  1. I usually almost puke every offseason when we have a QB competition. It's been the code words for saying "still in QB purgatory". When McD said it would be an open comp for every spot last year, I knew the first year coach wasn't looking for a real  comp at QB. However, this is the first time I can't wait for one! Looking forward to going to camp a few more days than usual to watch it.

Without knowing who the rookie will be, and guessing they give Nate (on paper) a shot, it's going to be interesting. I haven't been a fan of Baker simply because of my bias towards wanting a traditional taller pocket guy, but I think his personality would make this comp very exciting.

We are finally headed in the right direction behind center (speaking of center...no...not gonna hjack my own thread). AJ vs ________ vs Nate. Can AJ prove he's the guy who started a few in 2015? Can the rookie prove to be undeniably a day 1 starter? Can Nate even make the team? Can't wait!

Would people really be happy with ~180 yards passing? Thats what he averaged in his 3 starts.

Cliché answer - if they win. The idea of what he was supposed to be here could be realized there with a competent offensive mind AND the supporting cast he needs. I'm no TT fan, but I think when he has all the pieces and is used correctly, he's a weapon. The key statement - IF he has all the pieces. I was never sold on him here because I quickly realized he can't carry a team. He just plays his role.

My guess is Barkley #1 and one of the big 3 QBs at #4. Undergo their version of a TT experiment and pull the plug if it doesn't come together.

  3. If AJ can be that guy he showed in his few starts, AJ all day. That guy on this team would blow our minds and make it hard for the coaches to make the transition to the rookie. That said, I think TT will be a great fit for Cleveland. I think Hue will know how to get the most out of him, not trying to squeeze him into a pocket guy. Draft Barkley 1st overall and have the nastiest backfield (Barkley/Hyde/TT) in the league.

  4. I could see them taking Barkley. Hue will use TT correctly. With a running threat of Barkley, Hyde, and TT, Landry and Gordon are going to be running free. TT is far from a pocket guy and Hue can draw up a scheme that gets the most from him. Can't stack box. Can't drop back too far. Barkley #1 all day.

  5. I like the signing. It's not throwing the bank at him. If he can be 80% of his former self, that's a great #2 corner. If not, it was worth a shot. And it doesn't hurt to have a vet teach White a few more things.
