  1. This is on Dorsey more than Allen. He needs to hold him back. You are up 17-0 don't press more, play the run and take what the defense gives you. I was expecting more long sustained drives not hero balls all the time. I found myself screaming at the TV to run the ball multiple times but they passed instead.

There is something true about running until it works. Some times it takes a while to get a good run and you have to fail a couple of times but once it works it makes the other team tired and it takes a load of your QB shoulders.

Tasker's daughter got married in Alaska the weekend of the Washington game. I would imagine that's the reason for his absence.

Annie Tasker lives here in Anchorage.

One time I was walking into the local Lululemon with my wife and I was wearing a bills hoodie and cap then one of the employees came to me and ask me if I knew who Steve Tasker is and I told her of course I know Steve Tasker! Then she tells me that his daughter is the manager, she calls her and comes over to chat about the bills and the fact that she lives here. She told me Steve has been here a few times. She was so down to earth and very happy to see a bills fan (there are not many of us here, mostly seachickens fans).

Got same email a couple of days ago. Called Directv and its true. I got it for FREE too.

  4. Happy we swept the Pats. This team is making me feel like the 90's where we could beat anyone.

Honestly last few weeks since the Broncos game has been like blah at least to me. These are games that we are supposed to win and we are doing so and I am happy about that. I am still not over that loss against the Texans. I am enjoying this season but I feel like it doesn't matter until we win a playoff game. That's what I am looking forward to.

Both catches would have been amazing because the coverage was there. Neither receiver was actually open and both passes were defended by Chiefs DBs. The Brown pass was actually broken up.

Nope. Diggs dropped the pass. Look at the pics below. It should've been a TD and the bills would've been up 10-7 in the 2nd qtr. The one to Brown was well defended by the DB.

That's what I've been saying. Two long bombs right on the money, one deflected by the DB in a great play, the other right through Diggs' arms. In neither case did Aikman have much to say beyond praising Allen's arm strength. What about his accuracy?!

Are you talking about this one? Yep it was on Diggs all the way.

So lets say the fumble was a fumble and we get it.  Drive down and win the game.  Again, thinking hypothetically and I know it didn't happen.

Would you still feel happy about the win or would you still have deep concerns about our defense getting gashed all night?  Plus, with the inconsistencies on offense two weeks in a row.

Would the win feel flukish to you?

Dude forget about the fumble. The Diggs drop in the endzone and Bass missed FG would've been enough.

Disagree on point 2. the defense sucked. Mahomes and co. realized that early on. Gobbling 7/8'yards a pop on the ground.

The Chiefs had zero incentve too power up their point scoring machine. They had the game early on. regardless of what the scoreboard said.

I agree with you 1000% to me it looked like the chiefs weren't even trying to go 100% maybe they played to the 70-80% of their capacity. Our defense was absolute *****

Lost to the Super Bowl champs that people talked about going 16-0 this year....FIRE EVERYONE!

Dude this season stinks like the ones we started 5-2 and 4-0 only to finish 8-8 or worse and out of the playoffs. Team did almost nothing today on both sides of the ball

    Yep.  There’s western NY’ers everywhere!

I’ve been to about 40 home games starting with the 1993 season, but never a road game.  Hope to change that one of these days.

Not all of us Bills fans are from Western NY you know. As a matter of fact I have never been nearly close to NY. ***** I went to see the Bills in Oakland a few years back. That was my first Bills game.

It's actually kind of shocking.   We've spent years and years waiting for a competent football team, one that has the talent to make plays and the determination to do the little things right, and here we are, watching it happen.  When's the last time we heard about the Bills make a big-time adjustment followed by a big-time play?

Since around 20 to 25 years ago (Marv Levy) or maybe never. Gosh we've had bad teams. I hope they win tomorrow and they keep improving.

Yeah, I thought of that when I saw this thread.

So, putting together what you said and what this report said and what Allen said, Allen and Brown must have practiced just a straight double move during the week.   Allen said in his post game interview that he and Brown ran it about 10 times.   So during the game, Brown recognized what he recognized and they decided to run the play action with the in-cut look followed by the cut to go deep.   Pretty cool that they put it together on the sideline.

And Troutdog says Brown said Monday that they have been practicing that play.  So who knows?

Well I heard John Brown's locker room interview right after the game and that's how I found out about the adjustment. I didn't watch Josh Allen's post game presser so when you said Josh said that I didn't know he mentioned it. Maybe like you say the have been practicing the double move route but they didn't implement it on a play. Smoke saw Harris jumping the slant and they decided to adjust on the fly.

Which is pretty refreshing since in the past we didn't have good coaches that will make in game adjustments.

What did I like?  The Bills ran a lot of no huddle – not hurry up, just no huddle, which meant Allen was calling plays at the line of scrimmage.  He handled those duties calmly, completely in control.  He made only two really bad throws – the interception and a possible INT along the left sideline.  Apparently, he misread the defense on the interception; he didn’t see and didn’t expect the safety to be back there.  I suspect a receiver read it correctly and cut off his route.  I think Allen probably threw it to the spot where the receiver would have been if the Broncos had been in the defense Allen thought he saw.  The result was an amazingly ugly throw.   But Allen’s good throws way outweighed the mistakes.  He hung in the pocket nicely and found Beasley for the first touchdown, he read the defense and found Brown for the second, both beautiful throws.  He consistently hit crossing routes to all of his receivers.  He’s fearless in the pocket – on the Beasley TD he was a split second late in deciding to throw it, and he was hit just as the ball left his hand, but he didn’t get happy feet.  He stood his ground and made the throw.

First of all thank you for your reviews I have been a fan since the BBMM and I look for it every week.

Did you know that Browns TD catch was actually an adjustment due to smoke telling his coaches that Harris was constantly jumping the slants? He said that in an interview. He told coaches about it and they adjusted to make a double move on a go route that's why on that play Allen pumps the ball twice trying to make Harris move.

  13. Thanks for the review, always great.

Good observation on the mid-season slump. I was concerned about the Dolphins game as you mention it above but I thought we were going to be fine. Boy I was wrong.

I don't know why but I have memories of the 2008 season. We started 5-1 and ended 7-9 wining only 3 more games. I hope this is not the case.

  14. 1st of all that was not an interception. He didn't fully controlled the ball, not even when he landed out of bounds just a little after.

The Zay hate is real. look at this below and make a decision after. The guy was open a lot and JA didn't look his way. Also on the interception everyone is mentioning Knox is running a route behind Zay and some think he was the target not Zay.

This is not an offense that is going to overpower teams.   It needs some more talent worked into the lineup before it can do that.   But it's an offense that can perform and be part of a winning team.   Last season, the team couldn't win because the offense was so weak.  That isn't the case this season.

I agree with you. I was just expressing my point of view about the offense. They played OK and they still scored 28 points. There is a lot of room for improvement. It worries me that the offense will not be as good against an OK or good defense but we will see time will tell.

    Thanks for the review.

I didn't like the offense in general. I think they all played OK. Still got the W though.

OL allowed 3 sacks. Giants defense was nothing to be impressed about.

Allen got a fumble. But we were REALLY lucky the ref blew the whistle, otherwise it would've been a touchdown and the score 21-14 that's an entirely different ball game.

a few false starts and other dumb penalties.

I am very cautions about the 2-0 start. In 2008 Trent Edwards started the season 5-1 and the rest of the season they went 2-8. Don't get me wrong I am happy because I am seeing improvements specially from the offense but it doesn't matter how you start you have to be consistent and finish strong. Hopefully this team will do it.
