I've never seen a safety (or any player for that matter) get a clean hit on him or his knee. I have, however seen him break many safety's knees with his vicious jukes. Would you rather see a non-running quarterback get destroyed in the pocket? Because that's much more likely in your hypothetical.

Because the majority of the safeties and defensive backs he went against in his career absolutely sucked.  When he gets to the NFL, they'll be 10 times better and they'll be bigger, stronger and faster as well.

  2. John Murphy: 3rd down and long.  Lamar Jackson in the shotgun (because that's all he knew in Petrino's offense).  Here's the snap.  Pressure coming right away up the middle and Jackson will take off.  He's at the 30, the 35, the 40 trying to get out of bounds and OH!  Jackson took a vicious hit to the knee from the safety and he is down!

Great and another year with ZERO answer at QB. Yippie.

Don't worry.  They'll take Mike White at 53 and he'll be the next Derek Carr. <sarcasm> Or, they'll take Kyle Lauletta at 53 and he'll be the next Garoppolo <heavy sarcasm as well>

Now you're referencing Tyrod at QB!! Think more of the pass Lamar threw against UNC

Ok.  Good luck trying to make that throw in the NFL, when you have a legitimate corner (or safety) coming on a blitz and DJ Chark is covered by someone who is actually GOOD.

If The Bills are staying at 12 and there choice is between Rudolph or Rosen, I predict the Bills will select Rudolph. I’m praying the Jets take Rosen. Rosen does not fit the Bills or this towns culture, nor does he seem to fit the Process that Coach McD has instituted on this team. I also think that Rosen will be the biggest bust at QB in this draft. I have him rated outside the top 8 and in my opinion he will be that QB that drops in this draft. The TV networks will keep showing him in the green room with all the game day pundits on TV savaging him and us TV viewers with stories of why he’s dropping. To me he has the most red flags and problems. Also I will have to question weather I want to support him as a Bills QB if he were to get drafted by the Bills. My opinion is the Bills are targeting Josh Allen and Mason Rudolph. If they trade up to the 6th pick with the colts I can see them getting Josh Allen. This would have to be done on draft day after the Broncos pick. So the way I see this playing out is Darnold to the Browns, Chubb to NYG, Baker Mayfield to the Jets then Barkley to the Browns. Then you have Den, who knows what will happen there. Then at 6 if we trade up with the Colts we get to select the number 1 QB on the Bills draft board Josh Allen. The other way this works out is the Bills trade up to 4. Then trade 4 to the NYG to get to the 2nd pick and take Josh Allen at #2. In my opinion Allen is the target for Bean with Rudolph as his fall back position for QB at 12. As far as Rosen this guy is going to be the biggest bust of the draft QB class. The more I listen to him talk and see what his team mates had to say about him the less I like him. He is skinny and injury prone. If anyone has watched the Movie Draft day

Rosen is this drafts Bo Callahan or a real life Johnny Manziel.

Prediction: you will never be a professional scout for an NFL team.

i agree with this. i mean, if you are in a position where you can't trade up to get your guy, and there is nobody left at 12 you like, just take the guy at 22 and roll the dice. don't get cute. if you like him, take him. if he turns into something, great. if he sucks...you didn't trade 9 picks for him and you can try again very soon.

and as far as the laulettulelei...now that's just plain fun!

If he sucks, it's another wasted pick and you're stuck in QB purgatory for the next 5 years.  You want to go through that?

Folks SHOULD care about the cost.  None of Darnold, Rosen or Allen carried their college teams to tremendous success, but yet some expect that to be exactly what they'd do with a middling talented team in Buffalo that gave up the majority of its draft to get one of them.

Now, I'm not saying that they might not be good NFL starting QBs, but expecting savior level play is betting on a very long shot.

SAVE US, MASON RUDOLPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Throw 80 yard TD passes to Kelvin Benjamin, while either Roquan Smith or Tremaine Edmunds rack up 300 tackles and 100 sacks next year!

His whole body of work is no good because he hasn’t faced the jags ?

Lot of haters, he’s clearly better than all the QBs on last year’s roster.

I really hate the way he throws over the middle and red zone with ease, that will never work in a passing league like the nfl. ??

Come on in, Ryan.  There's room for one more!

Or as our WRs were running wide open with TT?

Watch this video and you'll notice that, in many instances, his receivers were running around wide open because they were going up against terrible defensive backs. Rudolph won't have this luxury in the NFL.  He'll need to learn to feel pressure coming from legitimate defensive ends and linebackers and be able to throw through very tight windows.

Great interview! I would not be surprised if the Bills like Rosen, Rudolph, and White. They all appear to be the type of QB that Beane is looking for. I'm also glad that I am not crazy for liking White as a day two prospect.

A day two prospect will bring this franchise back to the glory years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <heavy sarcasm>

No.  I would not.  Give mccaron some weapons and a defense and see what he's got and have Rudolph develop

Maybe that's what the Falcons should have done in 2008: pass on Matt Ryan, keep Joey Harrington at QB and take the best defensive player available at 3.  If they did that, they'd have multiple Lombardi trophies in Mercedes Benz Stadium <thick sarcasm>
