    “Breaking...”??

This is news, much less “Breaking” news?

Breaking: I am enjoying tonight’s Final Four games!

Just because you are behind a computer screen doesn't mean you need to be flip and rude.  Amazing how the internet has turned people into animals simply because they can be snide, rude, and flip from the safety of their homes.  I guarantee you acted like this to someone's face, you'd pull back a smile that's all gums.

  2. It appears, with the Spain signing, the Bills are going ALL-IN on defense in the draft.

While I love the additions at TE and WR, I still think a glaring hole is missing in the WR corp:  A 6'4" or taller WR that could do fade routes in the endzone, or jump balls there too.  Since most DBs are shorter, I believe a tall, physical receiver would add depth to the WR corp.

I know.  The Bills tried that with James Hardy (RIP) and that 6'5" sack of snot KB. . .but I believe Beane and McD have their plan and if they pull the trigger it won't be a bust.

Speed is great getting down the field.  In close red zone (inside the 10), I like tall WRs and TEs that are hard to bring down.

So is your point we should be signing people to help ST in which they are doing that or not signing people to help to promote a specific narrative? or 2. just to find something to criticize?

If you bothered to read anything other than the OP, I said this is good they are addressing all weaknesses of the team, since ST seems to something glossed over.  Is there a reason for your highly aggressive sounding response?   Are you looking to argue and fight with someone you will never meet in your life?

I think we agree. Just thought you may have been missing the fact that we are bringingin ST players when we address the WR and CB and the like.

Everything weak needs to be addressed.  I'm glad ODB isn't neglecting this part of the game in pursuit of higher WR and OL talent.  I like bringing in ST proficient people.  They can help train technique as well to the talent McD and the staff have pegged solely as ST players.

You do realize these days special teams is the majority of the 2nd and 3rd tier players on D and O right?

Yes I do.  But I also know that ST normal has that.  And giving up huge returns and stupid flags on ST plays is completely inexcusable.  I was on shoutcast here during games.  People on this site were screaming for Crossman's head with good reason.

I want a monopoly on Josh Allens.

If they get him, maybe Deuce Allen will develop a huge man-crush following like Josh has already.  Josh earned it. . .hopefully, if he's drafted, Deuce Allen (Josh Allen #2, hence Deuce) will earn it too.  This is Buffalo. . .you can be sub-average in talent, but give your all and love the city and sometimes we can look passed the talent issues.  But Deuce has massive talent.

If his reply was that of a sociopath I’m scared to ask what yours is

One from a person who loathes rude and believes in two things:  The Golden Rule, and not turning the other cheek.  I won't apologize. . .well, I will.  I'm sorry their words and actions made me act in a way that is how I normally act.  They really need to work on that.I l

I wonder how people back home in the States teach their children manners, civility, and tact, when, from what I see living overseas and what I get online, there isn't any anymore.  I'm glad I'm live in a place where there is still shame.  If my thread is something you don't like, just ignore it.  A simple "yeah, you're right" was all that was warranted, not snide responses.

One more thing. . .don't give me "it's just the internet."  There is a pathology in behavior like this.  They know they are safe behind a computer screen.  If they said or acted this way in public, they'd probably get a fist in the teeth.

Some sort of evaluative action in between putting a thought  into writing and clicking "submit," will prevent most threads like this.

Here are some simple things you could do:

     - Count to 10

     - Ask yourself, "Is this a good idea?"

     - Step away from the computer and come back when you are sober

    I'm sure there are more...

No need to be flip or rude, buddy.

    Pretty fail thread man.

Commenting how positive signings to help one of our weakest areas is fail.  Okay then.  More flippant internet responses because people are locked safely behind a computer screen.

This stunning revelation needed to be made into it's own thread.

Yes. . .because that's what a message board is for.  Sorry it doesn't rise to your level of brilliance, but I left my Hooked on Phonics and Crayons back in second grade.  Care to do the same and respond with maturity closer to your age and not your shoe size?

Why does that matter. He doesn't play for the Bills. I am sorry but this mentality that players have to be nice guys is over rated.

I would take an elite WR like Antonio Brown over a guy like foster any day. Talent trumps blue collar nice guys.

