  1. Disclaimer to those who didn't follow along last time and are hoping this is legit:

    1. The OP will eventually get upset at all the "hate" and threaten to shut down "his/their" post. He/they will say "This is my last post"

    2. The OP will return within hours as if the original threat was never spoken

    3. As details change, the OP will conveniently provide reasons for them. Everything from the source wasn't confirmed by 2 people as is his/their standard, or sometimes because it was all a ploy to distract people while he/they are accomplishing world changing goals

    4. As the number of "believers" dwindle due to the upcoming list of discrepancies sure to follow, a faithful few will fan the flame to allow this thread to exist

    5. Eventually, a mod will step in and shut it down. Might not be till the draft since we won't have much else to talk about till then.

  2. Okay, so I had to google Kubiak to see if there's even a hint of this being possible. Sure enough there is a story in Nov saying he may be open to the idea of being an OC per his former assistants. Then I saw who wrote the article. La Canfora. Knew it was too good to be true.

I really like the Saints.  It appears their D has flushed the memory of Rob Ryan and is rough and tough once more.

I would love to see the Steelers beat NE, but I think their O is gonna get banged up facing the Jags D and be easy pickin's for NE.

My preferred Superbowl would be Steelers-Saints.  I just think that would be a great game.

Steelers could beat them, but yeah, those Cheats just always pull through at home. That's why I think NO is our only hope. They might have an all Dome road...dome in Minny, unless Foles pulls out a miracle, back to their dome vs Atl, and then back to Minny for a dome SB. Brees is in his glory!

  4. Smith isn't a guy who can carry a team like the elites but he's good enough if you surround him with talent. Mobile enough if the OL has struggles. I'm not 100% thrilled at the idea, but looking at all the options and all our immediate needs, I'm all for rolling with Smith and drafting a potential guy behind him and filling in all our needs like RT, getting a pass rush, a dominant MLB, etc.

I'm with you on the Saints, or maybe redemption for the Falcons?. The Falcons looked surprisingly good on Saturday night. I cannot see anyone stopping the Pats before the SB. The only possible way NE loses is to the Steelers and that wont happen at home.  But yes anyone but NE.

I'm with you on Atlanta as well. They looked like a complete team on Saturday. I'm not sold on Minny. Storybook season for Keenum but not counting on him getting it done to go all the way. Admittedly, I'm biased towards Brees getting another one. Not that his legacy is in question, it would just be nice for the guy to get a 2nd ring to cap off his HOF career.

This was my mantra when watching games and hoping he would somehow pull us through on his arm. I would calm down, sit on the floor, and chant as I remembered...

  7. As painful as yesterday's loss still is, it was nice to actually root for our own guys before making this inevitable shift to "anyone but NE". Going forward, who are you rooting for? I'm all in with the Saints. Yes, they squeaked by yesterday, but overall, I think they present the most realistic shot at beating the Cheats - matchup wise. Their early loss to NE was while they still tried the AP experiment...totally different team since then. From this point till the SB...go Saints!

    Meh.   They shoulda lost yesterday.

Gano missing chip shot fg cost them

    the game.

I hear ya, but just thinking of things in terms of match ups. Yes, NE beat NO earlier this year, but that was before NO went on a roll...after they gave up on the AP experiment and discovered their 2 headed monster in their backfield. Now that our team is out, it shifts to "Anyone but NE", and again, I think NO has the best shot at making that happen.

Too bad we don't have a shot at playoff game winning OC Nate Hackett. JK. Just wanted to type that out. Ugh....can't believe that is now a part of NFL history.

If it makes you feel better, their offense struggled almost as mightily as ours.

That's why I said "JK". I'm poking fun at the idea that a guy like him now has "playoff win" under his credentials.

I'm actually worried about the dude. He took two or three other brutal shots to the head today that I was certain were going to end his day.  Brain injuries can be cumulative and I wouldn't be surprised if he was feeling the effects of today for quite awhile into the off-season.

I honestly think he was playing with at least a mild concussion since that hit to the head earlier in the game. That last head slam was just the KO blow.

I doubt it.  Denison still makes the same dunb play calls even with a better QB.  Its fine with me if they can TT, just replace him with someone better (who do you want?) and also get an OC who makes obvious calls like on the first and goal.  Given Tyrod is so bbad what do you think of him relying on TT to pass at the end of the half?

Seriously, you have a gift. One could easily get sucked in to debate these rabbit trail points. But the real point is McBeane won't be consulting Shady for his QB opinion and we were a halfway decent QB away from still playing next week. Great try though. Very tempting stuff.
