She edited the tweet, it was different yesterday. Said she thinks the Bills owe Poyer a big payday after how he's played for them. I think Poyer has played well... I don't know if he's up there with some of the top safeties in the league, but I think I'd keep him around.

And if I were a pro athlete, I think I'd tell my SO that my agent will handle contract negotiations. Comments like hers (before she changed it) just draw negative attention.

I didn't realize you could edit tweets.

With the ratings  the Bills pulled, i called last month Bills/Pats in Orchard Park as the Sunday righter. If not, the early Monday righter

Buffalo getting a Sunday nighter early in be season is too risky. The NFL would want it later in the season to be able to flex us out if we suck.

Im voting for AJ Green and BRESHAD PERRIMAN in FA.  Throw in a big fast 1st round rookie as well.  Stock up and leave Allen with no excuse next year.

Greene will be 32 next season. Plus after spending all those years losing with Cincinnati, do you think he will come here?

  4. It was late in the 4th quarter and Josh took an inexcusable sack on 3rd down. Then he took another sack on 4th down. Why didn't we kick the FG instead, since House Money had made one from that distance pre-game, or at least punt, since we had three time outs? It was like 4th and 23 when we went for it. The announcer said something about Sean McDermott knowing something about his kicker.

But San Francisco 49ers reporter Eric Ting objected strongly, writing this:

    https://www.sfgate.com/49ers/article/season-award-list-snubs-Kyle-Shanahan-Nick-Bosa-14934551.php

    [short excerpt]

"Barnwell limits this category to moves made in 2019, and John Lynch had an incredible 2019 as far as player acquisition goes. Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel, Dee Ford, Emmanuel Sanders, Kwon Alexander and Tevin Coleman were not in Santa Clara in 2018, and all played significant roles in the team's remarkable turnaround.

According to Barnwell however, Lynch had just the third-best offseason in the NFL. Ahead of Lynch was Eric DeCosta of the Baltimore Ravens, who installed Greg Roman as offensive coordinator, and brought in Mark Ingram, Earl Thomas, Marquise Brown and Marcus Peters. Fair enough, but Ravens fans and 49ers fans would both be annoyed to learn that Barnwell gave the top spot in this category to Brandon Beane of the Buffalo Bills.

Barnwell gushes over the Bills' 2019 draft class that includes of Ed Oliver, Cody Ford (whom Barnwell concedes has "struggled a bit" this season), Devin Singletary, and Dawson Knox. Barnwell also cites the low-cost signings of Cole Beasley and and John Brown at receiver, as well as other under-the-radar moves at offensive line.

Beane had a nice offseason to propel Buffalo back into the playoffs, but it's hard to say the work he did in 2019 was more impressive than the heavy lifting undertaken by Lynch and DeCosta, especially as a large portion of the Bills' core (Josh Allen, Tre'Davious White, Tremaine Edmunds, etc.) was already in place prior to 2019."

College in Cleveland, swearing every time Kelly did not hand the ball to Thurman and Talley missing another tackle.  Thirman would have had 200 all purpose yards that day. Two more stops by the defense and we blow that game wide open in the third quarter.

Yep, Thurman had more yards that game than OJ Anderson, but it was Anderson who won MVP. Still upsets me to this day.

    I hate the NFC East!!

The Bills were 7-1 vs. the NFC East in the SB years in the regular season. They only lost to Washington in the last week of the 1990 season in a meaningless game, to finish 13-3. The Bills owned the NFC East during those years.

Me and my wife were at our house with a bottle of champagne ready to be popped, along with the biggest doobie I could roll. When the kick was missed, we immediately looked at each other and said "we'll be back". We ended up going outside and hanging out with what seemed to be the whole neighborhood, partying til 3 am. Everyone out there had the same mindset of "we'll be back next year". Little did we know...

Yes, the bottle of champagne was popped and the doobie was shared. Thinking back, it was actually a good night.

This was the best SB for the Bills; the others left me very depressed. Although I was thrilled at half-time in SB XXVIII when the Bills led Dallas.

Thinking the whole time we had to wait for the snap that there was no way he was gonna make it

Wondering who that squat young DC was who had stolen a SB from the Bills

I remember the events of both attempts on Ford

I also was thinking Norwood wouldn't make it. Anything over 40-45 yards for him was difficult.

I also didn't realize there were attempts on Ford's life. I was too young at the time.

I was at the Stadium in Tampa surrounded by NY Giant fans. ?

At least you were there, but Giant fans are very arrogant. I had to deal with a lot of students from NYC while at the University of Rochester. People from that atra loved sending their kids to a private upstate NY university. The students from there even wanted to watch the CBS (NFC) pre-game show (Greg Gumbel) instead of the NBC one, which was preferred by Bills fans (Bob Costas!!). We told them Rochester was Bills territory.

Also, Thurman had written "Tampa" on his cleats at the beginning of the season, to signify that was the team goal.

A missed FG reminds you of Presidential Assassinations? WOW!?

Doesn't remind me of them, but all Bills fans know where they were during wide right. That was my point.

I was standing in my Father-In-Laws living room downstate. He was a Die Hard Giants fan. When Norwide missed the kick, I put a hole in his living room wall. He eventually put a frame around the hole and a small plaque that said" My pain in the Ass Son in Law after his Bills lost the Superbowl".

Wow... that is good he didn't go ballistic when you made the hole, and took it all in stride.

  12. Wide right during the Super Bowl XXV in January 1991 is kind of like the Kennedy assassination, 9/11, the assassination attempt of Reagan, or the Challenger explosion: everyone remembers where they were when it happened.

For me, I was working as a student employee at the dining hall at the University of Rochester. They had the game on a big screen TV there, but I couldn't really watch since I was cleaning tables. I did take a few seconds to watch when Norwood made the attempt. I would have celebrated big time that night, but it wasn't to be.

So where were you: at home, at school, at a bar, at a friend or relative's house??

Actually to correct you Flores won 2 Super Bowls the first one I believe was back in 79 and then he won in 83. Plunkett doesn’t deserve the HOF because he was mediocre to average at best. He was pretty much a joe Ferguson type of handoff man to Marcus Allen and that year in 83 it was all Allen and the defense.

It was actually in 1980-81, when the Raiders upset the Philadelphia Eagles. I remember that year fondly, as the Bills won the division at 11-5. The fans tore down the goal posts on opening day when we beat Miami for the first time in a decade. I agree about Plunkett.

    edit: there isn't a third?

    Ditka and who else?

Thomas Raymond Flores is an American former professional football coach and player. He and Mike Ditka are the only two people in National Football League history to win a Super Bowl as a player, assistant coach, and head coach.

Yeah I got it wrong. Just two people. Thanks for catching my mistake. I will edit my post.

  15. He was nominated for the Centennial class as a coach, but he played for the Bills as a QB in the late 60's. He is only one of two [not three, like I originally posted] people to have won a SB as a player, assistant coach, and head coach. Enshrinees will be selected January 8. Let's go Tom!
