They were saying readers misconstrued it. Masks should not be a political issue. The bulk of data shows they help mitigate spread. It is a public health concern.
Seems pretty clear what they wrote. Sounds more like "we messed up" than the readers misconstruing what was written.

A few weeks later the authors of this article published a comment saying their data was misconstrued and in fact they felt their results supported mask use.
So they didn't know how to interpret their own data? I don't know if that's any better.
It shouldn't be this hard to distinguish fact from fiction in regards to COVID...and I think it is the worst with social media. Someone posts crap (from both sides) and it's taken for gospel and watch it grow into an albatross.

That same NE Journal of Medicine back in May...everyone has been a MMQB on this

"We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic."

That's about where I am at. They are already 0-3.
Just wipe them from this season, suspend the entire franchise, give all of their opponents Ws.
Go nuclear and make sure this crap doesnt happen anywhere else again.

Exactly Trump will create more unrest in a country he has almost fully destroyed. He loves this stuff he loves his Proud Boys and is happy that people still think ANTIFA is a real organization.

1. CONFIRMED: The President is symptomatic.
2. KNOWN: The President is obese.
3. KNOWN: The President suffers from metabolic syndrome and a not-uncommon form of heart disease in elderly men.
You have to take all that into account.
4. He's a New Yorker and Cuomo may want to put him in a nursing home

I suspect he is one of those people who thinks that despite a lost draft pick, a million-dollar fine and a four-game Brady* suspension for deflating footballs, the Patriots* didn't really cheat. Everyone else was just jealous.
heck, they got caught recording Bengals practices...the Bengals...

Just like the bad old days of Bills-Pats. "They must be cheating" is so much easier to stomach than "We suck."
You could have used any other team that didn't get caught cheating as a better analogy...

Called 2 days ago...finally got ST for free and $15/mo for 12 months. Of course they still charged me for ST, so I had to get back online and have a "chat" and they took of the charge and I was "assured" I wouldn't be charged the remainder of ST. We will see, but I'm happy I didn't have to pay a dime to NFL this year.

btw don't let these conservative doomers make you believe the economy has "collapsed". The economy is fine, and is nowhere near as bad as these people keep saying it is. Grocery stores, target/walmart/costco's and fast food chains are hitting record profits all across America. Amazon is setting record profits, so is online shopping in general.
only places doing bad are malls (which were going exticnt anyways), movies, and nightlife venues/bars.
Yeah, the gym, salons, non chain restaurants, and mom & pop shops are all doing fine....
Amazon and the big box stores are the few that can survive this mess. Sadly there will be many that don't, leading to continued higher unemployment. The economy is far from "fine"

Isn’t this amazing? Should be front page news. Should be the outrage of the so called virtue seekers, the holier than thous, the people claiming to be so enveloped in angelic positioning on this earth and yet it’s not. Instead; they allow themselves to have their attention diverted and refocused where the puppet masters want their attention to be.
This entire Epstein/Maxwell thing is MASSIVE. GLOBAL. If November doesn’t go like we need it to go; this will be swept under the rug.and it goes back to business as usual. I guess, what bothers me the most and just boils my blood is that people want to shove manufactured virtue signaling down my ***** throat and be outraged over a man they don’t even listen to but get brainwashed into hating and yet real world problems get ignored or called “conspiracy theories”. I guess that’s why my go to response to their BS is a heartfelt “***** off”.
Agreed...slavery WAS terrible...human trafficking IS terrible and currently a worldwide issue. Where is the outrage for the human trafficking?
There should be names released of all involved in this, Prince Andrew, Bill Richardson....name them all

I do. So does my wife, a pediatrician.
I do...3 but I don't have to worry about it much since my wife (a former teacher) homeschools my kids. Best decision we ever made for our kids.
And those who worry about the social aspect, don't bother...they are actively involved in sports, church functions and other clubs to keep them around their friends (obviously before COVID)

Let the experiment begin!
The experiment already took place...(bear with it, it is FoxNews...).
"A law enforcement source told Fox News that an estimated 200,000 people came to protest in D.C. throughout the course of the day."

That's part of the reason why I'll never join those other platforms. You see the hate being spewed just within the PPP. If you surround yourself with it 24-7, all you get are hate filled individuals. I can handle a bit just to get some perspective, but I refuse to surround myself with it all the time.

No facebook, twitter or any of that for me. I'm called a boomer (even though I'm GenX) because of it. But to me, it brings out the worst in people and I want no part of it.

Many kids were used as props. That's why the rapid DNA tests are administered at the border. Many of these so called "parents" are found to have no relation to these kids and separated.
It can be explained rationally...and this should have been Trump's response.
