    I don’t believe Anderson goes in Rd2

He performed well at the senior bowl so it doesn’t matter what school we went to. He ran a 4.43 as a linebacker along with his other drills that he did exceptionally well in.

But is his 40 time is the only real reason he would go much higher than expected?

YES!! 4.23 officially ran at the combine.
That speed is rare and it shows on tape. Somebody believes they can coach em up.Late round four at the latest.

Yeah, there is no way he falls to the 6th or 7th.  I doubt he falls past the 3rd.  You never know with RB's, so maybe he shockingly falls to the 4th, but even that seems far fetched.  My guess he goes late 2nd or somewhere in the 3rd round.

I just don’t think he is worth it.that’s where I would take him. I don’t think he’s going to fall that far. He’s already coming in with injury concerns I’m definitely not taking him in a second not even the third.

A bunch of trade downs. Extra picks. Trade ups to get back into earlier rounds. ended up picking up an extra 2nd rounder next year as well. Love this draft.

    45. Breece Hall, RB Iowa State

    57. Jahan Dotson, WR Penn State

    76. Jalyn Armour-Davis, CB Alabama

    89. Daniel Faalele, OT Minnesota

    100. Troy Andersen, LB Montana State

    168. Thayer Munford, OG Ohio State

    185. Amare Barno, EDGE Virginia Tech

    203. Kalon Barnes, CB Baylor

    231. Bo Melton, WR Rutgers

    2023 BAL 2nd

Troy Anderson won’t be at 100. perfect RAS score, Kalon  Barnes ran sub 4.3 he won’t make it to 203 and Bo Melton has a RAS of above 9 he won’t make it. But I do like your mock a lot though.

I will add Treylon Burks to that...👍

I like Burks. what makes you hate him? I saw him just  out run SEC defenses. Drake London there is no separation in his highlight tapes I have no idea what people see in him. The other player that would make me throw the TV is Quay Walker I saw a mock (NFL.com) that had him coming to us. I like about five linebackers before him.

I've somewhat come around on the idea of drafting a running back either in the late 1st or early 2nd. I'd prefer it be in the 2nd, and I still don't think the value is particularly good compared to other positions.

That said, it can be reasonably argued that a dynamic running back helps the offense overall -- including the passing game -- more than a 1st round WR. Adding a dynamic, legitimate threat to the backfield for five seasons likely takes this offense up a notch because the Bills would truly be able to punish defenses for selling out to stop the pass. Singletary finished 2021 on a high note, but make no mistake, defensive coordinators aren't staying up at night trying to figure out how to stop him.

The thing that has me thinking this may be a reasonable pick is that, as others have pointed out, there may be a run on WRs and CBs in round 1. If it gets to pick 25, and you're choosing between the 6th best WR, 5th best CB, or a dynamic RB1...again, it can be reasonably argued that that dynamic RB helps your offense more than WR6 would, and maybe helps your team overall more than CB5 would.

Still not my top choice, but I'm not gonna throw my TV out the window if it happens.

Only throw the TV if it’s Drake London.

  6. I just don’t see very many dBs they can handle him deep from what I saw at the senior bowl was enough of the other routes to be a serious problem.Plus he is a excellent blocker. no injury concerns. On another note Troy Anderson is flying up my board I just think he reminds me of Brian Urlacher he just looks so explosive on tape and he ran a 4.43 at 6.4 I could see that being the pick at 25 as well.

I think DK was a significantly better prospect..........his massive, wide frame combined with that speed is a real tough cover for NFL DB's.........whereas they are used to defending narrow, angular types like Watson.

But I agree about the importance of the health aspect in the evaluation of Watson.   Watson has been healthy........which I think is a huge positive about him because it's often a struggle for receivers built like him.

Like, for example, the Isaiah Weston comps.  Sure he has some similar RAS numbers........but Weston was hurt A LOT.

Tall, narrow framed receivers who can't stay healthy are a dime a dozen.

I also like what I've heard from Watson........seems like a smart kid who is going to take coaching well and work hard to get better.   Not that DK had a bad attitude but he was probably a bit more complacent due to his extremely high pedigree.    I think the bigger thing with him was the concerns that his neck problem would end his career.

I just disagree that Metcalf is a significantly better prospect if you watch the senior bowl tape he was cooking dbs’s don’t matter what school they came from and it wasn’t vertical fly routes. There were a lot of bad throws so you have to have a keen eye. but when he did go deep all I could think was what if Josh Allen was throwing that. The quarterbacks in the senior bowl couldn’t even get it there he had to try to come back for both of them. Whether we draft him or not I think he is going to be a superstar and he can give you 1000+ Rookie year.

You might be right, but I’m not buying.  Allen gives this team a fighting chance every year for the next 7+ years.  I don’t want to throw that away for a low probability to win a SB this year.