Haters gotta hate because they have nothing of value to offer themselves.  Criticism is one thing. . .out and out mocking and crap like that is for the playground.

As for choir boys. . .as long as they aren't a clubhouse cancer, bring them in.  I'd rather have a bunch of Chuck Cecils and guys with chips on their shoulders than the nice, church going choir boy that believes the Straight Edge lifestyle is too hard core because of piercing and tattoos and because they carry a bible under their helmets.  This is the NFL. . .you want mercy, you take your ass to church.

Gone are the cheap Ralph days.

Gone are the days of signing an aging and deteriorating Mario Williams to am oversized contract when we had nothing else around him and we should have been tearing it down instead of that marketing ploy by Russ Brandon.

Gone are the days of trading up for a WR using valuable draft stock when we had no QB to throw to him.

Gone are the days of hiring a flashy coach like Rex Ryan who was all talk with little substance and had the team pulling in different directions.

I'm just so pleased with this front office and ownership group who appears to have an actual plan to be successful and be a perennial team in the playoff hunt.

Obviously going for Allen was their biggest and smartest decision they have made. And now free agents are actually wanting to come to Buffalo because of our QB!

McDermott and Beane have built an actual team with character and skill who care for each other, the city of Buffalo and are excited to be a Buffalo Bill!

And for once in a very long time im proud to be a Bills fan! The time is now!

    Go Bills !

I like this idea, but I am lukewarm on it.  Win the six out of the first eight games of the year but blowing out opponents on both sides of the ball, then I'll start feeling better about the turnaround.

I've been seeing a lot of positive posts about the state of the franchise, Beane is awesome, etc. and wanted to come in with some truth (negativity).

Our WR corps was the worst in the league last season. It's now been upgraded to.... a bottom 5 unit? I'm trying to be hopeful here (and there's still the draft), but this group absolutely sucks on paper.

Zay Jones - 2nd rd pick 3 years ago. In 2 seasons he's shown occasional flashes, but to call him anything more than a WR3 at this point is unrealistic.

John Brown - 5 full seasons in the NFL and he has 1 season of 1,000+ yards (the only season of 1k receiving yards by any receiver on our roster). In 2015 he hit exactly 1,003 yards. Through 5 seasons he's somewhere between a bad WR2 and a good WR3.

Cole Beasley - 7 full seasons in the NFL and his best season was 833 yards. He's the definition of a WR3.

Robert Foster - UDFA with 1 half season experience. He played pretty well, and could potentially be a diamond in the rough. He's a complete wild card.

We don't have anything even close to resembling a WR1 on this team. Heck, we don't even have a WR2 on this team. John Brown is the best option, and he'd be considered a pretty bad WR2 on most teams.

You can always leave if you're going to crap on the team like this.  The door is that way ------------------->

  12. The Buffalo Bills made plenty of waves in free agency, signing nine players to help bolster the roster for the 2019 season. Although the Bills have already made plenty of moves to upgrade the roster, free agency is still young around the National Football League, and the NFL Draft is coming up in about a month in Nashville, Tennessee.

After the whirlwind week, Bills general manager Brandon Beane joined John Murphy and Chris Brown on One Bills Live to talk about the team's aggressive free agency plan and what is next for the team going forward.

This I completely agree with and it explains McBeane's process and philosophy.

  13. I will start by saying I have a huge man-crush on Josh Allen.  I found him to be one of the brightest spots of last year, especially after he came back.

But his working this off season, his immediate contact with all free agent signees. . .this kid wants to run this team.  So, my question to all of you. . .if you think Allen it, what play made you believe he's the franchise QB?

For me. . .it was one play.  The hurdle run.  That showed me exactly what this kid is and has.

I've been reading the AFCE forums today, and of course Jets fans are super excited, as they should be, that team is not going to be an easy out for anyone this year.  Pats fans gunna Pats fan, ho hum FA, still clinging to the GOAT for at least one more year, but reading the forums, THEY KNOW, the times are a changing.  And then we have the Fins fans..  Can't imagine what these boards would be like if we had as boring a FA period as they are having knowing that they are in serious tank-mode..

    I know, I know, I shouldn't feel bad but I do. :)

    Tim-

Screw the Fins. . .Screw their fans. . .Screw everything Miami Dolphin related.
