I have to chuckle at Austin Rivers cause I think Josh’s odds of coming off the bench in the nba are better then someone from the nba throwing 60 yard ropes as bills qb

This is pretty extreme. I love Josh, but I’m much more a fan of the jersey than I am any one player, so for me it doesn’t matter if Josh retires, is traded, benched, cut, whatever, I’ll always root for and watch the Bills until my time is up on this spinning rock. Can’t see it any other way.
I’m more Allen fan than a bills fan lately. Ive never particularly been a fan of McDermott or Beane so since they’ll be here for a long time I’ll probably just quietly go watch my wife’s team.

Like Jeremy White said I’ll just probably quit watching the Bills or football in general after Josh retires. Dude is just one of the most down to earth class guys in any sport.

Niners dont make you sweat? Interesting
Brock Purdy going to Buffalo not at all. I saw what Joe Burrow, Mahomes, Goff, and Love did to the vaunted niners defense. Allen will do the same

Beginning is ok…middle is rough…Love that schedule after the chiefs game other then Detroit no other team even makes me sweat in December
-
Bills have a couple 2s and a lot of depth at number 3 and 4. Im guessing we become more TE centric and Kincaid will be the number 1 receiver going forward
-
Aaron calls his own plays Hackett just gives him a concept he wants to run on a particular play.
Maybe the Jets realize he can’t do that either. -
Still boggles the mind that after Tua, Dak, and now Goff. Josh Allen will be the 13th highest paid QB in football with guys like Daniel Jones counting more against the cap this year.
Goff deserves it he’s not Josh no one not named Patrick is but he’s solid and it’s clear the Lions have about a 2 year Super Bowl window before that division gets to be a bear to get through.

Anyone know who they have throwing to the WRs in this minicamp?
Some people just don’t test well on paper in artificial conditions. Real life instincts/emotional intelligence matters more imho.
See CJ Stroud on his test. I doubt the Texans regret it even though Josh did have the highest score in his draft class.

That's a silly argument, because Diggs was clearly a first round talent when the trade was made. Davis is at worst a 2nd round talent at this point in his career. When the draft happens, guys are unknowns. After they've played in the league 4+ years, where they were drafted doesn't matter at all. You can either play or you can't.
We've got a ton of former 2nd round bums on this team now including Hamler, Claypool and Isabella. They aren't better than Gabe Davis just because they were drafted 2 rounds earlier.Yeh the same Diggs they just literally dumped with no replacement on the roster for a 2025 pick.

Please.
The fact that Diggs was drafted in the 5th completely ignores the fact that we spent a first on him. And he was worth it. Spending a first on a receiver is not putting receiver at a very low priority.
I’m just stating facts just cause he traded for 1 doesn’t mean that it was originally drafted as 1.

It works the other way too.
At the time he wasn’t on the active roster. Matter a fact he wasn’t on the active roster till the Steelers playoff game.

From 2013 - 2017, David Gettleman was the Panthers' GM. He was also Brandon Beane's boss. In 2018, Gettleman found his way back to the NY Giants, and was GM there until 2021. Going into the 2018 draft, both the Bills and the Giants needed a quarterback. Gettleman had the 2nd overall pick. He very easily could have used that pick on Josh Allen. Instead, he took Saquon Barkley, RB. Beane then traded up to 7th overall, and drafted Josh Allen.
The fact Beane and his former boss Gettleman acted so differently in the 2018 draft makes me wonder if the two had differing philosophies. While Beane had been an important part of the Panthers' front office, final decisions were made by Gettleman.
As for neglect of the WR position: Beane traded away a first round pick for Diggs, and he just used the 33rd overall pick on Coleman. Am I satisfied with where we are at WR? Not as much as you might think. But that doesn't necessarily mean he's philosophically opposed to using resources at receiver. I'm curious to see what kind of investment he decides to make or not make at that position, in next year's draft.
The Bills where the only team after Thanksgiving last year who where in playoff contention that did not have a receiver who was originally drafted before the 4th round. As Diggs was a 5 in Minny. In terms of priorities Beane puts receiver at a very low priority.

I look forward to Curtis Samuel having his best season of his career

Love that dig no pun intended at the end to see if Josh can raise the level of play of the people around him.
The guy made Gabe Davis a 50 million dollar free agent.
Years later there is still bitterness around this guy that other QBs just don’t get.
Not even Hurts, Tua, or Herbert gets blamed as much as Allen does for his teammates failures. -
I will say this his vision for the X receiver sure has changed he still has slot pretty well covered with Shakir and Samuels both are terrific after the catch.
Diggs for as great a receiver as he is was barely 6’0 180 lbs soaking wet.
What I do beleive is this means that Brady has plans to line Dalton out wide more than we think.
-
Look Patrick is a great QB there isnt much doubt this is more of a Chiefs issue their players seem to always step up and play their best when the team needs them the most.
The Bills have Allen but have yet to have another player step up and take over a game like the Chiefs players do when Patrick needs help and it gets frustrating. -
Claypool looked like the next great receiver in Pitt then got in Tomlins doghouse.
Goes to Chicago and just fell off the map.
Maybe it was the environment he was in the last couple years it’s definitely worth a go. -
Miami has had problems with teams that physically lineup and pound on them this doesn’t help with that.
Dolphins really haven’t moved the needle to me one way or another this off season they are the AFC Dallas Cowboys.
Can look flashy against poor teams…play a solid team and results usually go the other way.- 3

Now that the stadium is a done deal, I can see him selling and just focusing on the Sabres.
The Sabres are a dumpster fire. The Bills are one of the best run franchises in the sport. I don’t see him selling the Bills but I do see him getting out of hockey.

It’s very hard to know what to expect cause the bills just took a blow torch to their roster and are now replacing it with young cheaper talent. It had to be done at some point but geez.
I will say this if Josh has a similar year to last year without a number 1 receiver he’ll get his MVP. The stigma that Diggs made Josh will finally be gone from of these national media holdovers like Kay Adams and Steven A. Smith. So that’s good.
Teamwise I think Beane and McDermott will hang their hat on Allen being Superman again and they’ll win 11 or 12 games…playoff run though is uncertain.- 2

I just don’t see it the Ravens lost even more than Buffalo…everything else seems to lineup though.

I understand Chiefs and Niners even the Lions…I just don’t see where Baltimore is better

How is it cost controlled? The first contracts are cheap and pre structured.
Who has bee n chiefs best wr?
We aren’t the chiefs cause they have the greatest TE to ever play the game controlling the middle of the field making it a little easier for the Mercole Hardemon, Sky Moore, Samir Rice, and Marquez Valdez Scanlings of the world
Caleb Williams is off to a rough rookie start

I know he’s just getting used to the NFL but I always thought this talk of Caleb being this once in 5 year kinda talent was little off. Everytime I saw him go against a defense with a pulse in college he struggled. Hopefully that isn’t the case for the Bears sake.
