Playing QB in the NFL is an earned privilege, not a right. Most of the people I interact with on a daily basis are not NFL quarterbacks () and they seem to be doing just fine.

This is what this season has become, fantasizing about a meaningless win in a meaningless 2003 season. Ugh!
Has to be better than reality.

Maybe you should check with him. Oh, wait; never mind.

Jacksonville nearly went to the Super Bowl with a much worse QB. Your point is invalid
True. And look at them now.

I get what you are saying and I thought the same until this season started but this is the worst team Buffalo has had in almost 2 decades. Somone needs to be fired and held accountable for this season, lets see who that will be. Dabol for one is done in Buffalo after this season.
I doubt Daboll is going anywhere. They're gonna write this year off as a lack of offensive talent. If they struggle on O again next year then that's a different story.

We'd have either Josh Rosen or Patrick Mahomes if I was the boss.
Why not both?

No, because you're an idiot. But you should know that by know.
1. Fire McDumbass and Beane
2. Fly to Ann Arbor, Michigan
3. Give Jim Harbaugh whatever he wants
4. Enjoy whiskey
I have a better plan. Combine steps 2 and 3. Then it's only a 3 step plan. Wayyyyyyyyyyy easier.

I would punt on first down or throw the Hail Mary every play. Statistically they couldn't do much worse.
I think the punt on first down idea is better. Peterman didn't know enough to throw the Hail Mary on the last play of the first half.

1. Bench Peterman he just isn’t that good.
This is outrageous statement. I hope you have some stats to back up your opinion.

Haley will be OK. With that beard he has an excellent chance at a department store Santa gig. Timing is everything in life.

I was watching channel 2 news this morning and Adam Benini and Vic Carrucci were saying that with the way this team is playing that McDermott JUST HAS TO BE on the hot seat. Then they bemoan how bad they played against the Colts and it's just unacceptable for the defense to give up all those points to the 1-5 colts.
Maybe they forgot how critical turnovers are (from the offense) to getting blown out. Guess they forgot how we demolished the Vikings at home and that a superior team can get their butts handed to them by a lesser team.
What I find sad is these clowns can't see the long game that is going on here and that this offseason is going to be used to finish most of the rebuild that is taking place.
McDermott is going nowhere.
This is a good post and I couldn't agree more with what you've said. I gave you the laughing face reaction just so you could hit for the cycle!

would we be better off if he did??
I think not. This season's team has less talent and a few scrub team wins wouldn't prove a thing.
Was PUNT749 taken?

I'm watching every Bills game. I don't give a f#ck anymore.
I'd rather the Bills be 3 - 13 and make teams earn every point, other than watching them surrender.
Screw our QBs if they can't go. Hand it and lateral it off to WRs.
If we are going out losing we might as well treat ourselves to the most unorthodox gameplay.
If you think this thread sucks you can bite me, those entitled
Draft picks haven't meant I thing for the past 20 years and they won't matter next year.
Let's win right now with the heart, soul and outside forces we have.
All of our accumulated draft picks this season won't mean squat if our FO wastes them on a buncha religious choir boys.
If being a fan of this team is too hard for you then you should quit.

Only 3 more career starts.
CJ (1-7) has only 3 more career starts than Allen (2-3) and 1 less career win.

Did you see the Yahoo sports article on Peterman titled "Are we witnessing the worst Quarterback in NFL history"?
-
The thing that has worried me the most so far with Allen is his lack of accuracy on short passes. That being said his throws on crossing routes have been mostly very accurate and a few have been amazing. I'd like to see him throw a deep ball within 5 yards of a receiver but I haven't seen too many if any close calls on deep balls.

Why fight so hard to finish 8-8?

They threw on first down twice on the first drive alone and at least 5 times throughout the game.
Not a ton probably 35% of the time or so they throw on first down, but way more than once.
This is correct. A quick check of the play-by-play confirms 5 first down pass attempts (20 first down rushes).
-
I can only remember 1 occasion last week that the Bills threw on 1st down (I could be wrong).
Hopefully something play-action.

Lol stop thinking about money it means nothing. This 8s the dumbest way to look at it. There is a reason the other RBs are making less money... they aren't as good.
Production means everything. Money follows production and when production stops so does the money.

If we get offered anything better than a 3rd round pick we should take the deal and run like the wind.
Shady hasnt been good. He’s making too much. I’d rather have Ivory and Murphy at RB than Shady. They run with more purpose. Always running forward. Shady is always bouncing around looking for the Homerun and it costs him those 2-4 yards that Ivory gets by simply running north and south.
Agreed. When you consider Murphy and Ivory are making 3.1 mil combined compared to McCoy at 8.9 mil the contrast is stark.

His production-to-salary ratio is great, so as long as he's not going to pull a Le'veon Bell next year, they shouldn't trade him without extraordinary compensation.
The Bills are not going to get extraordinary compensation for McCoy. When you couple the NFL's declining value it puts on RB's with Shady's declining output and age it makes no sense for a team to overpay.
3-7 and staying optimistic
