  1. Dont do steroids, or you will end up like that famous rich, probowler. He only made millions of dollars in only a few short years... wow, those steroids really did screw up his life. What will he do now? maybe beg for change on the side of the road holding a cardboard sign that says "Please help, Steroids ruined my life, God Bless".

  2. I really like Greer. He always seemed to be in position last season, however, somehow the WR just kept making great catches. The fact that hes almost always in position is great IMO. Most other CBs end up getting beat and the WR has an easy catch.

To be honest, I would like to see our 1st rounder play well and eventually see McKelvin and Greer both start, and move McGee to the slot (though I dout he will like that very much).

  3. The chargers have wanted to move for a while now. If the chargers hadnt turned their game around when they drafted Rivers, they would probubly already be gone.

But when the topic of teams moving comes up, the media only wants to look at small market teams who complain about making money, or teams who havent won in a long time.

The really strange to me is that they talked about Texas (which recently got an expansion team) instead of California.

  4. Get the deal done with Evans first. (they seem to be close to getting tht done). Peters definatly deserves a new contract. Hes a Probowl LT, but still being paid on his old contract.

I would like to see Evans signed within a week or so, and then start talks with Peters, finalizing it before the preseason.

  5. The real question is, will they tell the people buying the tickets that the view is obstructed? Or will it just be a nice little surprise? They have to sell them for half off or something.

Simply saying that they are not selling them as season tickets doesnt really solve anything.

  6. The majority of it is the $20MM claim in bonuses from the Falcons. If the courts say that is his money and they can't ask for it back, then he's better off, but still in a bad place (other than prison).

the article stated: "After the plea on dogfighting charges, the Falcons tried to recover about $20 million in bonuses Vick earned from 2004 to 2007. But a federal judge held that Vick is entitled to keep all but $3.75 million of the money paid to him for playing football through the 2014 season."

So im assuming he gets to keep most of his money. People dream of winning the lotto for millions of dollars. He gets to fall back on millions. Im not happy about it, but hes not going to have to work another day in his life if he doesnt want to.

Though, based on his comments, he will pretend to find god, say he's sorry, and someone will pay him a ton of money to do something.

  7. So Vick has millions right now. Declares bankruptcy, and gets to keep his money. Wow.... that must suck for him.

also, how can someone owe between 10 and 50 mil? Seriously. A 40 million dollar range? Im sure someone could add up a few numbers and come up with a smaller range than that.

  8. Williams was a late draft pick who has started almost all the games the last 2 years. He deserved a contract extention and raise.

Evans was a very high draft pick and signed a larger contract. Though, I would love to see him extended for the long term.

With Peters probowl vote and increasing nfl respect for him, Im not surprised he wants a raise. Hes also plays one of the more important positions on the team (LT). If he is not extended this season, he will be before next season.

  9. he "fell out of favor" because he was constantly beat in coverage AND agenst the run. He didnt understand what his rsponsabilities were and gave up some big plays (both running and passing).

I do not see him contributing much to the team this year (if he makes it through camp). If they offer someething higher than a 6th, I would take it.

  10. I saw this on espn this morning. Everyone was blowing off what Donahe (sp?) said. All the quotes and comments basically said "We dont believe anything this felon says" or "we are tired of this whole situation".

The NBA are just trying to blow it off as nothing more than lies from a criminal.

I dont buy the NBAs side at all.

yes, he is a convicted criminal, but he was in a position to know these things and is modivated to say what he knows. I would not accept his word as is, but he is talking about specific people at a specific times regarding specific acts. The NBA HAS to perform some investigation. It may turn out to be nothing but lies, but that is not nearly as bad as trying to (or even appear to) ignore/cover up major game fixing.

The more the NBA dismisses these acusations as "nothing but lies", the more I think those lies are really true.

  11. I'll reserve judgment until I actually play the game. Personally, (and I know this is has been discussed at great length) I think the NFL's exclusivity contract with Madden has put the game 4-6 years behind where it SHOULD be.

That probably won't stop me from purchasing it.

    I completly agree.

The 2K series did pass madden in gameplay, and at the time was only a fraction of the price. Madden just updates the rosters and adds one "new" feature to the game and sells it for $60 bucks.

  12. If I played just 1 snap, or even if i played special teams or something, I would rather have the SB ring, but if I really did nothing.... the ring would have no meaning to me.

I know they give rings to players who were on the team at some point and left in mid season. What do those players do with their ring? do they wear it around telling everyone he won the SB? I dont think so.
