I think the Jets main plan is to draft Sam Darnold and if he isn't there I think they go RB Saquon Barkley.

This makes so much more sense as they did sign Teddy Bridgewater who could be their long-term QB if he ever returns to 100% healthy.

I love Josh Allen and think he would be a perfect fit in Buffalo. A big, strong blue-collar type who played in the snow and cold of Wyoming. His toughness reminds me of Jim Kelly.

If a trade up to #2 doesn’t happen, #4 would be ideal if you guys wanted to take him.

He’s not a very talented WR imo.  He’s a great athlete that was the only option on what could be the worst WR unit in history once Coleman broke his hand.  Teams are going to accumulate stats.  He was just the best of the worst and accumulated stats.

Peyton Hillis ran for almost 1200 yards and had 11 tds one season.  He was incredibly talented......

I believe that Pryor has more upside than any WR on the Bills.  A higher ceiling.  But I just don’t see how he’s a more talented WR than everyone on the Bills.  He’s just a better athlete.  Like I said before, we just view things differently

Richardson should’ve gone to jail for that one he pulled.  Dude is just an idiot

Yeah, Sheldon is an idiot for sure. Glad we got rid of em’. Can’t endanger a child like that. We got a good return for the trade, too. I initially thought we waited too long to trade him and his value would drop..but the Seahawks gave us a good deal.

Good question.  I don't know either.  And for your draft experts/people who watch more college FB than us, how does Mike White compare also?

Prototypical size and played the spread with various different pro style play calling sprinkled in.

Not nearly as polished as far as footwork and pocket presence goes but I have a lot more hope for White than Rudolph who was purely a spread QB. He was a “see it, throw it” type player and didn’t have to go through many progressions.

With that said, Mike White is a interesting prospect to say the least.

  4. Oh Lauletta by far for me. Rudolph is a spread QB with a strong arm who didn’t face much competition in the big 12z

i know Lauletta comes from a small school and didn’t exactly face any tough teams, himself. But he has all the tools to be successful to me. Nice and calm footwork and deadly accuracy. Accuracy is my favorite trait in a QB because you need it to be successful at the next level.

Lauletta is a guy who can come in and sit..develop behind a vet just as Jimmy G did and then put it all together.

Rudolph, to me, is a flashier Bryce Petty.

to properly answer your question though..

Rudolph by far has the stronger arm, Lauletta has the better pocket presence and accuracy.(probably the most accurate passer behind Rosen.)

and Lauletta is the better fit for the Bills. If you are going to be bringing in a Perkins style offense...Lauletta is your guy and someone I would be excited to have on my team if I was the Bills.

That was the scheme under Dennison and now it's changing to Erhardt-Perkins scheme which is what the Patriots run and a big reason as to why Deball is the new OC. He worked for the Patriots for a lot of years as WR, TE assistant coach and was the Alabama OC last year.

This was one of the reasons as to why they moved on from Tyrod and now want more of a pocket passer QB vs an RPO QB.

Just some food for thought here. UCLA QB Josh Rosen ran a version of a WCO offense and that is kinda why I don't believe all the hype around the Bills wanting him.

Makes sense. Could the Bills use a guy like Allen with prototypical size and style of play? I know you guys don’t love the thought of Allen but I believe you could develop him better than we ever can.

I think your boys will miss ASJ at TE and Will Robby be suspended?

I liked ASJ but in retrospect he came on strong at first but really didn’t have much of an impact down the stretch. I also believe we could of paid him the extra few bucks to keep him. Which leads me to believe Quincy is their guy again.

And I’m not too sure about Anderson. There hasn’t even any talk about it, but if it does happen I would suspect something light like a 2 game suspension. Anything higher than that would surprise me. Well actually maybe four...that’s what Sheldon Richardson got for his speeding incident.

  7. I appreciate the warm welcome guys. Gotta admit, I expected to get grilled when I signed up being that I root for a division rival but you guys seem pretty cool.

Pats fans would of went ape sh*t lol. I honestly haven’t met a single decent Pats fan. They are all full of it.