The Rams don’t have picks and we still definitely would have more picks than them. So I don’t really think it’s throwing anything away. I just moved up in the draft a lot and got better projected players because honestly any player fourth round or later might not even make the team that’s just how good we are. Not saying players in the later rounds can’t but it’s a lot less likely and we just don’t really have the time to develop anybody right now on the field.  If Lewis chine is the next Poyer Breece hall  is the McKissic Etienne back Mcbeane has bean trying to find everything is good. Regardless if we win a Super Bowl or not but I feel that this would put us in the best position in our best year to see do it but Josh Allen gives you a chance every year for the next 7+

No thank you.  Don’t need to extend credit card debt for the next two years.

It would be terrible to have Josh Allen, not win next year and get progressively worse because we mortgaged those draft choices to go “all in” this year.

No matter how you slice it, you get to the playoffs and you are lucky to have a 60% chance to win each game against the playoff teams in the stacked AFC.  At best you get a first round bye and then have to win 3 straight against very good opponents.  At 60% win probability in each game, the chance to win SB is .6x.6x.6= 22% chance to win it all.  Now, factor in a major injury this year - do you want to go into ‘23 likely losing starting TE and starting MLB and not have first round picks for the next two years?  At that point, you might as well trade Allen for all that you can get, because you’ll have no cap space, lose major contributors and have no top draft picks.

I favor the long view - Allen is young and gives you a chance every year for the next 6-7 years if you put decent talent around him.

Troy Anderson is going to play the middle linebacker position and we still have picks 3-7 next year you can very easily find a day one starting TE in round 3 or 4. We really wouldn’t have any holes next year Lewis chine would steps right in for Poyer and can he play hybrid nickel. I understand we haven’t built a dynasty in  the modern age yet but we can’t keep everybody.Teams  pay top dollar for winning players. It is what it is. Poyer Knox and Edmunds are probably gone Oliver too depending on price. We probably will be able to keep one of those. A.J Epenesa highest trade value is probably going to be now because he’s probably not going to get enough minutes. Between Edmonds and Epenesa the capspace  shed would balance out. Could still go get a veteran corner.

Kinda have to take a CB first. I would love a WR tho. But CB falls off so bad after the first 4 guys.

I don’t believe that at all Tariq Woolen finished with a perfect RAS score and great senior bowl. I love Jalen Pitre  straight playmaker. Kalon Barnes legit 4.2 speed we could use him against Miami. Lastly I don’t think booth is a 1 round lock he has injury concerns. He could go as late as the middle of the second.

Hasn't Gilmore always been a longshot to re-sign? It's possible, but certainly doesn't seem likely, IMO.

The Diggs contract probably plays a very small part in this, if any. But the Bills might have more cap space now.

I think the only way Gilmore comes to the Bills is if Gilmore agrees to take less than he could make elsewhere. Seems like a longshot to me. But who knows?

I just don’t think we have to pay him less we still have a couple more restructures we can do and I think we just cleared up about 10 million in Cap Space so if he really wants to come and not just using us for money leverage I honestly think we offer the best opportunity.

  13. This is our championship window it is time to stack the deck before contracts and age break this team apart. We are not in the conversation  of best weapon groups when I talk to people, and I agree  we need more speed Watson/Williams/Burk and breece hall/Kenneth Walker/James Cook

I want two big time potential play makers early in the draft. I hope we trade up this year too and go all-in.

Its not about the Bills, its what he specifically said about Davis.  And he gushed about Davis in multiple segments.  I don't know why you aren't sold on Davis, he has produced when called upon and seems poised for a breakout.

Either way, this obsessive need by some people to take a WR first round is puzzling to me.  Most the best WR's in the game now and many in the past were not first round picks.  I mean, lets make a list of arguably the top 10 in no particular order:

    • Adams
    • Diggs
    • Hill
    • AJ Brown
    • Deebo
    • Kupp
    • Hopkins
    • Jefferson
    • Chase
    • Metcalf

Only 3 of them were first round picks.  Then you have lots of other guys too after that like Lockett, McLaurin, Keenan Allen, etc.

So I wouldn't get your hopes up, I will say its highly unlikely we take a WR in the first round, nor do we need to.  While you are worried about who is going to give Diggs and Davis breaks, we literally don't have enough corners to start week 1 on the roster.  And lets say we get lucky and Tre is available to start week 1, its going to take a while before he finds his form again.

And in the loaded AFC, we are going to need more speed and depth at CB.  Not to mention all the speed we have to contend with just in our division now with the likes of the Dolphins who might have the fastest offense in the NFL now.

The bills are in a unique position we really don’t have any holes. if we land Gilmore or Haden those two will probably perform better than any rookie corner. With this unique position that the bills are in I think you take the best playmaker available in the first as long as the grade matches. I watch Metcalf and Claypool pass us and I thought they were worth the picks I don’t want to see it happen again with Watson. If we got McDuffe or boothe I wouldn’t be mad at all. The only player that would piss me off is Drake London in the first round. But I was still trust the GM saw something I didn’t see.
