueless.
They really have the 'ol "we know better than you" when it comes to building a team. It's a good bet McBeane is gone by the 2021 season.

No way the bills will retrieve a high pick for a 30 year old expensive RB
Not to mention the Delicia stuff looming.

And throws a pic on the last drive of regulation when all they needed was a FG to win.
He's still better than Peterman, and likely Allen

Fire Beane, fire McDermott, worst team ever, trade McCoy, there's a line waiting for a turn at the Pat Mahomes "glory hole", the sky is falling, the volcano is about to go off at Yellowstone, and the west coast is about to fall off into the Pacific. It's week one for God's sake. The board may be hard to deal with this year.
There are people like you every season... Dude, the Bills suck There was no silver lining, at all.

Debatable. There's honest rumors of Beane running both drafts on some level
I tend to believe this, I am pretty confident Beane was advising McDermott from afar.

I figured Allen would not play until 0-4.

Edmunds for a 20 year old rookie MLB on the road against the Ravens played great. He missed some tackles he needs to make. He took himself out of a few. But he really played well overall. There was a stretch in the middle of the game when on four consecutive plays I think he had a sack, a pass defensed, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
Great? He sucks in coverage.

He'll never fight for a contested ball, we definitely found that out today.

Right.
That explains your username and avatar.
I made that when he was named the starter slick. I pay no allegiance to any one player on this team, never have.

Sour grapes because Peterman sucks?
No? Peterman has never impressed me.

Andy Reid knows offense. He brought along Mahomes slowly last year. They are loaded with offensive talent. This is the ideal situation for a young qb to be in. Was hoping we could the same with Josh Allen this year.
They would have had to have kept Taylor to do that. Instead, we have no QB in front of Allen. If Allen is one of those guys who can get his confidence decimated behind a bad OL and without any receivers, his career is already doomed.

Mahomes is Josh Allen with much better instincts.
It's unfathomable to me that we passed on Mahomes just to go after Allen with a higher pick the next season.
Truly mind boggling.
I agree, I think it was a huge mistake. No Trey White, but I think the Chiefs may have gotten the better NFL QB.
Problem is, I don't think the Bills can develop Allen, they will likely ruin him. Probably would have ruined Mahomes too.