  8. Word is if Rosen is there then it’s 1000% Rosen because he fits our WCO scheme perfectly and we love the kid. Our front office absolutely needs a QB that can impact the Win column this year. Rosen just seems to be that guy for us.

Allen is someone that we are comfortable with. We love his upside but personally I don’t think we have the organization that can develop the kid and help him reach his “potential”. Potential is a very iffy word in the world of football but if the choice comes down to Mayfield or Allen..I do believe Macc goes Allen.

I doubt it. The Jets could match whatever pick the Bills threw in there and it would be likely to be around or above the Bills spot next year. The Jets had the #6 pick vs the # 12 and that was the deal maker right there.

While I agree that #6 to #12 was the biggest factor in all of it, I also come away with the impression if the Bills were to throw in a 1st next year, it would of been extremely hard to turn that down considering whatever they had on the table for 2018 picks as well.

Thats my train of thought now with the Giants/Bills situation. It’s going to hard to turn a deal down that involves a 1st round pick next year.

I sincerely doubt that the Colts didn't give Beane a chance to beat the Jets' offer. If the Jets beat the Bills to the 3 spot, it's because Beane chose not to agree to whatever it was going to take to beat the Jets' offer.

Exactly. That would of been lazy on the Colts part not to at least check back in with Buffalo and see if they can get even more out of them. If the price was right, Colts would of f most likely let go of that 3rd pick regardless of dropping out of the top 10.

Have a feeling we will be talking about this offseason for years to come. You do know the Jets will pick the wrong QB lol

Oh this is definitely an offseason for the books..think it reshapes the entire division for once Brady is gone.

and yeah..you are probably right LMAO. I think they may be able to luck into a decent one though.

I dont trust this organization to develop a QB by themselves though..that’s why Allen is a big no for me.

Puzzling roster building. Mo Wilk much better.

Noooooo...Mo was garbage the last two years. Literally invisible man. He took off for 90% of his snaps and left Leo Williams to take double teams with a spreained wrist. Guy was not who the rest of the league thinks/thought he was. He got his paycheck and tuned out.

dunno if I Love the idea of Suh playing with us. He does have a nasty game and I look at him like Sheldon Richardson with a “mean streak” but he is 31.

Will say that his PFF rating is “Elite”..top 5 at his position..think the idea of adding Suh is the fact the front office understands that there will be no pass rushing generating from the outside this season so they want to add talent up front to at least make up for that in some manner.

If we sign him for say...a 3 year deal with an escape hatch after the 1st year..I’m cool with that.

Maccagnan is unhinged.  Don't rule out Barkley for them.

Not in a million years man lol...

we have ave a few guys on the board who are actually okay with giving up that much draft capital and grabbing Barkely it Rosen and Darnold are gone..safe to say I went off today for that lol.

This wreaks of a Todd Bowles move to me. I think they believe they have a good grasp on the culture and locker room so they have confidence in bringing Suh in as long as he cooperates. Macc is known for the escape hatch deals and it’s what helped us get out of the Wilkerson extension..so if he can play nice and produce well..I don’t see the harm..that’s a decent sized “IF” though.

Who do you think the Jets are targeting at 3?  Mayfield, Rosen or Allen?

We have some insider information from a guy on our board but usually around this time of the year mostly everyone on the outside is in the dark aside from the HC, GM and head of the scouting department..from what I understand they have their board something like this

Darnold, Rosen and Allen..with Mayfield making a late push for #3

If Rosen is there we will most likely go Rosen with #3. Our front office loves him but they also love 2 or three others as well.

If the Giants or you guys trade up and take Rosen, we most likely go Allen. Personally I want Rosen badly..but if the scenario does break where Rosen is gone..I want Mayfield..I don’t think Allen will put it together for the extremely high upside that he possesses. Think I’m beginning to be okay with who ever we go with at this point when at first I wanted nothing to do with any QB not named Rosen or Mayfield.

So Patriot Killa, don't you think it would be wonderful if the Jets were to draft an elite guard prospect like Quentin Nelson with that third overall pick?  It's good to build from the line out, don't you think?

