I don't even hate TT. The main reason I want him gone though is because the constant obsession of people talking about him/bashing him.

    It's gotten very tiresome.

No offence to you OP as I am not making it about you, just in general about people talking about Tyrod

Because he is sorry and you seem to always back him

So in a way by saying "Tyrod is who he is" you are kind of proving my point.  Your point about the front office very valid.   If they weren't going to design an offense around him, they probably should have turned the page.

This wasn't a move defending Peterman.  I don't think he's the answer.  I'm just saying, Tyrod has been very ineffective.  The decision to consider starting another QB isn't as absurd as some made it out to be.

Why do you think it got worn down?

I just can't believe we brought him back in the first place after last year. My opinion is that we let go of so much talent but stayed with TT and blamed everyone else. Last year the team would have not look as bad if it was not for TT having miserable games then blame all the defense. There were games that if we could only extend drives we should have won. I mean in this league a team needs it sometimes. A QB that can bring them back. Then for some reason the D starts to perform better when a QB can rally.

I  still do not understand the reason the gave up on Cardale so quickly because of TT and Yates? What tapes were they watching. Why let go of a project when the position was not settled? So people just mess things up stupidly. Yates just could not play and was a veteran. TT was still sorry. The bills let go of an entire coaching staff ,GM and front office but left TT to the rescue. I think he has gotten a lot of people fired because of his overrated stats.

The Red Zone pick and the rest of the game ineptness of the passing game with TT in there is all about Dennison's refusal to move the pocket or roll TT out. 1st and goal from the 7 is the exact place one wants to be with TT's talent - rolling him upon the snap, he can:

    - run to the pylon

    - run it in

    - throw it on the run - either direction - throws exceptionally well across or against his body

    - option pitch it

Instead, he stood there - as designed - and got an OL pushed into him in the act of throwing - Red Zone pick.

Never rolled him after that - and note that the Bills made it to 1st and goal from the 7 by rolling him ....

    Dennison appears allergic to success.

Awful, awful offensive game plan today.

Yes, your right but TT is still sorry. You are just trying to help him by blaming Dennison. I said it since the dealt away Cardale. TT is just not good enough to play QB in this league.

You could tell before the season even started that McD seemed very reluctant about playing TT.  And so far he's paying the price for both TT & Dennison. Both have to go this January.  We have to improve this oline at all costs. We have to replace some of these scrub wr's. Shady might have 1 good year left before diminishing returns. We need to draft that franchise QB at the same time Brady retires.

Good he should not have given up on Cardale that is bad carma.

I turned the game off at the end of the 3rd quarter so I hadn’t see Peterman’s passes. I came away from this video very impressed.

I know, I know. It’s garbage time, some of the Saints backups were on the field, they didn’t game plan for Peterman, etc. Say what you will, he makes good quick decisions and he is mostly accurate. His first drive would have kept going if Benjamin doesn’t drop the ball on 3rd down or if Dennison remembers you can pass the ball on 4th and short. His 2nd drive is an impressive looking TD drive where even the incompletion to Thompson shows promise (good pre-snap read and a quick throw that he just misses with Thompson getting mugged).

I think Tyrod goes to a different team next season that is willing to design an offense around his skill set. If this is the offense we are going to run, Peterman seems to fit it better. If the pass game looks bad against the Chargers I don’t see any reason he shouldn’t get a shot.

Remember when you thought I was crazy this spring. Ain't I a genius? People thought bad of Cardale for this.

  5. No but, I know that Ohio State will not win a national championship with two losses. ( Changing the subject ) For all the Cardale Jones haters specially you know who. They can not win one without CJ. Barret had three years as a starter and Choked with 4 picks on a blow out loss. Therefore, FFFacial to whoever was hating on CJ. No Champs without Cardale.

  6. Frankly I think he has a point

Take a look at Tyrod's history....before he was even drafted people were trying to move him to wide receiver and away from quarterback because of his exceptional athletisism

QBs that you never heard of and are out of the league were taken in front of him.....he stuck to his guns and here he is

Say what you want about how good of a qb he actually is.....I respect the hell out of him

he is an 8-8 QB. About it he does not have that thrive in him to win games when it in the line. No sense of urgency. Pretty much coaches are in love with him. They like those standards.
  7. I'd only we had a topic already discussing this or at least a member willing to search the first page not far down to see this very subject.

Please, as a courtesy try harder.

  8. As painful as it was, I decided to watch the coaches film to see what happened on Sunday and if it is fixable.

As much as I'd like to call for Rico's head, his play calling was not that awful. The execution was. This team was just out of sync since the first play. Do you blame it on the coaches for not having the team ready or is this the end result of two consecutive road games and an emotional let down after taking the Atlanta game.

And the Buffalo news about Shady losing a step is bull ****. The O-Line and FB's were constantly missing blocks or not picking up a stunt or blitz properly.

DiMarco looked bad. He failed to pick up linebackers on a few carries and wide open holes for Shady collapsed quickly. There were lanes to run, but either someone on the line missed an assignment or for some stupid reason they would double up on a man and leave another running free. Everyone just seemed confused on plays.

Tyrod had a bad day. I credit the Bengals line for doing something I hadn't seen done and that is to keep turning TT back to the middle of the field. Usually when pressure comes, Tyrod gets out to the perimeter and is a threat to run or throw. For some reason he kept turning back into the pocket and trying to step up where he would get swallowed by an eventual meltdown by a lineman who couldn't hold the block any longer.