Lol I see what you are trying to do there...? QB is first. But love Nelson as a prospect.

Of course I would prefer the Bills be the team to finally take down NE.  But if we can’t I hope someone in our division does soon.  Even if it’s you guys or the Dolphins.

Honestly think our two teams have the best shot. Dolphins are stuck as a middling team rather than an acsending one.  the more they commit to Tannehill, the more they will drag themselves down with those 7-9, 6-10 seasons.

Tannehill is not not the answer. So Bills/Jets definitely come away with the best chance to become contenders in this division. I would want nothing else but to stick it the Pats and their snobby fans. Those guys are a$sholss man lol.  Completely unenjoyable to be around and talk sports with.

What would make you happy between now and week 1?

What do you need to be in the playoffs come week 17?

That should help ya get started and a bit if a trial by the fire to see what you're going to add.

    Welcome either way.

Well for starters we absolutely need our franchise QB. That’s first..I think that Bowles and Macc’s future depends on picking the right guy. Seems like the trend we shifted towards in FA was younger players with upside...but we never addressed the TE position after letting ASJ walk..i’m thinking we should convert Quincy Enunwa back to TE/H-back and let him take those crossing routes over the middle. As big as he is and as fast as he is, he should draw great match ups for LB’s/Safeties.

O-line still needs to be beefed up. Got an alright Center in Spencer Long to go with our new Zone Blocking Scheme, wasn’t tooooo fond of the move but can understand it. He fits the scheme and he plays a little gaurd so he can pull well. Would of really liked Weston Richberg, but he got a ridiculously large contract from the 9ers.

Cornerback we should be set at with Trumanine Johnson who will fit Bowles man-press scheme well but I can’t help but feel like we could of done more...Honey Badger would of been an awesome flip move..cut Buster Skrine and flip his 6-7 million it frees up into that 1 year 7 million deal that Badger winded up getting from Houston. Would like to see us get better depth at the position though. Skrine played well towards the end of the season but it a penalty machjencans limited in what he can do on the field.

Running back..man..this is a position I really wished we could of upgrades better but I guess I can understand the thought process..Macc didn’t want to let us out in the cold for the position being that he knew he would have to trade up and couldn’t dedicate picks to the HB position..Crowell is a nice contract..barely any money guaranteed and it works.. but still hoping that they draft a young guy to take over after the eventual Bilal Powell cut..know that has to be looming next.

The draft will be a WILD ride indeed - Screw Brady and Welcome aboard.....

It really will be. If both the Jets and Bills get their franchise guy and we both rebuild correctly,  I imagine it’s going to be us that fight for the AFC East crown a lot..that’s going to be fun considering the two QB’s are coming from the same class. Anything but the Patriots! The Brady era is dying slow and painfully but it’s coming to an end soon.

He shows emotion? That’s new for me. I always seen the guy as someone who would the same stone cold stare even if he was climaxing LOL.

"Jets fan here, just coming to rub in trading for #3"

I was seriously scared you guys would jump ahead of us. I was saying back on the Jets forum. I almost was sure Maccagnan was going to just sit on his hands and let you guys move up.

Bills actually still do worry me because you guys have so much ammo to put something together with the Giants.

I’m a huge Rosen fan. Most of us are, but we acknowledge the fact that we might wind up having to pick from Mayfield and Allen if NYG decide that they love Rosen...they took him out to dinner so it’s got me down. But who knows ..so many different scenarios can go down.

    1 hour ago, BillsEnthusiast said:

So are you guys just kicking Hack to the curb or what

I hope so..and it seems like it with Teddy/McCown on the roster. Unless we try and stash him on the practice squad..tbh I don’t that though..it would be better for us just to let him go and find work elsewhere. It a shame that idiot Bowles never let him on the field, even in a lost season.

  17. Jets fan here. Not looking to troll or anything like that. Just genuinely enjoy talking football with other fan bases. Been following the site for awhile and look forward to chopping it up over some sports.

think we all can agree this draft is going to be crazy for the AFC Easts future.