The whole O-line looked bad and out of sync. I'd want to call Ducasse out as the single reason for meltdowns but he had help. Even Richie was losing his blocks in the passing game.

Tyrod never got into any sort of rhythm with the offense and he does not have the confidence to throw it into tight windows.

When people complain that our receivers are not getting separation, I started questioning how bad they were, but the truth was that although not wide wide open, they often had a step or two on the defense. A good quarterback finds that and makes the play.

Watching the Cowboys-Packers and even the Bears-Vikings, I saw QB's throwing to receivers who were not any more open than ours and they were making plays. Rodgers always challenges the secondary. He let's his receivers make the play. Ours never even get a chance.

Even when they are open and in space, TT was throwing low or behind so they didn't even have a chance for YAC.

I think we can turn this around with our present players, although it would be nice to add a WR that can make plays and contested catches. The main thing we need to do is execute the play and draw up some more plays to keep Tyrod moving out of the pocket.

TT needs to be a threat to take off at anytime and once he runs for 3-4 plays of 10-15 yards or more, defenses will have to adjust and the run game and lanes will open up. Our players also need more awareness of what the defense is doing. It seems that guys do not make adjustments when a play called is not working. Watching DiMarco run off to make a block on a lineman when a linebacker is flying toward Shady is just stupid. He has to be aware of what is happening.

More than a few times I saw Richie standing in the middle of the field not blocking anyone because no one was rushing through him. Meanwhile two guys bull over Wood and collapse the pocket. Richie has to be aware and adjust. This is a team game and if the offense can gel as a team, I think they will find a way to make it into the playoffs.

On defense, outside of AJ Green going wild, we seemed okay. The pass rush vs the Bengals was not effective and it let Dalton have a bit too much time to find AJ. I really wish Dareus would get motivated. With a healthy Shaq and Gaines back, our D could be special.

I'm anxious to see what the coaches feel after reviewing the tape. They must feel that a lot of this is fixable. I wonder if Beane will sack up and make a trade. I wouldn't mind seeing another RB and WR and even G/T come in.

    Go Bills.

excellent break down except Bench TT. Defense will adjust to his running and make him pass. Which he cannot do. The tapes don't lie. He is not difficult to prepare for or defend. We are in the NFL. Once again, if he keeps starting get ready to suffer. With no playoffs. I really have lost hopes two years ago.
  9. You cant blame this all on TT. How can you complete passes when no one is getting open, or passes are being droppped. TT has his flaws but by no means is this all on him.

Right, 90% is on him. This happened last year and the year before. It seems like everything has to be perfect so TT could help us win. You might as well just not play. Andy Dalton threw 2 picks and still threw for 300 and won the game. What top receiver does Seattle have? Fact is it is not always perfect. TT just can't hang and is making everyone look bad. Doing his job is to throw the ball and worry about getting rid of the ball not " I have no receivers". The receivers could just say I don't have a good QB.
  10. I understand the plan has been to build for the future but in the present tense, I feel they have sold the team short when it comes to options on offense. Believing you'll be alright heading into a game with four very average receivers isn't doing all you can do to put the team in a position to win. We understand this year is all about the growing pains and rearranging things for the future but in the meantime, they've got a defense that's talented enough to produce some wins and it's short-sighted on their part not to try to put some talented guys around Taylor. They talk about the process, process this, process that, part of that process is doing all you can to put your team in the best position to win. Their willful neglect of the receiver position is a failing part of their process right now. They need to fix it.

Quit putting it all on the receivers. TT may not have the best talent around him but that is not an excuse to play sorry. He still can throw the ball instead of holding it for 10 min. We couldn't get in the end zone at the end of the game with plenty of chances. This is exactly why Whaley did not want to resign him. This was all McD. Only if our QB be a better passer we can get away with these recievers. Probably be more competitive on offense.
  11. Tyrod doesnt suck, hes average. I see your point tho, I just dont think hes done enough to warrant a benching yet. He only has 2 picks on the year. This team is still 3-2 with a lot of games left.

that's what they say every year.

Tyrod has 1 int in 5 games.

A switch to Peterman will be far worse when it comes to turn overs. How people don't realize that amazes me.

so Dalton had two pick s and still threw for 300 plus and won.
  12.

He's not played well for most of the season and without the defense playing over their heads we are probably 1-4 right now.

Taylor is a finished product and will be the reason this team doesn't make the playoffs assuming the defense keeps up but don't think that happens either because despite the turnovers they were lit up today.

budy they are humans they get tired. For two, this is the NFL. They got lid up after forcing three turnovers and almost a fourth. What do you expect from a three and out the whole game. It gets any defense tired. A turnover with good field position means TD. Not settle for three all the time mostly.

    Ya think( sarcasm)

TT lovers and Playoff jonesers will continue to swear he is the only play. Beat them over the head, show them the evidence, lose games to one win teams.... doesn't matter.

" look at the stats" they say. " No receivers " they say.

The OP is correct in his assessment of our playoff chances. TT is playing .500 football which doesn't get us a good draft pick or a playoff spot.

That's absolutely right. We should of gotten rid of him if you ask me.
